I can't believe this manga is as highly regarded as it is on here.

This manga was nearly the same for its whole 212.2 chapter run.

The story for each and every single pair is almost always about misunderstanding, being embarrased to reveal their own feelings and doubting themselves. That's it, nothing else. All of these issues could have been solved in around a dozen chapters at the most, but apparenlty people stop talking to each other literally the moment someone else interrupts them (which happens all the goddamn time in this manga).

The art is pretty poor as well, many of the characters look the same, the ... facial reaction shots look exactly the same on each character which make them look even more similar then they already are.

This is the kind of manga that's as wide as the ocean (chapter-wise) but as shallow as a puddle. None of the characters feel real, none of these relationships feel real. All in all it was a waste of time and I don't really know why I even kept going.

The characters, like I said, most of these characters are pretty similar, but I would be lying if I said they weren't enjoyable.

Some grew to be my favourites and I dreaded reading others chapters. However because all of these characters had more or less the same kind of story that they went through made this a moot point in the end anyway.

The longer I read, the more I started hating all these "characters".

Would definitly not recommend, unless all you want to read is the same stuff just told with different characters for 212 chapters.

Loved it! The characters were awesome and the whole manga had such a warmth to it. All in all it was a wholesome feel good manga with an amazingly executed romance. The character arcs of each character where well done and nothing really felt cliche.

This manga has pretty much ruined all other romance mangas for me, because all these other mangas seem to tease the couple getting together forever and none of them ever seem to really be in love. However in Taishou Otome Otogibanashi I can really feel the love radiating through the main characters.

The only negative I have about the manga is that ... it ended too aprupt. I'd have loved for it to have at least another 3-5 chapters. Still, this is a must-read manga for anyone who wants to read a romance manga, your soul will feel cleansed afterwards, trust me.

I really liked the first 30+ chapters before they were a couple. It was really well done and sweet. It was still a fun read afterwards however the main couples characters changed overtime and quite suddenly.

After awhile they also turned into side characters in the very manga which is named after them! While other characters got their own romances and storylines, which isn't necessarily bad but that coupled with the change in character just made it worse. I'd still recommend people to read the first 30+ chapters. At that point you'll want to spent more time with these characters though and end up reading ... everything.

It's still an enjoyable read, but it's frustrating to see such a great start devolve into such mediocracy.

The story is pretty basic, yet charming.

The main romance between Komi and Tadano is a super slow burn but it's pretty cute. However it seems to have been stagnating since the very first chapter.

The side characters are all anime/manga tropes and some are really, really annoying (Yamai!). The "joke" of Komi being a goddess and how other people react to her presence gets old really fast, to the point where I am annoyed and rolling my eyes whenever it happens yet again. I wish the manga would have lost all the annoying side characters and that dumb goddess aspect and mainly focused on ... the main chars and their romance.

Overall the way Komi and Tadano interacted with each other is the reason why I've kept reading and their scenes together are all pretty cute and fun to read.
