This is definitely not a show I would just recommend to people because it is generic especially for the time this came out. On the other hand, it is something that I have watched a dozen times for absolutely no reason at all other than what I can only see as a guilty pleasure. It is a basic fantasy anime that takes place in high school with an overpowered character that everyone loves and yet I can't escape from it. If you want something to have in the background this is definitely it because you can easily play it while turning your brain off for ... a while.
You will probably not like this if you are looking for an actual story with good action scenes and characters.

To enjoy this you probably need to have a certain type of humor where you don't take things too seriously. I came back for season 2 after enjoying the first and I can't say I'm disappointed. The fight scenes were great and I just liked to watch Cid be a looney toon and others believe he's some undercover genius. It's all in good fun. Even though I probably enjoyed the first season more, I hope a third season will come out especially with that ending.

Some people don't understand that it's supposed to be satire especially with how Cid directly says that he wants to ... act out that one isekai fantasy scene then proceeds to go over and beyond to execute it. As someone that has seen a lot of the isekai genre it makes me glad to see that authors are self aware and know that we've seen this situation acted out a bunch of times.

Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a cute short story. Even the characters are not extraordinary their relationship is adorable and not toxic/abusive in anyway.

Art:
The art is great and it's a good read for passing the time when you're in need of light fluffy stories.

Story:
Nothing crazy but it definitely wasn't boring to read. The dynamic is what got me to read this initially because it's not something I see often and it ended up being great. The conflict was not too serious or long term which was nice because I was not looking for a real slow burn story.

Overall great and worth ... buying the book

The journey was a nice read if you're looking for something not extremely intense. The fact that it involved fashion is what got me to read it in the first place and it was nicely included in the storyline as the main character knew what they wanted more and more after the first chapter. I looked forward to how the characters would grow together and overcome challenges but in the end it was a bit lackluster which in could be the author's intention but disappointing nevertheless especially when I found out I was reading the last volume. The art is okay but I did like ... the clothing designs that they came up with while hoping there'd be some sort of brand deal that came with the release of the clothes.

I went into this movie thinking that I knew a little bit of what happens but I was completely wrong. They were showing perfect blue in theaters for a limited time so I decided to watch it there for the first time and now I can confidently declare that this is my favorite anime movie up to date. The entire time I was interested in what would happen next and it kept me on my toes. I am by no means a horror movie lover but this movie has been on my mind since then.
From the characters to how the story unfolds, it is ... easy to tell a lot of devotion was put into this movie with the outcome being wonderful. I can't imagine giving this anything other than a 10 because there is nothing I would change. Some people may not like older art styles especially this one where idols are the only characters that look like what we're used to but I enjoy it and could only ever ask for a remaster not a remake. If you're planning to watch for the first time, don't spoil yourself! Even if you do the cinematography and direction of the movie will take you for a ride.

While the art is pretty good it was genuinely the hardest watch I've had in a long time because random things kept happening and I was supposed to take them seriously. The ages are weird and the story couldn't completely focus on one thing that made sense. I can usually handle unoriginal anime but this was on another level. This is one of the few anime that might actually be a waste of time. It's not even funny bad it's just bad and that's coming from someone that can give the benefit of doubt. I only gave it a 2 because I watched it for ... the opening and art. If you make it halfway through this I promise it does not get any better.

Tldr: It's bad and the opening song + art got it a 2

This is one of the shoujo anime that I watched after being into shounen for so long and I have to say it doesn't disappoint! The main character, Kyouko, was a funny aspiring actress and made me want to see how far she would go after throwing away someone that didn't appreciate her. I was happy that she wasn't annoying and didn't go crawling back while giving up her dreams. She was very enjoyable and made me laugh throughout the series. There is some character development and things that are hinted at but never come to light in the anime so hopefully there are more ... details in the manga. It's nice to see her overcome trials even though not everything goes her way and how her passion for her craft grows even though initially it is easy to believe that she just chose any high up job for her revenge.

I wish there was a season 2 but for now I will probably continue her story despite it being rather long in the manga. Would recommend to shoujo friends and those who want to pass the time with something easily digestible.

I read this after finishing another ballet manga and it was a good story to pass the time. It of course has its problems like some of Subaru's choices can be repetitive at times but I always wanted to know what she'd do afterwards. The art is nice, it's always a joy to see her dance so passionately, watching her improve her weaknesses are enjoyable.
Rivalries are great as they feature someone with a different attitude towards ballet than the main character Subaru. As many other reviews said the ending and the short last arc is pretty weird and bad but the story continues in ... the sequel that luckily throws that part away except for how she got to her current position.

Would recommend if you are trying to fill that hole after reading/watching show business series.

I'm currently on volume 12 of the 15 translated in english but hopefully translations for the rest of the volumes come out and I can update my review.

As someone that wasn't very involved in the shoujo world before, this has become one of my favorites as I expanded my list. While the main character Hijiri can be stuck in her head when against impressive opponents one can appreciate how she pulls through to the end of the performance even if she doesn't make it to the top. Even though Hijiri has talent and is the main character it doesn't mean that everything goes her ... way and that she is immediately better than everyone without hard work.

Characters:
Sometimes you can see the cliches of the time in a few characters the way they interact with each other is great because they have their own issues and can feel jealous of their own friend like normal people. Seeing the passion all of them have for dance and the things they do to hopefully reach the top make you want more and luckily do not make readers tired of competitions for roles, parts, etc.

Art:
Sometimes I just have to stop and stare because of how beautiful the art is. The author Ariyoshi Kyoko utilizes an entire page spread during some scenes that really bring it to life to the point I'm regretful that I can't watch them in person.

Story:
I'm always ready to read more after finishing a volume because it is really easy to get caught up in the story. It may not be anything over the top revolutionary but seeing the characters interact with each other, change environments, deal with problems, and overcome trials makes me want to continue. It's something that after coming so far you'd want to find out the ending because of the emotional attachment you get from your favorite characters.

All in all one of my favorite shoujo manga now because it has become close to my heart after getting through half of the story. If you like shoujo and sports manga with amazing art then this is probably for you.
