They're both centered around a dark coming of age story with a demonic possession as a metaphor for adulthood, with both the erotic and violent content being strongly present. Rivalry in forms of other beings such as angels and demons show up with en emphasis of controlling one's urges as well of the destructive powers one has gained. Romance and loss are present as well since Nightmare Campus was heavily influenced by Devilman.

Inma Youjo

Both are centered around how women are viewed as mere objects of desire and how they are punished for just existing within the confines of the patriarchy. Imma Youjo takes a step further to show us just how rooted this shows up in folklore, science fiction, middles ages and the present. Equally as strong in it's feminist message but even more subverted since it uses it's pornographic content against the viewer to ask some profound questions.

Both are social commentaries about the stress and loneliness of living in modern Japan and how sex is used as an immediate comfort but not the solution.

While they're both horror series that are filled with suspense and violent content Oni-Tensei has a Yuri love story instead of the usual heterosexual coupling. Engaging characters and a focus on the descent into madness.

They're both from the early 90's and are based on visual novels. They have the same soft look when it comes to coloring and beautiful background art. They're also couple friendly as in they're both 18+ titles but more aligned with emotional reality than pure raw lust. Characters are likeable and share some of traits. If you're interested in checking out romantic series with a little bit of an edge I highly recommend these titles.

They're both emotionaly charged romance themed drama's with a lot of charm and beautiful animation. If you're looking for a hidden gem on the realm of tentacles and exploitation this is for you. Don't be fooled by the cover art it's quite something else.

They're both very heartworming titles that focus a lot more on Romance and characterization than the actual sex scenes. When it comes to the sex scenes, they're short and emotional, so fans of more hardcore titles this is not for you. Fans of romance and drama this is very recommended.

Virgin Night is very much like Suika when it comes to the issue of romance and feelings between first timers. Virgin night dives more into the emotional aspect of ones first time and doesn't involve any weird kinks or angles. It is very slice of life and highly reccomended if you're into romance softcore titles like: Suika, End of Summer and ONE: True Stories.
