THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BEST ANIMES EVER MADE, not to mention EXTREMELY UNDERRATED. It shocks me to see such a masterpiece be given a mere rating of a low 7, really proves you cant trust the mal rating nor some of the reviews. This is amazing, and I'll tell you why

Story:
I won't go into detail about the plot since you can just read the synopsis. But what it does so fucking well is that the story progresses very naturally and fluently considering the bizarre nature of the story itself. There is SOOOOO much character development in this the entire story basically evolves around ... its characters developing and becoming better, growing and becoming different to what they once were. It's so heartwarming as well as story dives into what it means to be loved, love and the basis of emotional attachment. It's also fucking hilarious and the humour is handled nicely as it knows when to get serious and when to lighten up, really powerful stuff to be honest. The humour is also really smart and not cliched at all, does not great job at making you laugh. Also it has excellent directing and pacing feels really good. When this anime gets serious you really feel the intensity and ssuspense. The melodrama of the love triangle is also handled really well and isn't cringy at all, you feel the real emotions of these characters and their motives. The added spin of Amanos time limit also makes it so much more intense and hectic till the end. In general, this anime does a great job making you laugh, smile, heartwarmed, cry, think and also contemplate all in the tiny span of 6 episodes, which also leads to a satisfactory ending, thus guarantees it the highest 10/10 possible.

Art:
Absolutely stunning animation and overall aesthetic. It's strange how an anime made in 1992 can look better and have more expression and emotion than most anime nowadays. The insane effort put into the hand drawn animation is apparent as you watch the 6 episodes and never does it deteriorate. Characters are fluid, everything flows really well and really lively and exciting. It's got incredible production quality. The color palette is also great. There is also those nostalgic 90s vibes and aesthetics which you just don't find anymore. The shot direction is also amazing as frame by frame everything feels really good and there's a sense of verticality and movement with the animation and characters. It's sometimes very artistic as well which is really nice. Everyone looks really good the girls look cute, the men look rigid and handsome, just overall an amazing experience aesthetically. 10/10

Sound:
Soundtrack is great and very groovy at times. Even at times suspenseful, it helps improve every scene and moment to new heights. Voice acting is also done incredibly well, clear, full of expression and emotion. Also has those 90s music beats you just dont find anymore, another key nostalgic factor. 10/10

Character:
OHH boy here is the REAL GOLD. Never have I seen anime characters with more personality, character, and invigorating expression. Amano Ai for example, is a character that basically was disadvantaged from the beginning as she was born out of a shitty broken vhs player. So her personality is sometimes rude, intimidating and careless. She goes against everything that video girls are supposed to be, like being great at cooking? whilst amano is fucking terrible . DESPITE all these flaws, she is aware of it and she is determined to improve herself for the main protagonist, she even teaches herself how to cook good food. This whole story is a metaphor for a simple person trying to overcome and persevere on with life despite all their initial flaws. It's actually fucking beautiful and really heartwarming. The characters are amazing, and really makes this anime cream of the crop. The characters all become well loved and you feel for them through the harsh and happy times as they act sensibly and aren't idiots. 100/10

CONCLUSION
This is a hidden gem among the sea of trashy rom coms out there. It's one of the best anime ever made and it sure is one of the best romances ever made. Somehow the hated love triangle concept is actually really fun and endearing in this, making it a key propeller of the enjoyment. The plot is great and the relationship bonds that strengthen over time are just really nice and heartwarming to see as they are so realistic as well and believable. IF anything needs more recognition it's this, if anything needs to be rebooted it's this. This is truly a classic and one of the best. The manga is outstanding aswell so be sure to check it out and pay respect to the og creator of the series. It's got a surprisingly deep and serious tone when it wants to get serious and the drawings are all so beautiful and detailed. It's got a type of hyper-realistic art style where characters have life like shading and surprisingly some nudity as well, as it's for mature people, which is better since it doesn't shy away. EASILY ONE OF THE BEST ROMANCES, and definitely a hidden gem that many don't even know exist, we need more anime like this seriously. There are also these animated short skits at the end of each video and they add a lighthearted touch on the story with really funny skits, a really nice cherry on top by the production crew. SPEAKING OF THE PRODUCTION CREW, HUUUUGE PROPS for their amazing effort in making this anime. Not only did they work hard but they also included personal interviews of the director and theme song singer in the end of the last episodes, both are wonderful people and director is so charming and humble, really shows you that production IG reapects these people who worked hard to make this so great. Go and watch it, it'll change the way you view romance animes forever, but remember to support the creators as well for their amazing product, like buying the manga and a few dvds so they are rewarded for their hard work.

