Say what you will bro, but up until episode 11 i was like nuh uh they aint gone hit me with a cliffhanger. Then they hit me with a snow white with the red hair, when i was expecting season 1 of masamune (before the second series). This is quite truly one of the greatest late night experiences i've ever had. It's something you defo need to get on cuz romance anime don't get given out like this. If you like romance this the one for you my guy, had a blast watching this, my heartstrings were yanked from my body and i thought i ... wouldn't survive if i got a bad ending. Was it kinda generic if you have experience with romance media, yes, but i dont think that matters. The animation was solid, thats all i really ask for these days. Was there some stuff that maybe could have been added, sure but thats fine, doesnt worry me.

Imma keep it a buck fifty, show is basic. Kind of copies another show in more than one way, but I'll let you figure that one out. Let's skip the whole isekai ting and go straight to the core of the show, which is helping those who are unable to afford what they need. Gives a nice message about helping those who have nothing and using what you have to help them. It's kind of hard to write a review for this since its really just a basic show about a "kid" trying to help those in need. Standard isekai that doesn't focus too hard ... on the "other world" part and skips the power fantasy trope in exchange for a story about helping people. If you find isekai anime to be boring and redundant, maybe try this one out, it isn't as bland as 90% of the other shows in this genre.

When I tell you this was the first anime to break my heart. I couldn't fathom the amount of pain I would have felt when I started this show. I was here for a standard romance anime. Fun, light-hearted, sweet, and heartwarming. I got that for the most part. What I didn't expect was something that would break my heart, rebuild it, and shatter it again within a few episodes. I knew fairly early on what the show would end on, but I didn't really expect it to happen. It wasn't until the start of the final episode that everything kind of started hitting me ... and this feeling of dread, knowing that this was the end. The show is fairly simply, well paced, and overall terrific. I enjoyed how the show portrayed grief and how it affects people differently. It shows us all the stages of grief perfectly throughout different people in the show. Ultimately the show is about the story between our two main leads and how their stories intertwine and lead to new memories being made. Isla has got to be one of my favorites in the show, simply because we see her evolve from being a glorified tea maker to a full fledged person with motivations. Her reasons for wanting to stay disconnected from people to avoid creating "plastic memories." Tsukasa is a standard anime protagonist, but when paired with Isla, he is elevated to much more. Their dynamic shifts through the course of the show left me sad and happy so often that by the end, when they are finally accepting of one another, it made me feel accomplished and full. All for it to be stripped away in one of the saddest scenes I will ever have the displeasure of watching. It left off on a bittersweet end, given that our two leads have accepted the fate they were given. By the time the credits hit, I was drenched in tears, not wanting it to end.

I really think the first half of this shows is actually quite decent all things considered. As much as I despise the latter half of this show, SAO is one of the most influential anime in the past 10 years. It practically popularised Isekai's before that term was even mainstream. Every other isekai these days take notes from SAO and sometimes flat out copies the entire premise of the show. I think the first episode of SAO is a top tier first episode for an anime ever. That being said the show does have some very heavy flaws. That being the progression of the story ... after Kirito starts his relationship with Asuna. Once he starts dating Asuna the story quickly proceeds to start ending and all the threads really just come together all of a sudden. This would be fine if it wasn't a two-cour show. Once we conclude our first half of the story, we are suddenly bounced back to the real world, while being an interesting concept, seeing what life would be like for those who were stuck in that game for a long time and seeing the world develop without them experiencing it, is ultimately flat considering we have the other half of the season to go. And with that we are given perhaps one of the worst arcs I have ever experienced, that being the Alfheim Online Arc, Where we find that our main heroine is captured and its up to our protag to save her. Now this arc is boring, dull, and a sorry extension to the SAO concept. That was a very long reason. It is true that the story of SAO is cut far too short, or better said rushed way too fast. My other problem is our cast of characters, mainly Kirito. Kirito starts of as a dark and brooding main protag (excluding the first episode to an extent) but once he meets Asuna all of a sudden he's nice and likes people. Now this wouldn't be an issue if it was a slow progression, but it's not, it takes about 1 or 2 episodes for him to turn into a "nice guy." Not to mention every girl he meets seems to think he's the shit for some reason but that's just lazy writing. If the story and characters were treated with way more respect, this show could have been one of the greats. But no, it will forever be a laughing stock due to how poorly written the characters and story were.

