Both main characters of their respective shows want to break into some sort of art (Blue Period: painting; Dance Dance Danseur: ballet) but only seriously start it as a teenager while their peers have been doing it for years. Both protagonists struggle to grasp the basics of their art while still retaining a sense of originality.

Are you tired of seeing isekai that feature some virgin NEET on his adventure to defeat the demon king boss guy or whatever alongside girls whose only purpose is ecchi fanservice? Well then, I offer you these 2 anime! They are isekai, so of course they have the protagonist somehow transported into another world, but instead of following copy paste stories like the Shield Hero, Re Zero, or KonoSuba, both protagonists follow different goals as they go through their new world. Katarina's goal is to simply survive an otome game world, while Myne's goal is to read as many books as possible. Both anime show what isekai can potentially be other than RPG-styled "defeat the final boss" battle stories.

Both are works that both blend seriousness and otaku-related comedy well together. Both involve the harem relationships into the plot without making it the center focus or annoying like other harem ecchi comedies.

Listen, I'm not recommending this to you because they're similar in any way. No, I'm recommending this to you for the sake of Mamoru Miyano's flamboyant, energetic voice acting. These are the works where he shows his loud, dominating voice at his finest.

Both are a heart-warming comedy about a cute orphan girl experiencing what it's like to have a family. However, Spy x Family's main character is Twilight, the dad while Who Made Me a Princess's main character is Athanasia, the child.

The art style is very similar and so is the overall atmosphere. If you like flamboyant, loud characters and action, you'll most likely like watching it.

Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku

Both of these anime have young adults compete in a killing game where only one can be the "winner". Not only does the mascot character who hosts the killing game have a similar design, but they also use similar tactics to coax the characters into killing each other. Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku is a magical girl anime while Danganronpa is a murder mystery anime, but you can still enjoy both of them if the "killing game" idea interests you.

Princess Tutu

Both series follow a magical girl through a fairy-tale like story, trying to fight for her "Prince". Their episodes follow a formula where a person becomes a victim of the antagonist and must "battle" the antagonist to change their heart. In Utena, it's a sword fight. In Tutu, it's ballet. The art styles are both similar, though, Utena (1997) is older than Tutu (2002).

In both anime, the protagonist is exploring another side of themselves. Both are pretty trippy psychological and slightly horror anime. The visuals are also pretty similar.