Amazing stuff like this just doesn't come around much anymore, this is now my favorite ova of all time and second favorite romance of all time, right after Maison Ikkoku, just because that one is undefeatable. I will be buying the DVD and watching it over and over, what absolute wualitu entertainment

THIS IS THE BEST TEEN ROMANCE ANIME OF ALL TIME or at least ONE OF THE BEST

The mere 7.4 rating on mal confuses the fuck out of me since this is nothing short of a 10/10. As it perfectly achieves what it set out to do, I think most of these negative reviews are based of people who just don't like romance in general. If the creator makes something that achieves entertainment in its own way, then it's a success. This is a must watch, and I'll tell you why. One of the most underrated and misjudged animes out there for sure.

Hatsukoi limited's story ... is pretty simple and straightforward, it primarily follows the lives of a group of teen girls from a middle school and how their "first love" I guess plays out, but the story also expands to the interactions between their fellows boys and other people, as well as a connected story with more mature high school girls and boys and their love. Sounds a bit confusing, but trust me this is the most perfectly balanced romance story ever.

The story is absolutely amazing because although nothing too groundbreaking and special it makes you feel like you are experiencing something brand new and fresh each episode. For such a simple and casual story there are actually so many characters who each have their own personalities, quirks and fetishes lol. However what's most amazing is that the story is perfectly balanced on the drama/sadness and happy/fun scale. Some animes are just too fucking full of itself, you know those ones that thinks its being really smart and dramatic by smashing a shit ton of melodrama on to it eg. Hanabado, which is not bad but hilariously overdramatic and laughably over serious at times. This is not that at all, it's normal, and doesn't try flood you with drama and emotions, which makes the story and characters realistic and believable. The perfect romance for those who are sick and tired of overblown melodrama and unrealistic stories. That being said... Trust me this anime will make you have the feels when it wants to go hard, around about episode 6 shit really gets moody, not in a bad way, it's just emotionally intense. Fucking excellent absolutely love it, all this just means that the story is therefore a 10/10, I can't really give much of plot since any would be pretty much spoiling, all in all, theres humour, theres kinky panty shots, theres romance, theres drama, for only 12 episodes, the story opens and ends satisfyingly and ties the knot on the story, really difficult thing to do for some less able studios.

The art and animation, ohhh my fuck the art in this is so good. For such a casual story, JC staff went all out on the appearance of it all. First of all the animation is spot on and amazing, frame by frame hand drawn and overlayed with hard work, everything and everyone moves clearly and smoothly, think a toned down version of kill la kill, yes thats how good the animation is. Which is a weak spot for most casual romance series' eg.Wotakoi, where the animation is so fucking stiff and uninteresting. The light rays and blush effects are also beautiful to look at and add to the experience so much more. Damn JC really know how to make good looking animes and this was only 2009!!!!. The humour is also tied to the animations and expressions, there are some wacky as funny asf expressions in this which makes you laugh every time. The humor came out quite nicely as well as it's not like those overused blank face drawings and it gets pretty creative at time. BUT, the thing which makes this soooo amazing, is that the people, girls or boys whatever ACTUALLY LOOK GOOD AND CUTE. The faces are round and drawn nicely and everyone actually has a soul ffs, a weakness for many modern anime is that everyone just looks so fucken braindead and boring eg. Sailor moon crystal, which isn't bad story wise but visually yuck. All characters in this look really cute and sexy but not really moe or ecchi its just natural, and thats so good. Makes the romance work so much better as well. 100/10

Sound is pretty good too, fun and lighthearted at times when it's funny and dramatic and emotional when it's trying to push the romance to you. The music just works really well overrall and adds to the whole experience much more. Especially the voice acting, done really well by actors and you really feel their emotions. 10/10

