If you're fine reading such themes : R*pe and sex cult, it's a safe to continue.
Warning, this manga also contains: Cannibalism, non-explicit ped*, non-explicit animal torture.
Here's my thought.
TL;DR: Many dark themes but too rushed, predictable, zero development, weird romance, no emotion.
The story itself isn't as unique as it is just another death game. But it's completely fine by me as long as it's enjoyable in the end. Yet, this manga isn't fulfilled my lowest expectations. I think it's nice to clarify that I'm not gonna against author's rights to build their fantasies into literature, I appreciate all of 'em (except Netorare, hehe)
The story is too
...
cliched. Foreshadow isn't function as a sign anymore but a huge spoiler, too predictable, which is a fatal mistake in building a suspenseful story. Even the author named every chapter's title as one of its spoilers. The pace is too rushed, no emotion you'll get towards character's death, character's past, and even the rape attempt feels hollow lack of hate. Some character's actions are meaningless. It's kinda realistic that the author tried to depict mostly into sexual desires in midst of panic instead of cult religion like it mostly done in most literature I've ever known. But still I can't think those reasoning. Desires in female characters got involved in sex cult are unconvincing and seems like too forced. Fact that the story is too rushed in 39 chapters supports my idea. And finally, the ending is super cheap and hard to relate to the actual main story.
Too much characters in only 39 chapters while they got no development at all. Yuki might be my best for her feeling towards protagonist, but that's all. The romance element is weird, character's personalities are all too fantasy.
The drawing is also weird. It's not bad but just weird while I love the book cover.
If you ask about my enjoyment. Yea, I surprisingly enjoyed this manga, but it's just because I just want to read something.

One thing that I find hard to read is how I hate the central heroine and love her appearance at the same time.
Story (9): At first the concept of first love zombie feels like another weird romcom thing but changed my thoughts that it slowly turned into a good drama material. Some reader might find this hard to enjoy in early chapters because it will focused more into protagonist helping side character's love, but then it changed into protagonist's personal matter. And that's the best part where the reader should not skipped. It's not a story with tense or suspenseful atmosphere. Yes it sometimes hurt
...
my feeling as typical love triangle story, but it has a good pace. Just, I wish the author could create the ending into two different chapters because I personally as the reader need the longer good feeling. More importantly, just believe me you'll hate the ending arc but will forget about that in the last page. It's just how clever the author played reader's feeling.
Characters (9): I hate the central heroine, because despite all of the things, she played victim over the protagonist even Eve herself (it's not a spoiler since you'll know it around the beginning). I hate her more than Runa in the common route of Hatsukoi 1/1. But even so, it is kinda amazing but sucks at the same time. Tarou at the latter chapters will sometimes change his hairstyle and he looks super cool that way. Every character has their own thing that you'll love, even Tarou's father that will only appear near end of the manga. Some minors don't felt like left out from the story, even were involved. I don't usually care with side character but Kyouko and Tarou's great grandfather whoever his name is, I love them so much even how short their appearance is.
Side story (8): Aside from main story of drama around Tarou & Ririsu & Eve, there's not much side stories that I remember because it all somehow connected to each other. But if you ask, the dragon princess festival, where the very minor character like Kyouko and Tarou's great grandfather appeared, is the best part of all. It's a tearjerker like every romcom must have but feels more than just that. It's also a kind of turning point important for the main story. It's all not just a side but also part of the main one.
Art (9): To be completely honest, I didn't get any interest when looking at the cover, first chapter's character designs. But it changed over time. It's just that good. Male & female characters are all great in terms of art design. Their cinematic illustrations are amazing. Even more with the colored page/illustration where you can see in color, it all so pleasing.
Enjoyment (10): All that lacking feels like nothing. It just that good.