I dare you to give this a low score because it was "dumb, stupid, and lacked substance." This is the perfect type of show that you can watch and not have to think about deeper themes. I was sitting there laughing my ass off throughout the whole show because I wanted to have fun and that was the experience. I do believe that Uzaki can get annoying for sure but, I just went with it after a certain point because there was no point in complaining about it. I am looking forward to the second season if it was as fun as this one was. ... I did find some things I didn't like just because something like this was never going to be perfect but It was a fun ride and hope the next season is good.

Let's play a game. It's called taking an interesting concept and making it boring and unimaginative. It involves having a main character who looks boring talks boring but is actually very smart but others don't see it. Let's also have a heroine who is smart and hot and stuff but let's have her fall in love and get flustered with our protagonist. Let's not focus on our plot that is oh so very interesting considering what setting we are in. Let's have several plot twists that go nowhere. Let's also waste the last arc of the show on a dumb reveal that benefits no one ... because it's super fucking dumb. These are my unbiased thoughts. Clearly. I do not recommend this if you want a fully fleshed out concept and characters.

What I wanted was a story about the first black samurai. What did I get? A story about the first black samurai, and robots. The second I saw a robot my interest was lost almost instantaneously. I was very excited about this show at first, seeing that LaKeith Stanfield was voicing Yasuke in the english dub. Unfortunately, not even he could save the the unoriginal story that is drowned even worse by the addition of robots that 100 percent should not have been there. The premise was protecting a girl with mysterious powers from evil people who want to harness her power for evil. This ... is a drawn out subject matter and it shows as we had a happy ending with hardly any development for who Yasuke is or how he fits into this world where apparently robots are roaming feudal Japan. Would not recommend this show.

So very disappointed with the outcome of this season that really should have either ended with season 3 or at least not had Retsuko work backwards. Throughout the first 5 or 6 episodes i was fine with because it looked like at least Retsuko was going to go back to where she was at the end of season 3, but no we had to dive into a whole Haida is commiting fraud with the president of the company and Retsuko has to stop him because she cares about him and it becomes mission impossible all of a sudden. I was actually very intrigued about the ... kind of stakes having a new president might bring upon our main cast of characters and what it shows about workplace culture and office politics and such. I did however, quite enjoyed what the show did with Director Ton, showing him as someone who cares about his employees and not trying to fire any of them just to save costs, real character development from him. Complete opposite with Retsuko, having her figure it out during the first 3 seasons just to have her erase most of her character development. Unfortunately only season 5 can save this show from the direction it's going.

Very good. I liked it. After countless romance anime, this one felt refreshing compared to other ones. Would recommend if you want something easy and digestible. I did find some pretty common and basic story structures within the anime but that's just par for the course I would say. My only real complaint would be skirting the line between jokes and heartfelt moments, because having too many jokes during moments of seriousness can leave a sour taste in the mouth afterwards. Other than are small nitpicks that can be rectified with more exploration in a season 2, such as expanding Gojo's inexperience with the outside ... world, or possibly with Marin's struggles with her father as he seems to be absent from her life. Those are just some of my ideas that should be explored. Also shining a light on the more delicate intracacies of the cosplay culture.

It isn't an anime season without the trashy power fantasy show (which this definitely is) showing up. I'm taking this anime for what it is, trash that is somewhat fun to watch and although the plot is pretty basic, guy comes back and saves the people or ends the war, thats how it goes. This show is inoffensive and that's fine, i don't expect every anime to be Evangelion or Tatami Galaxy.

As far as the the art and sound go, they're not the best, but they're not that bad either, so not much to scratch at.

Characters are as bland as they come, guy op, guy ... gets girl, gets one more, and another. His harem is built of the shy, the mad, and at the end the grateful, the basics.

I honestly enjoyed myself throughout most of it, my favorite parts would be when the fan club starts singing, i just kinda find it amusing.

Overall this won't be for those who want a god tier anime or even just an average anime, but if you take it for what it is then you'll be fine.