The characters ultimately are the most amazing part of this anime. Absolutely amazing and everyone is so loveable in their own ways. Characters are complex and realistic and not one sided at all. Like eg. Youve got the bossy bitch that only likes boys for their looks, but then she sees that some boys can be attractive although they dont look that sexy anyway . There is HUUUUUGE character development in all characters. Considering the length of the anime, the characters were given decent coverage and there is depth to most of the main characters. The story is really character-driven in that we get to see the story from many different angles depending on whose love life it is focused on in each episode. The story is also done in a way that not all characters are introduced straight away, and that it focuses on the love of many characters whos stories interwine and connect together, as if all these people, although some don't actually know eachother are all in the same city and living similar lives, as if it's trying to say that all strangers have their own stories and secret lives that most people don't know, WOW ITS FUCKING AMAZING, also get that feeling that OH WOW there she is. Of course the main characters is still Ayumi but we get to see different points of view on love based on the different characters. This is what makes the story so colourful. Which is why i have to give both story and characters 10 as they go hand in hand. The characters have very real and different personalities which are explored in this story and help to make it interesting. I'd say that almost all the characters are main characters because they get an equal coverage and hence it adds to the realism as it's not some anime where the main character always wins in the end.

Overall, Fucking amazing rom com and one that you must watch to believe the hype. Perfect story, perfect likeable characters, perfect sound and voice acting and perfect artstyle and animation. There is not really an opening or ending for each episode which is all the better because it wastes no time. This is the perfect casual watch for romance animes and one of the most complex and envigorating yet lighthearted and kind experiences out there. go watch it right now trust me you'll not be disappointed.

PS. go support this properly and dont you dare watch it through illegal streaming services, it a creators product is good and you like it it means that they should get praise and rewards. Either buy this or watch it on crunchyroll, trust me it's worth it and the creators, both The og manga creator and jc staff really deserve it

THIS ANIME IS AMAZING!!!!!!!

Seriously I just finished watching it for the 3rd time and I've come to the conclusion that this anime is perhaps the most underrated anime of all time. Not only does the current 7.88 score on mal confuse the heck out of me, it also makes me disappointed that some people may see that score and be turned away by it, although it's not "low", it doesn't do this anime justice. This anime is among the best, among the big boys and definitely a classic that has stood the test of time, I watched this is 2018, it came out in 2007, ... and I somehow felt like I'm seeing something new and refreshing, absolute fantastic masterpiece that would guarantee you a great time, I'll tell you why.

It proves that you really can't judge a book by its cover, or review on MAL.

The story is pretty simple and easy to comprehend, although pretty crazy, I won't explain the whole thing but you should go into this anime with no expectations and no pre-thought about it. The story build up is amazing as well, for such a weird plot, it's surprisingly comprehensible and intriguing as anime takes its time to set up the story and characters so you care and actually like them.

The humour in this series is absolutely amazing, every episode is funny asf and jokes never get old. This anime also has some of the funniest and wackiest expressions you'll ever see, which is definitely a bonus. Especially once shit really goes down around episode 5-20

The romance is there I guess but that's not the full point of this anime, some people consider this a "harem" but it's not like that yuck shit at all. It's a full on comedy series that could use a little romance here and there but the romance is just a key factor towards the comedy as well. Don't be expecting some squeaky harem shit, these are all respectable characters that have their dignities straight .

All the characters are so lovable and there's not one that lacks behind another, they're all intricately designed and crafted so that they differentiate between each other and have their own charms and wacky senses, fucking amazing. P.s characters in this are not all introduced straight away

*The animation in this series, although nothing special at first, immediately starts to hit you, it's absolutely masterful, each frame is crafted to perfection and the directing is amazing as well, with camera angles being spot on and clear to the scene.
*The art style is also so unbelievably great as well, everytime when the basic animation and set design is about to get old they throw some good shit at you, like a jojo parody or even a comic book style car chase, it's really rare to see an anime this creative and smart these days, which is a shame as this shit is reeaaaally fun to watch.

The best I can compare this to is buellers day off, where it's a crazy comedy with crazy shit happening, but it's not TOO stupid and outrageous that people could think its for kids. This is for a mature audience that knows how to laugh and have a good time

All in all, perhaps the funniest and most entertaining rom com anime you'll ever watch, don't let the strange introduction throw you off. You know that feeling when you first start a new fresh anime series and you like all pumped up and shit? yeah this anime is like that for every episode you watch throughout the 26 episodes as well as a few ovas. Every episode is expertly crafted and made to maximize your entertainment. Go have a watch right now, trust me you will not regret it.

This is the best romance/comedy anime I have ever seen, I cant start to express on how grateful I am to the development team, the animators, the writers and the author of the light novel for creating this absolute gem of entertainment.

Unlike many, many other romance animes, this one get's it all right, every episode feels like a scene out of a anime movie, it's not half-assed, and it's clear that the creators put everything they had into this, and I'm so glad.