Love polygon as the major theme listed? Funny. The author even like left one of the heroine out of the story almost entirely and she's still listed as main character? It's no more than a rom-com SoL, believe me.
Story (8): Well, I'm not a person who's gonna against author's rights in building their fantasy into a literary media. But the fact that I've said above, it just obvious that it's kinda annoying since I was expecting a love triangle drama (Shout out for White Album). Yea it's still count as love triangle but you won't feel it's right either after reading for like 10 chapters
...
(? not sure). At some turning of events that I was so much excited for (or did I?) again I got turned down by how the author skipped it out out of the blue and continuing the story like it was never such a thing in the first place. The story itself isn't really that complex since you can predict how it will going to be ended right form the start. Yea, that's another point of how annoying it is. But overall if you are not considering the love polygon tag and see this work as a pure rom-com, it's a green light.
Side Story (?): Side story involving other characters I found A-OK. Not bad, but not great either. But if you wanted to ask which better, I'll give my vote to the band. I don't think it's just a waste, so, no worries.
Art (9): The character design is cute, especially for both main heroine. But that's also the reason why I thought that the author actually avoiding serious drama or otherwise it kinda looks off at some point even though it doesn't really matter anyway.
Characters (7): Loveable for main characters but pretty generic. Not that unique since you can find the trope in almost all the same manga type as this. Their reasoning in building up the story is just too lazy, I guess it just how most of harem story works. Protagonist isn't really great but I like the fact that he's not too hyperbolic like how harem protagonist in most manga. Wanna know what it means? Read it.
Edit: Yea, I know it's not harem but, I just kinda couldn't think otherwise when writing the review.
--------------------
TL;DR: Mediocre but it's a great reading. Just one advice from me is that try to let go that hope of seeing love triangle drama since it's not really the point here.

This part is just a typical review. I pour all of my frustration in the second section, just jump to it if you wanted to.
-- Story:
Noting much you have to expect than a teacher who has 2 students confessed to him. It just a typical romance story, nothing more. You'll learn a bit about Japanese poetry in this manga. While it's not a great as it seems, but I love how the atmosphere really shows how romantic Higuchi is despite all of his immaturity in love (What am I talking about? I dunno how to say it properly, that's it) But one thing that makes
...
me regret reading this manga, it's the ending. It's not like the plot is bad, no, just jump to the second section if you are curious on what am I talking about.
-- Art:
Normal beyond unique. Well, I can't judge art since I can't draw myself and as long as it's neither inconsistent nor improper proportions, I'm absolutely fine with it. On top of it, this manga doesn't as far as to illustrate Visual Novel's CG-like art, but it still amazing on its own.
-- Character:
I love them, all of those three. As the story flows, as their relationships grow, you'll love them more too. But the two heroines lack the most crucial thing in the story, they have no background story that fills up the hole why they love Higuchi that much. Here I was expecting it would be revealed in the last 3/4 chapters but nope, I didn't get anything.
--Enjoyment:
How could I give less than 10 if I read this whole manga in one seat?
--COMMENT ON THE WHOLE MANGA:
Yea, reading this one feels like a nostalgia, or maybe something that I've never experienced before but recalls to have feel it at some point in my past. Even with zero background story for the characters, I still develop my love for all those three. In a small bitter scene, even if it's just a page or a single panel, I can feel how hurt it is. Anyway, I have some frustrations while reading this.
The first I've said earlier about background story, the second is even though this manga is supposed to be for teen and have slightly submissive ecchi as a topping, but there's a scene that out of the blue shows explicit nudity, like a sudden NSFW. For some readers including me, it should have no problem to you, but there are people who can't receive this.
The third is the ending. The only thing I hate about harem is not how it always flavored by ecchi tag, but how the story ends. It hurts. Even if you like harem ending, or an ending where only one heroine who win the protagonist, it still hurts cuz I love both types of ending, and both heroines in this manga. Only if Taguchi Hoshino-sensei from Maga-Tsuki take a part for the ending, I could actually give this one a perfect 10.

