I might be the only one who thinks this but here we go.
There is a very clear knowledge gap in this anime after watching this last section of the anime. What do I mean?
I mean the knowledge of Western Gods versus the Eastern ones.
It just didn't really feel like they had any Westerners there to fill in the gaps.
It felt very much biased towards the East and very much felt like they weren't really interested in doing their research. Really lowered the score for me.
Look, I LOVE Anime and what it brings to the world, but when there's clear biases towards a subject, it
...
throws me off.
I don't mind if there was a knowledge gap for all of them, I'd be fine if they really committed to just going nuts and not worrying about accuracy, but when there's effort in certain spots and not others, it just rubs me wrong.
But it really gave me the vibe that since they had more knowledge of the East, they'd definitely make humanity cheer for them too and have one even join their side.
By the last few, it didn't even feel like a Gods vs Humans any more. The premise has completely changed and it's not what I signed up for.
If you actually wanted the Gods vs Humans premise, I'd skip this anime completely or at least watch up to Season 2 and just stop it there and not watch part 2 of season 2.
