Mahoraba is definitely an interesting anime, on the surface, it looks like nothing more than a slice of life, typical, boring anime with no plot and uninteresting characters. After watching it, I was pleasantly surprised by it actually.
Story, 7/10: There really isn't a main plot to the show, instead they supplement it with some small stories that may or may not come back in later episodes. The show focuses more on characters backgrounds, which adds to the stories as well. That being said, the pacing can be a bit off some times, certain things that occur do so very suddenly, sometimes with little
...
to no resolution.
Art, 8/10: Everything in this category fit the show pretty well as it really elevates the overall tone. They also use what I believe is called 4 koma, which I feel is used perfectly.
Sound, 7/10: I don't really have much to say about the music, I think if fit the cuteness of the show well.
Characters, 8/10: Probably the strongest part of Mahoraba is its characters, they all developed, and have some very complicated backgrounds. Mostly Kozue, she has MPD and instead of being shunned, made fun of, or looked down upon, the other characters in the show actually care about her other personalities as if they were separate people.
Enjoyment, 7/10: I liked it, normally something I don't watch and probably one that I won't watch again, but it is fun and cute. Characters were the best part in my opinion.
Overall, 7/10: Its definitely not like other shows that have similar concepts, the characters in particular are very well done, I do feel however that some things were left out, the ending of the show felt like a bit of a letdown. . But I recommend it.

Story, 9/10: The story of Beck is about a teenage boy who is boringly average, has no life goals, just goes through the motions of daily life, and to top it off has a questionable taste in music. Well one day he encounters a prodigy of guitar playing, and his life changes forever. Beck is the name of the band that the previously mentioned boys form along with a few others.
In my opinion the best thing about the story is how it shows just how hard it can be to make it in the music industry. The members of BECK constantly have to
...
jump over obstacles, and backstage politics such as big wigs trying everything they can to make sure they don't sell records, can't perform at big venues or music festivals, and finally even trying to turn members against each other.
Art, 10/10: The art is simply fantastic, the amount of detail in facial expressions, clothing, rain, snow and other weather background detail and instruments is some of the most realistic I've ever seen.
Characters, 8/10: The character development is probably the weakest part of this manga, but really its still very good. All of the main characters and even a few side characters get developed fairly well, my only wish is that some of the other band members got more fleshed out
Enjoyment, 10/10: Man, this just knew all of the strings to pull, just the type of music they talk about is stuff that I love, mostly classic rock, Like The Beatles, The Who, Jimi Hendrix. Also the way it uses the "never give up" cliche, normally an eye roller, but for some reason it just fit.
Overall, 10/10: This is definitely a new favorite of mine, seeing them be put through things that a lot of people have tried to face but just can't overcome and refuse to give up on their dreams is something you don't see often these days, most people just want everything handed to them. All that being said however their are parts of Beck that won't be for everyone. I say that if you love music you should at least give it a try.

Really this is more of a lost episode than a special, this review is going to be a little short since there really isn't that much to go into. The Story is mostly about rapping up some loose ends, with development for a character that didn't really get any during the main series. Unfortunately, it feels a bit rushed considering it happens in the length of an average episode. Also it leaves a bit more unanswered questions than it resolves, but I can respect that they at least tried.
The art and sound remain the same, so nothing to really go over there. the
...
action and craziness are still maintained and fit with the main series. As far as personal enjoyment goes, I didn't mind it, I wish it was a bit longer or they had say 2 or 3 specials in total to wrap up all loose ends, but it was fine for what it was.

Story, 6/10: The story was honestly, the hardest thing for me to put a rating on. There are moments when KLK tries to have serious emotional moments only to be followed by several jokes and ridiculous ones. Its not too complicated to follow, but the absurdity of it can feel like a little too much at times.
Art, 8/10: Really good, from character designs to backgrounds to the animations ,this is one of the strongest aspects of KLK. They are able to make what would otherwise be bland and simple setting look much more grand then they should.
Sound, 10/10: The soundtrack is amazing, I
...
don't really have anything negative to say about it, I mean whenever I hear "Don't loose your wayyyyyy! I can't get it out of my head for at least a week. It definitely fits the battle scenes and got my hyped whenever I heard it.
Characters, 8/10: The Characters are another very strong part of the show, they are unique and have personalities that fit their character and are memorable. My biggest issue is with Mako, the comedy relief of the show, sometimes she is entertaining while others see is just annoying.
Enjoyment, 8/10: I had fun watching this show, more than I thought I would to be honest. The art, sound and characters made this show, the only reason
I didn't rate it higher is mostly because of the story, but also there were times when the nudity felt a bit much.

Story, 3/10: The story suffers from poor pacing, there are times when the show will cut to a random event or random people and never explain what's going on.
on top of that the story takes a long time in the beginning to get moving, only to rush to a disappointing end. A character out for revenge joins with another that's immortal because of a curse/spell, nothing new there.
Art, 5/10: The art, for me at least, was average. The main characters and villains were the most notable nothing else really caught my eye, my biggest gripe would be battle scenes....apparently they've decided to not
...
really show them.
Sound, 4/10: The music wasn't anything special either, there is pretty much only one song that use throughout the show regardless of tone, and it gets annoying.
Character, 2/10: There is little to no development for characters in this show, I never really cared for any of them. This is probably the thing that angered me the most, my favorite part of Anime/Movies/TV Shows and etc.
is well developed characters.
Enjoyment, 2/10: I had to force my self to find something to enjoy, the only thing I did was what little fight scenes there were.
Overall, 3/10: The lack of story and character development, the mediocre and average sound, this anime made me tear some of my hair out.
Now I haven't read the manga but, it seems to me the only reason this anime exists is to get you to read the source material which is terrible, why would you try to cram so much into so little, instead of trying to fit maybe a small portion, and making itreally good? Oh well, thankfully I never have to watch this again.