Okay to the point, this anime's art's just looks like hentai being made with a really good source. I mean, no offense to actual hentai but, just take the sarcasm.
Story:
The story is... No different with another cheap isekai genre with overpowered MC. Npthing much you can expect here.
Like it said on the title, mob chara. The story really drives your understanding on how overpowered the MC is. Well, actually it's Luxion who did the whole job. But, on top of that, if you're looking from the perspective of those five otome game main characters, Leon really just looks like a Mob character who makes the
...
lore seems more interesting.
Characters:
I love how the author build the character Leon. It's not like a lot of characters you can found in literature (at least those that I've read before) He's just... evil, but not exactly evil.
For other character like Olivia and Ange, meh, just treat em like harem heroines. Nothing much interesting for an actual heroines, but those two just good as it is.
Worldbuilding:
Yea, this one is pretty messed up, even the author and Leon himself said it directly lol. The world is looks so random as you follow the plot. Fantasy world with mecha and magic and magical items and everything. I know I didn't explain anything. But, because of how messed up the world is, that's what makes this one really good for me. Everytime I saw something so out of place and weird and illogical coming, it made me smile.
Oh yea, the mecha's animatiopn is pretty good I can say. Tho you can't compare it with how Love Live's today. It's still amazing watching mobuseka.
Conclusion:
This one is a good show. No compliment for the art sadly, but still worth a shot.
Fan of mecha? Well, you'll be disappointed a bit on the flying mechanism.
Fan of harem? Well, a good thing for you.
Fan of fantasy? Forget about it, this one more to be on mecha while the magic is still a big thing.
Fan on evil MC? Be ready to smile everytime
That's all on my mind.

I'm not gonna write any long and detailed review, here's just what I think after reading the first volume:
- a good comedy tho it just gave me some chuckels than loud laughter. An absurd arranged marriage threat, and using always-fighting couple treat to create a lot of comedic dialog.
- There are a lot of good events that I've never bored when reading even tho at some points it feels like just too fast to be ended.
- I found the relationship development feels natural without forcing like, "It should be this! So I will take any means to do it."
- Adorable
...
- Pretty adorable
- So much adorable
I'm not a kind of guy who looking for detailed plotholes or critic to unrealistic development, don't put the blame to me.

I don't have any problem with the taboo relationship, in fact it's my favorite tag.
But here's what I want to say for this work after reading the first volume:
- Only a single internal conflict in just one character and it just run around at the same circle. No one opposing the idea. Since the theme is "taboo relationship", it just feels weird that everyone accepted that.
- Flat storyline. It's basically only from my perspective that everything in this LN just a very flat romcom with nothing to be amazed of except the age gap romance concept.
- Very typical delaying relationship just because this is a
...
'Light Novel' series.
Pain to read something with straight face from the prologue untill epilogue. I can enjoy tbh, but it's just plain enjoyment to kill time.

