As someone who is familiar with the Douluo Dalu series, this story doesn't feel quite refreshing or original. Despite that, it's highly enjoyable, hence I finished it in a couple of hours.
Story [6]:
The story is like something I have seen before, which is not necessarily a bad thing, as long as it is done right. So far, the story is good, but not outstanding. There are things I personally would like to see go in a different direction, but for now these are OK.
Art [7]:
This series art isn't your typical 2D anime, instead it's more 3Dish. I personally appreciate the 3D animation and art style.
...
The way this series looks, reminds me of a PS3 game or perhaps a Final Fantasy game. It isn't thát pretty, but very well done.
Sound [7]:
Unlike many other shows that I have watched, where I barely noticed the music, there were some sound effects in this show that I actually noticed. The music and other sound effects are more present, which adds to the show.
Character [7]:
The characters are not very outstanding in comparison to other similar shows. Yet I feel like they're still written pretty well. The protagonist is this cocky, weak lad who develops very well. I can't go in further detail about character development due to spoilers. The rest of the characters are not per se developing, yet you come to learn more about them, which is also fun and intriguing.
Enjoyment [7]:
Pretty much sums up the above combined.

So many people talking about this animu as if it is something great, if I'm being honest, it's worse than Zetman and Zetman gives shit a whole new definition. I honestly wanted to at least find this show good, eventhough I did not like it that much. I tried focusing on the good parts, but in the end, it's all about the story. The story starts decently, nothing too special, but about halfway through it's starting to kill itself. Grabbing unnecessary religious concepts out of context and shoving them down your throat. More of my complaints will be listed below.
Story [3]:
Nothing new, except for an
...
MC who's a whining bitch who kinda gets OP but not that OP when you consider that there are lots of characters like him. Also lot's of tits being thrown around for what specific purpose? Having said that, the same goes for all the gory shit. Although I do not hate gore, what I do hate, is when it's used for the sake of being used. If you show it all the time, it isn't making an impression anymore.
Art [8]:
Fresh, not a big fan of the darker colours but it fits the show.
Sound [6]:
Nothing extraordinary.
Character [4]:
No development at all, poorly written, the antogonist's motivations not making any sense what so ever while he is supposed to be this genius kid, etc, etc.
Enjoyment [3]:
First half is definitely enjoyable, second half on the other hand, don't even get me started, my trash bin isn't large enough.

Well, before I start writing the review, I want to say that I had high hopes for this anime but it dissapointed me in a way. As I matured and watched a lot of different series (anime and tv shows) I began watching things differently, I wanted to watch more actual good material. If the series you're looking for has to be actually good, I recommend skipping this one.
[Story: 3 - Poor]
At first the synopsis seems appealing, it made me curious about how the story would evolve. Sadly, the story developed very badly. The real 'plot' behind the series is set in motion by a
...
certain someone (not a main character) who does not have a clear motive of why she did it, and even if she had, it would not have been good enough, the series isn't thought that well through.
[Art: 8 - Very Good]
Not much to say about it, except that I found the art very pretty. The eyes stood out especially, eventhough they looked misplaced sometimes. Another perhaps fun thing to mention, is that I noticed that one of the female main characters looks like she has pudding for hair.
[Sound: 7 - Good]
The music was not that amazing and outstanding, yet it supported the visuals heavily. It only felt like such a waste that the same music was played over and over, which made me get a little annoyed sometimes.
[Character: 3 - Poor]
I really dislike to give this grade to this category, but in my honest opinion, it's not worth higher. The characters barely develop, aside from some obvious growing feelings toward others. Another big miss in the characters is background, there is just so much lacking that it couldn't make me feel empathy for any of the characters. Like one character does not want something (sorry for being vague, I cannot give further details due to spoilers) but no reason for this at all is revealed, which was pretty important.
[Enjoyment: 6 - Fair]
Despite the, in my opinion, bad plot and characters, I give this series an overall 6. This is solely because I happened to enjoy the first couple episodes and perphaps the nice looking visuals.

Story [8]: The story is in my opinion very good. This is like the first E-Sports anime (at least as far as I'm aware) and it does a really good job despite revolving around an MMO type of game.
Art [9]: The art is really pretty and the animation is absolutely well done. Far better than most shows created nowadays.
Sound [9]: The opening is definitely as masterpiece, at first I thought f*ck it (as with every opening), but as I progressed in the show, I didn't want to skip it anymore as I found it thát good. The rest of the OST's are just good and
...
strengthen the story and fights.
Character [8]: The MC is a little bit of an arrogant person (imo) but is also compassionate and above all, very passionate about the game he loves to play. Most other more 'supporting' characters are well build and introduced, some of them even grow during the series.
Enjoyment [9]: There are parts which I wouldn't rate a 9, but there are enough that I do, which is quite rare for me. I just found it very enjoyable how the show progresses, how the characters dealt with situations and all that sort of stuff.
Overall [9]: I think all the above sums it up pretty well.

I had this anime on my plan to watch list for quite some time now, so I decided to finally give a try. I started yesterday and if it wasn't for school I had probably finished it yesterday as well. The show is really enjoyable, at least to me.
Story: 7
Good story about a boy who comes from a rich family that just transfered to this city. He meets a girl and another guy, they soon become friends and the guy and the MC play Jazz together. One on the drums and the other on the piano.
Art: 8
The art looked amazing... Excelent animation as well.
Sound: 7
I'm
...
not in to Jazz music at all, but it didn't sound bad, it was actually surprisingly good.
Character: 6
The characters are good. As the story continues you see more of each (important) character, as well as their background. I didn't like the attitude of MC, so that's why I gave that a 6.
Enjoyment: 7
I enjoyed the show á lot! As said before: if it wasn't for school, I had probably finished it the same day.
