What a journey its been, I have to say it has been an enjoyable one for the most part.
I honestly had mixed feelings about this season. For the first half there just wasn't any interesting development going on. We just have Hachiman doing stuff in roundabout and most complicated ways for no reason whatsoever. Whenever Haruno or Shizuka started rambling on about unhealthy relationships/ codependency I really wanted to turn it off lmao. But I still stayed for the wholesome moments. The later half got a bit better especially since it started becoming more SoL, rather than all the drama and unnecessary complications. The ending
...
was great, I thought it was a pretty satisfying conclusion to the story.
After seeing them being unsociable edge lords, to where they are now, and how far they've come, it was just.. a perfect way to end it. Was it predictable? Well of course, but nonetheless still quite beautiful.
Story 4/10
Pretty much the same overcomplicated and unnecessary stuff Hachiman has pulled even in the last seasons. Just wasn't as enjoyable this time around, probably cause it was getting old and development was almost non-existent since they were pretty much done with it. A lot of humour based stuff was getting very repetitive, it wasn't as funny as it used to be.
Art 8/10
still great as always not much to say here
Sound 10/10
I'm a sucker for piano haha, and you know they gonna use heaps of it. I really love the incorporation of the previous OPs/EDs in the piano versions throughout the show, something I cant get enough of.
Enjoyment 7/10
I thought it was a bit weaker than the past season but still great seeing all their progress and development come to fruition.
Overall 8/10
Ending was more than I could ask for. Nothing better than seeing a great series wrapped up nicely and ending on a positive note.

The premise of this story was certainly unique, for me anyway. And while it had a few ups and downs I definitely enjoyed reading this.

Enjoyment 8/10
Beelzebub honestly had really good character development, which is a big reason I found it as good as it is. The main & supporting casts were just really likable, funny, and unique. The story itself wasn't too gripping, and quite messy at times. I was never really engaged in the story nor taking it seriously, but I always enjoyed reading nonetheless because I liked the characters.
Don't expect anything amazing from the story though, as it pertains

to pretty much how a typical shounen would go. As much as they try to hype up the fights and villains, it's very hard to get excited since Oga is just too Over powered, and beats the crap out of everyone. Gone through years of hellish training? Doesn't matter, since Oga is the main character and has a 'Goal' which gives him determination to beat anyone, when he himself has only trained like a few days. There is just no stakes for the fights since you know Oga is going to come out on top every time.
The ending seemed rushed, and was very unsatisfying, compared to a lot of manga endings. But I did hear it was because the manga had declining popularity, so I can't really fault it there - just a heads up. But the journey was enjoyable all in all.
Overall 7/10
If you're looking for great characters, detailed fight scenes, demons, hell even some romance, definitely give this a go.

What did I just watch? I get that, slice of life, for the most part is very uneventful and the plot almost nonexistent. I get it. I've watched a fair share of SOL animes and they were all decent enough to entertain me, so what is this?
If you're worried about spoilers don't worry, there is literally nothing to spoil. I can't even think of anything to spoil.
Story 1/10
13 episodes of watching some girls eat, talk, and practice playing as a band.
You watch Yui get up for breakfast, go to school, go to club practice, eat, then go home to do homework. If you're thinking 'but
...
hey that's what a slice of life anime is all about'. I guess you would be right, but there is actually nothing going on, no comedy, no romance, no drama, there is even hardly any music. Okay maybe I was exaggerating, but the comedy usually consists of "woops I forgot my homework and it's due today, hahaha",while the drama would be like "wow I caught a cold that means I can't go to practice, sad face". I can see that the sole reason people are liking this is because it's cute.
Art 7/10
Pretty good, and fluid animations. Although if you look at the characters for longer than a few seconds you can tell they all have the same face, just different hair styles. It's only Mio that actually looks different.
Sound 7/10
Music is alright, when they actually start playing, which they don't for the majority of this show.
Character 6/10
I guess everyone was unique in their own way, but then again nothing exciting ever happens so we don't see much of anything from anyone.
Enjoyment 3/10
Watching this made me constantly rethink my life choices. It got to the point where I was getting pretty sad, thinking about "Do I really have nothing better to do, then watch anime girls living out their awfully normal and uneventful high school lives?"
Overall 3/10
This remains one of the most memorable anime I've ever watched. To this day I still think about how I watched 13 episodes of anime girls doing nothing and wonder why I ever made that decision.
I would only recommend this to hardcore Slice of Life fans.

Started off with so much potential, but was sadly wasted with poor execution.
Story 6/10
It was actually pretty damn good at the beginning, but it started dipping from a certain point. Half way through, it felt like there was a totally different atmosphere, and the emotions it managed to stir up wasn't there anymore. Things just got repetitive, and it got to the point where I wasn't even excited for the new episode to come out.
Art 8/10
Decent, although not a fan of those CGI monsters running around.
Sound 7/10
None of the OST is particularly memorable, but the OPs and EDs were always good though.
...
Characters 4/10
Overly rushed development for Naofumi's character and relationship with Raphtalia at the start, leaving the rest of the show devoid of any sort of deep development they could've had. Everyone else, other than Naofumi's crew + Queen, is just straight up annoying af. I know it's the anime's intention to make them like that, but its really exhausting just looking at them and hearing their voices.
Enjoyment 6/10
I'd recommend starting this and see how it goes, but I won't promise you'll enjoy it from start to finish. If I wasn't watching this when it was airing, there's a chance I would've dropped or take a long brake from it.

After watching drama animes like this, its easy to slap on a 10/10 because it did its job and got you on a Feels trip. But looking at the big picture it wasn't anything special.
Story 6/10
It was very simple and easy to follow. Nothing out of the ordinary, just the typical slice of life with music being the theme.
Pacing was a big problem. It started off decently and I was enjoying it, but suddenly Kousei started monologuing for what seemed like an eternity. It was straight up 2-3 episodes of him repeating the same things over and over again. It got to the point where
...
I stopped sympathizing with him and was just thinking 'ffs quit your whining'. This would keep occurring throughout the show even though it's been stuffed in your face enough.
The only time it ever did get really good was towards the end but that wasn't enough to redeem the whole show. The ending was decent, everything was wrapped up nicely especially the reveal of "Your lie in April", although some of Kaori's methods may be a bit questionable..
Art 8/10
Definitely different than the norm, but very well suited nonetheless. Also animations when they were playing piano/ violin were great.
Sound 10/10
Not a huge expert of classical music, but I could definitely see what they mean when emotions play a part in playing music. OST was excellent, always enhanced every scene.
Character 5/10
Nothing really special about anyone honestly, but I didn't dislike them. Quite forgettable if anything.
Enjoyment 6/10
Even if it was weak as a whole, the cathartic release at the end was still worthwhile. Anyone looking for a feels trip should definitely see it. But don't expect any sort of beautiful heart wrenching scenes/ dialogue throughout the show, only really happens at the end. Probably would've been better if this was cut down to 13 episodes.
