I cannot fathom why anyone would watch the first season of this anime and think anything other than how the man female is a cruel bully. I would use her name, but after seeing the first season I honeslty can't remember any of the characters names. The anime follows a pattern; main girl tricks/pranks/makes fun of the main boy in the series, the boy feels anxious/emberassed/mad about what she does, he tries to get back at her and constantly fails, boy gets in trouble. Not only does this unfold for the main characters, but the writer also does this with his audiance as he makes
...
you believe that maybe the girl (who clearly likes the boy) is finally doing something nice for the boy only to go through the entire series laughing at you when you realize that each nice thing she does literally ends in her just doing another mean thing to him.
Besides the 2 main characters we have 3 other girls who show up in the show. I really don't understand why they show up in the show other than to give us a break from the main girls sadism. Are they all friends with the main characters? Haven't a clue. Are they in the same class, the same school, the same city??? No clue. They literally add nothing to the story other than giving us a break from the main characters constant bullying of the boy.

This reboot even though the 0 would imply it's a prequal instead is more of a re-imagination on the concept yet suffers from the same problems as the original; horribly written dialogue, the show rewritting its own rules in the middle of the show, and characters that in general dont actually act like human beings.
So for some examples of this, we're told in the beginning that unless they kill all the aliens in the alotted time they will all die, yet numerous times throughout the movie the main character is told to not kill monsters because they'll kill him. This literally makes no sense because
...
they are required to kill the aliens or they die anyways. During one of these times the main character goes to save some people who are being attacked by an alien, he vows to protect them, points his gun at the alien, and then continues to point his gun at the alien without firing his gone for no reason other than to create fake suspense. We know that killing aliens gives points; however in the end we see that the main character didn't get all the points he was supposed to, as well we see that the rule of characters who die dont come back because multiple characters come back to life without being resurected with points.... but one of them required points, which makes no sense at all.

TLDR: Bad writing, lazy animation, homophobic. This is not a good anime.
Even though this anime seemed to have a really interesting premise, the execution of said premise is extremely bad. The character writing is some of the most lazy and horrible writing I have ever seen. Imagine someone says to you "in 5 seconds a red car will pass you, in 30 seconds someone will magically appear in front of you, in 2 minutes a pickle will be eaten 15 feet infront of you, and if you walk in to that building you'll immediately die" Now let's say the first 3 things happen you'll be
...
like holy crap, I better not go in to that building then; not in this show though where people are constantly told things that will happen in the future and even though they do they still walk off to their death... why? The story completely lacks fundamental common sense.
That doesn't even get in to the absurd situations like "people with suits on will most likely live and those without won't" so then they split up in 2 groups because there's a time limit and they will die if they dont kill everything and 1 group has all the suited people and the 2nd group is a bunch of eople without suits and haven't really done anything. 1st group kills their target and they wonder why the other group isn't done, the time is so close to ending they say; so what do they do.... they stand there and do nothing even though to other group is only 50 feet away.
Beyond that the anime adds a gay character literally just to show how homphobic the writer of the anime is.

TL;DR: The anime is weird and not in a good way. If focuses far too heavily on a saliva based kink (which involves 0 kissing) and if you aren't interested in that kink it can be hard to watch. The story and characters themselves seem interesting enough however if you aren't interested in the kink I would recommend just staying clear of it because the anime traps you in to thinking there is growth but there never comes any.
So let's get in to it, I stumbled upon this anime through the random function of a site and the first episode is fairly interesting and leads
...
you wondering what exactly is going on. At some point we see the fetish rear its ugly head as the main character who's alone at school decides to lick the drool of a fellow classmates desk.
This show then takes a weird turn as the female classmate knows he licked her drool because he's sick, and the reason he's been sick? Because he's in love and hasn't tasted her spit in 2 weeks. Wait, what? So this must have some type of mythical aspects to it, interesting. Each others spit also allows each other to feel/see each others memories, dreams, feelings. She then starts swapping spit with another female in their class. When they first swap spit the female gains the same injuries of the other. Very mysterious indeed.... the problem is that the anime never actually elaborates on this, everyone else is normal, there is nothing mysterious at all going on other some very weird things that are never explained and have no reason to be in the anime other than just being there.
The main character in this anime ends up just being very creepy; he essentially stalked his middle school crush, he saves her hair, he licked drool off of a desk, and essentially se*ually assaults his girlfriend. He's controlling and jealous and doesn't actually show any real redeeming qualities.
On the other side his girlfriend also makes no sense. She doesnt allow him to touch her; no hand holding, hugging, kissing, hand around shoulders, etc... but she openly allows him to grab her breast in an episode no big deal. Early on she tells him she had a dream about how they will have sex and they start dating, but soon after they start dating a guy in their class asks her out and they start swapping spit, no big deal.
In general, the entire show is a complete mess that makes absolutely no sense and even though the anime could have been good, the amount of spit swapping and talking of drool largely holds back this anime for anyone who doesn't have this fetish, the ridiculous situations that aren't explained at all, and the fact there's essentially no character growth hold this back from being good.

