I don't know what you guys are talking about with all the bad reviews, the animation is so pretty in my opinion and so is the story!

I personally liked the new, clean animation style plus the colors are absolutely beautiful. I really love the beachy vibes and atmosphere this animation created as it reminds me a lot of my other favorite animes, "Free!" and "Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop." The artstyle and vibes alone was the reason I started watching it in the first place.

As for the story, I'm also liking it so far. It's very chill yet entertaining at the ... same time. I like all the main characters, and their backstories are interesting to me. I like how the fl's main focus is on her own dreams of being a manga author. And I like how she's trying hard to keep her already existing friendships with the guys while also trying to grow and understand herself and her feelings towards everyone. She's still a highschool student so it makes sense that she doesn't have everything figured out. I suppose the reason I like this story a bit more than the other reviewers could be because I really love the childhood friends to lovers trope in romance and this anime has exactly that. All the mls have been friends with each other and the fl since childhood.

The only thing I don't like is how stressful the story is with the drama and the whole "love polygon" situation but I guess I should've read the tags before starting. Though even with this it's honestly not that bad.
I think if you also like the childhood friends to lovers trope or just want a chill romance anime to watch, you'll probably like this!

This is one of those animes where you feel empty once you're done watching it because it's just that good!

The best way to describe it that I could think of was, imagine Tohru Honda in Violet Evergarden (without the war part) with a bit of mahou shoujo elements.
The story is simple yet beautiful and emotional at the same time!

At first I thought the plot was going to be repetitive or a collection of different stories but it's not like for the most part. It's a story that keeps building and adding to the plot, I especially liked how a lot of non ... main side characters reappeared through the story. It gave it a realistic feel because in real life, you encounter many of the same people from time to time when they live in your neighborhood and stuff.

The ending was very unexpected for me and it was not what I predicted at all. I thought it was going to be a simple, straightforward, happy ending, which it was happy but not in the way I was hoping for. In my opinion, it was really bittersweet and it makes it a bit of a tragedy.

I also really liked the characters and their personal stories. I especially like the main character, Kobato because she's almost like an alien trying to adjust to Earth but also has so much humanity in her. She's so sweet and kind, always helping out everyone out even when it doesn't particularly benefit her in anyway.

It is cute. It is relaxing. It is happy.

This is the perfect anime to watch in the background while doing any repetitive task such as crocheting or punch-needling, or you can simply watch it just to relax. It is a slice of life and pretty chill anime, the storyline isn't too complicated and you can understand what is going on most of the time even if you aren't always looking at the screen. (Just don't forget to turn dub on if you don't understand Japanese.) Unlike other anime genres, the plot of this is not heart-wrenching at all and won't leave you depressed for a ... week

The animation and art style are so adorable, it will make you feel super happy because of the cozy vibes. If you enjoyed watching Tinkerbell movies as a kid because of all the miniature things that the characters used and the nature theme, then you will enjoy watching this. If you liked the Ghibli movie Arrietty, then you will also most likely enjoy this.

Overall, it is a great show and I really loved watching it!