This anime is surely great and can be an option to start the franchise.
Not about winning after the struggle like Muse [School Idol Project], not a depressing story like Aqours [Sunshine!], nor Nijigasaki who has tons of member which truly represents a school club. Superstar is different, more like slice of life-ish idol story with only 5 members in it. That's what I thought when watching this show for like the first half season (?)
Let's talk about this first half that I was excited for. First thing you will notice is how good Sayurin's [Date Sayuri] voice when singing. The anime will let you listen
...
to her singing at the very beginning of the first episode. More like 'Beautiful', rather than 'Unique' like how Love Live! characters always supposed to be.
Again the protagonist comes with orange-ish color (tho I don't recognize Ayumu as protagonist from Nijigasaki since the other members also gained the same spotlight). Kanon is a girl who love singing so much but something won't allow her to exploit her potential. It reminds me on how Muse told us that it's hard to be an idol who have to keep smiling while singing and dancing.
How they recruit new members is also amazing. Sumire with her ego, Chisato with her promise, and best of all, Ren with her past. I even cried in Chisato and Ren's case. Something new that I didn't get after Sunshine! ends. Soma Ria from Golden Loveriche once said that it's too common to use dead people as tearjerking matrerial. Sunrise can easily get out of the box thinking about this.
But the amazement on the story dimmed right after Ren joined the club. The drama feels rushed and half-heartedly written only to reach 12 episodes target. Yea, I admit that the story is not that bad, just the pace that is not right for me. It's just too fast even at the end of 12th episode I asked myself, "oh, it's ended already?"
Fortunately, critical pace problem can be covered with great insert songs. Nonfiction as example of insert song in 10th episode. They use rap as central point of the song. I was like, what the hell they're going to do. And when it showed right in front of my eyes, it ended to become one of my favorite. In twelfth episode, a scene will remind you to Muse.
Post-credit's Liella no Uta also my biggest point on why I always waiting for this show every week. Drawn in unique artstyle, combined with pretty good song, it just relaxing. Ah, FYI, Liella no Uta in 6th episode makes me fell in love with Paychan's [Naomi Payton] voice.

"Every good thing will start from a boring process"
That's what I think for this series from all Monogatari Series.
As the first series released (but not the beginning of the story) Bagemonogatari is about the introduction of the main character "Koyomi Araragi" with the other main heroine and of course what kind of series we will watch.
Story:
This series contains for about 5 arcs, which in every arc, "Araragi, Koyomi" appeared to help one girl with their supernatural issue. This later that will build the Koyomi Harem.
We have those 5 arcs in one series, It's kinda boring to watch the same pattern of story even though story
...
in every arc is above great. You will definitely say it's great also in the end of every chapter.
For my vote, Suruga Monkey is the best written and Mayoi Snail is the most depressed, you'll find it more depressed in the next series.
Art:
Like what I thought from Shaft studio, they have their own kind of style. Pretty suitable for a series which got a lot heavier in dialogue. Can't deny that as the first series with monotonous arc stories' pattern, viewers will think "what kind of series using this kind of art?" This memorable art style can throw out some viewer from this series.
Sound:
Think I will write this in every Monogatari series' review. Both OP and ED are amazing. Every arc have it's own opening song that reflect on what kind of supernatural thing and the girl that Koyomi will encounter. Voice over from all the dubbers also fits perfectly (I will write more in Character section)
Character:
We have Araragi Koyomi as main Character. He's a man who can't deny to help the other, in this series' case is the 5 main heroine. Not like other series (I mean outside from Monogatari Series) All the heroine have their own unique characteristics.
Let's say Senjougahara, a yandere girl type with no expression. Her voice is like a full emotion girl but with no energy to express, that will make her memorable.
Hachikuji Mayoi, a loli girl with cheerfull type with sad backstory. Small girl who always carry a big bag which makes her looks like a snail.
Kanbaru Suruga, athletic type of girl who loves BL. Her type which looks like an hyperactive human are very interesting.
Sengoku Nadeko, shy mid-scholler who have crush on Koyomi
Hanekawa Tsubasa, The "I don't know everything, I just know what I know" girl who always helped Koyomi to help the main subject of the arc. You'll get this character pretty annoying in fact that she's easily got depressed.
Their voice overs are really suitable with the characteristics of their own character, that's the thing that will make them memorable. Even you can imagine their style of voice perfectly before start to watch the series.
Enjoyment:
I can say, this series is like "Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai" pretty boring at the beginning but also the most important process that we should get through. This "Bakemonogatari" is only given to the one who wants to complete watch the whole Monogatari Series till the end.
In some perspective, I will say "This kinda boring, I need a series that completely interesting"
But in the perspective of person who wants to complete the series I will definitely say "This will be hard at the beginning tho, I have to get through it to get even greater series."
Once more, this is just the introduction of the whole Monogatari Series, and the more interesting thing is laying down in the next series.
