Megalo Box has a pretty simple premise going for it. Boxing with "Gear" that heightens the action by strengthening the boxers wearing it.
The sound design is the best thing going for this anime, the punches are crisp, the footwork is slick and streaky, and the soundtrack does a great job of setting the mood.
The Story and characters are the weakest point though. They aren't terrible but fair enough to keep me interested. The story is all about Junk Dog AKA "Gearless" Joe rising to the top of this insane Megalo Box federation thing. He's the most consistent character. His Coach/Partner, Nanbu, is pretty inconsistent which
...
I found a little frustrating. You think he's a scumbag at first and then he changes his ways and is a good guy for a bit, but then he's a scumbag again until he isn't. Sachio is pretty inconsistent too in what he does and wants, but he's a kid so that fit him thematically at least. The rest of the characters are kind of inconsequential to this review as they aren't the main cast.
The art style hearkens back to shows like Cowboy Bebop, or Wolf's Rain. It's got that older look, which really worked for the setting and feel of the show.
Overall it was a fun boxing anime, which is what I came to watch. If you've got an open slot in your anime schedule give this one a shot.

I thought this movie would be necessary to bring closure to the Blood-C series. In the end though it really wasn't.
Saya goes through all these hoops only to basically be told the same thing at the end of the anime.
It was frustrating and slow, but it looked a lot cleaner than the already clean series in terms of animation.
Basically this movie will just reinforce the ending of Blood-C and say that nothing good will ever happen to this character ever, and it won't even answer any of the questions it raised through the series and the beginning of the movie.

This show is not for the faint of heart. There is a lot of blood and gore and weird moments that can and probably will make your skin crawl, heart pound, and head scream.
Story: The story is an interesting one. I don't really want to give it a summary because that I feel that it won't do the show any justice. It's 12 episodes of monsters and blood and gore and happy school days, but the last 2 episodes some crazy stuff starts to happen.
Art: The visuals are very nice in the show. They're very consistent and they nothing really seemed out of place
...
at all during the series. The blood and deaths are animated well, almost too well. The fights aren't terrible but they can be lackluster.
Sound: This show introduced me to my favorite opening theme I've ever heard. The ending sounds very good too but it still doesn't hold a candle to the opening in my opinion. The music in the show is great. There were about 3 prevalent tracks that set the mood and tone to the situation very well. The sound however was a little weird. When Saya, the main character hits things with her sword it doesn't sound right and its a little too loud for the most part. It only sounds satisfying when she lands the slices instead of bouncing off the target.
Characters: The characters are all kind of boring and don't get much screen time aside from the MC, which plays to the advantage of the end of the show. There isn't much development until the end though. It was a good move for what the show is but it left me with a dry taste in my mouth about the whole thing.
Overall I enjoyed the show. I indulged my inner masochist that wanted to cringe at the horrible and brutal deaths and bone chilling, blood curdling screams. Don't go in expecting something amazing, but go in expecting a monster blood fest with some weird stuff going on and it should turn out ok for you.

TLDR; Its a fun show, its cheesy and derpy and has some pretty blatant flaws, but if you just want a fun actiony show to watch then its pretty ok.
This show hooked me. It had a pretty strong opening few episodes in my opinion. Once you get deeper into the show though it becomes a little repetitive and predictable.
On r/anime they pointed out some really glaring flaws that I thought I should mention. Sometimes the zombies show up out of no where and sometimes people do things completely out of character.
The story isn't really worth it. Generic apocalypse shit with some weird theme. Instead of
...
walls (like in attack on titan) its trains.
The art is alright and animation isn't bad. It was consistent throughout the season, unlike Tokyo Ghoul Season 2 which had some very clear budget drops at certain scenes.
The sound and music are the best part of the show. They had a very satisfying kill noise, and the music was very good in my opinion. I didn't watch very many other shows this season so far so I can't compare, but the OP and ED are very good. The dialogue is also pretty clear and concise. The second to last episode ends on a very cool song too.
Characters are bland and boring. The MC becomes this badass hybrid human zombie thing, but he doesn't do anything nearly as cool as his female MC counterpart. Nobody develops and some people are annoying. The MC is not a little crybaby though (for the most part) so that is a plus.
I got what I wanted out of this show. It was a cool, weird themed show that kept me wanting to see what happened next, even if it was predictable.
Overall it is NOT a MUST watch, but if you're open and don't know what else to watch this should be able to hold you over and give you little laugh and a smile, and maybe even a little hype.
Hope this helped!

This anime was cute, yet frustrating. The main characters that are engaged never actually get any alone time to talk to each other and when they do, Kobeni just mumbles and doesn't actually talk about anything.
The story was very vague and didn't have any strong points and was disappointing. The ending was a let down in my opinion.
The art was very good, Kobeni is one of the cutest girls in anime, and each character is very well animated, and the settings are done decently. The characters are the strongest point in the art department.
The sound was pretty cute. They had little piano parts here and
...
there and funny music. Reminded my of Kirby's Epic Yarn at some points actually.
The Characters don't ever develop. They stay very much the same throughout the entire show. Hakuya never speaks for himself, Kobeni never reacts the way you want her too, Benio was funny at first but then it gets super old, and Mashiro never leaves Kobeni or Hakuya alone.
Overall it was a little disappointing with some cuteness mixed in, and it wasn't worth it but it wasn't awful. I'd suggest looking elsewhere if you're looking for a romance anime, because I'm sure most would have more romance than this one.

I'll keep this pretty short and sweet.
Kill la Kill was an amazing anime. It's got amazing action scenes and a great great GREAT soundtrack. The music really did it for me in this one. It's very fanservice-y and I believe they're just making fun of that sort of things in other animes.
This show is one where you don't have to think much, everyone is super simplistic and not that deep, but you do have some development here and there.
If you like strong female protagonists, and OK with fanservice, but like comedy and cool action scenes as well, then check it out. It's
...
ridiculous but it's great fun.

Prison School. What. A. Show.
To preface this, I didn't read the manga. I don't read manga I just watch anime. I do read the discussions on r/anime though and this show has gotten a lot of praise for following the manga so closely with insane attention to detail and important scenes. Each episode is a masterfully orchestrated piece that ends on the most intense of cliffhangers only to be bested by the next episode.
Really though. Right from the start it's really engaging and sets a silly/serious tone that just feels right throughout the entire process of watching. I'm not good at summarizing things very well, so
...
if you want to know what the show is about then you should read some other reviews and/or the description on the MAL page. The concept will sound really odd and maybe even stupid at first but once you take your seat on this wild ride you'll never want to get off.
Visually, it's very impressive but since I haven't seen the Blu-ray/DVD stuff yet, the censorship is very brutal and overbearing in some places. The style is wonderful, but some of the parts where it zooms in on a character are a little odd.
The MUSIC is super intense and really sets a good stage for everything to play out. It has romantic music, silly music, super intense stuff and sometimes the show will switch it around so quickly you don't even know what hits you, but it works. Some of the sounds are little uncomfortable though like when the Vice Prez sweats a lot (sounds like tentacle hentai).
The MC's are wonderfully developed and have a great presence throughout the show and are easily likable. Even the supporting characters are developed enough to just love and laugh at, and they all have their awesome/funny quirks.
Overall, I had one of the best experiences I've ever had while watching anime with this show. It's so funny and crazy that I just can't help myself. Keep in mind that it is very mature and has very mature humor as well. Make sure to watch this alone if you do!
