I decided to watch it because I was desperate for some horror and chose anything that even slightly picked my interest. But damn, was I disappointed. The story and characters are mediocare at best, same goes for art and music. But it goes downfall for me with CGI and some major flaws - like with a certain scene when something happens to one of the characters, but then the potential subplot is completely forgotten. Why? Have you ever wondered "I personally know some anime shows I'd consider amazing, stunning. But then, what is the WORST anime of all time?" Me too. I just didn't expect it would be porn of all things. I am here only to express that for the long time, I'll be questioning why I enjoyed this. It is, as the all mighty Anime Man said, borderline beastiality and full-on hentai pretty much, yet I guess just because It's so damn weird and twisted, you get that guilty pleasure kind of feeling. It's not so often (or at least I tnink it shouldn't be) when you give something a 10/10 rating. But yet, Wolf's Rain captured me enough to make that decition. But can I blame it? The story, to me, is very thrilling- from the very first episode, I got absolutely into it and couldn't wait to learn what would happen next. it's a shame it is not as popular as it deserves to be. Through my long journey with anime and manga, I've stumbled across many so-called "ecchi" series, and yet all I saw was a bland fanservice only growing up kid would laugh at. I stumbled across this out of boredom and it was surprisingly really good- even if it didn't look like it at first. I'm gonna say something first- it may be biased despite my hardest wills because of how much I am interested in religion in general (I think that, when done right, it's one of the best topics out there). Honestly, out of all hack. series, this one is in my opinion the best one. Characters had more development compared to others. The story was enjoyable too, even if a bit boring at times. I especially liked later episodes, but I won't be spoiling the plot here. And while I'm here, I just want to say that music in this deserves more attention than people give it credit. At least to me.
