The first season was a breath of fresh air in the mistery genre and the season 2 is a good sequel to it but not really great. It is enjoyable and the story progresses a bit but the pacing is pretty slow. In the season 2 there are very few new things that we learn about the shadow house and sometimes they just repeat the same things from the season 1. Its nice to see Kate development and how she develops new fighting strategies. It is still a good mistery anime to watch and maybe we will see more in the third season.

Good Points:
-A pretty strong medieval type anime
-One of the few animes about ancient China
-Full of battles and wars
-Interesting historical characters
-I love every time when Lu Bu appears, he is so dynamic and full of rage
-Decent animation

Bad points:
-The ending feels rushed
... - We dont see the conclusion of the war between Cao Cao and Yuan Shao
- Some scenes are CGI and its bad CGI
-It has a lot of gore and mature content so If you dont like this kind of stuff be aware

All in all this is a pretty good anime to watch If you are into historical animes or if you want an anime similar to Kingdom.

Good things:
-It can be a decent anime to watch If you are bored or you want a short anime to watch for fun
-It has a good premise with some interesting misteries
-Some decent action scenes
-The characters are ok, nothing memorable but ok

Bad things:
-A lot of things remain unexplained to the viewer at the end of the series
-We dont see who is in charge in the No.6 city. Who makes the decisions ? Who rules the city ? We only see a sort of political police and some scientists who make some experiments
-The animation is really poor in some frames
-Some misteries dont make sense and their ... explanation doesnt fit
-A bit of useless fanservice

This review is for Golden Kamuy as a whole. In short, it has a bit of everything.
The story is intriguing and misterious and makes you to follow the protagonists in their search for "El Dorado". Also the setting is interesting because most of the animes that take place in Japan are either in the distant past like the Sengoku era or Edo era or in modern day Japan so choosing the late XIX century is pretty cool.
It has a lot of action, adventure, nice fighting scenes, the animation is done right so nothing to complain.
The soundtrack is very good, the openings and endings fit ... the anime very well, especially the openings which are very energic and catchy.
The characters are very interesting and very diverse. Everyone has their own reasons for wanting the gold and there isnt really a villain in the tipical way, they are just normal men with their desires. The main character is a total badass, an ex soldier that you dont want to piss off but he is more than just that and after watching him and the other main cast in their journey you will see another part of him, carring and kind.
Overall is a very good anime and worth every second of it.