If you look at most of the negative reviews, they essentially read as "I came to watch a hentai and the trash character refused to have sex" If you want to purely see animated breasts go watch a hentai, this isn't that. Mind you, there's nudity in every episode as well as fan service, however there is definitely a story to be told here.
The story: A few males with rare diseases are frozen so cures can be found for them, a virus dessimates the male population, a few males who were frozen are brought back later on to try and repopulate civilization. Now, that's a
...
great premise for all the sex you could possibly want to see but why in the world would you watch anything with a storyline, just go watch a hentai. Instead we actually get a story where, yes, we see the world trying to get the men to reproduce, 2 do and 1 doesnt. The one guy who doesn't is in love with someone who to him only a few days ago he was just with and has decided not to have sex with a bunch of women because he still loves her and wants her found.
The first guy has lots of sex with women, who we see from time to time but he really does nothing for the story because this isn't a hentai and his story is unimportant for the most part.
The 3rd man was in school, he was treated badly, now 5 years later they take all his classmates and put him in school with him. He was bullied while in school and as it's now these womens duty and only chance to have a kid most likely in their entire life they will do what they need to have a kid. This person becomes more sadistic over time as he finds he can do whatever he wants as he's 1 of 5 men alive and we see quite a bit of him because there is a story there.
Now, imagine there are 5 men in the world, what women would do in this situation if they wanted to have kids, what men in this situation would do and throw away the idea of "I just wanted to see naked women" and watch the anime.
If you want a hentai don't watch it.
If you don't want to see nudity don't watch it.
If you're interested or okay with seeing nudity as well as there being a story then watch it. It will be better than say, a monster matsume in regards to actual story.

An anime with completely over-the-top characters, characters who if they actually had the personality they have in the show would have long ago been dead. The only real redeeming quality of this show it the setting of the world which is very clearly dystopian with a background that makes you wondering exactly what's going on. I'll keep most of this short as to not spoil too much; however there isnt exactly much to give away.
The battles themselves arent exactly the best, for example in one episode the main characters in their gundam stick their arm straight out and never move it, but destroy a bunch
...
of gundams that decide to run right in to their drills.
The two mani characters come from an underground place, they break out with the help of someone from another unground city. we later come across more underground cities. How each of these underground cities differ in how they've evolved with their humans is a bright point for the series allowing us to get away from the idiocy of the main characters nearly killing themselves because their so stupid and over the top (you see how I said that again, it's because the main characters literally have 0 redeeming qualities)
Beyond that, episode 6 is partly a flashback episode, which if youre doing a flashback at episode 6 clearly things arent going right for the series.

I started watching the first episode and was a bit confused as to when this was taking place, having watched all 4 seasons (5?) of the original series but was quite excited to see something new as they were on the 50th floor. What I thought would focus largely on the Ais and her perspective of events ends up spending a lot of time following Lefiya Viridis. As the first episode unfolds I wondered to myself why they were bringing a novice adventurer (Lefiya) so deep in to the dungeon as she is completely useless in battle. It was extremely surprising to me to later
...
find out that this completely useless person was level 4, something the show has propped up to be an extremely powerful, confident, and rare adventurer however here is a level 4 that is completely useless apparently in battle and probably would have lost in a fight to a level 1 Bell.
In this series we also get to know a little bit more about the other members of Ais' famila, which would be great however in the end they essentially are just all lovestruck women who have some type of insufferably horrible personality; loud and obnoxious, whiny, worried about breast size, worried who a man/woman is romantically interested in. The only character who seems to have an redeeming qualities is Ais herself, who teeters between stoic hero and scared little girl.
That being said, we do get a decent amount of new lore from the show, though a lot of it isnt explained at all. There's good battle scenes. It makes it watchable, however the biggest travesty of this series is in the end when Lefiya, the bumbling useless idiot, takes out the entire floor 58 monsters for which her familia has never been able to get to, with a single spell making her the most powerful spellcaster we have seen in the entire series just based on that singular feat alone.
It's watchable, but it can be frustraiting to the inconcistencies in story telling, pacing, and horrible character traits of the individuals.
