Just Beautiful. Akudama Drive is a work of art, one that cannot be appreciated by everyone, but those who do, knows its value.

The animation was top notch and you can see this right from the opening second, this was what hooked me on to it in the first place. I'd heard quite a lot about it and I didn't expect that I'd be surprised but I was, because it was just that good.

The action and the fight scenes were just on another level. I often found myself replaying a scene just to watch ... it another time. Crazy does not do it any justice. The visuals and the sound effects used made it even more appealing. If I had to define eye-candy, I'd say Akudama Drive fight scenes.

The character development was pretty full circle and no stone was left unturned. I truly felt that each one of the Akudama (Well maybe not Brawler who only brawled from the beginning to the end) aged like fine wine. You can clearly see how far they've come in life in a matter of a few days' time. (Both positively and negatively)

Coming to the plot, there were a few inconsistencies with the story line that didn't sit right with me, minor ones only but defects in the story nonetheless. The story wasn't perfect, but only a few are these days. Despite its shortcomings, it is great to watch and hooks you on till the very end.

Not going to pretend like the ending didn't break me but also couldn't have asked for a better one. I stopped watching but here I am, still thinking.

What makes a villain a villain? Who decides that?

Just finished watching Bungou Stray Dogs and I know I'm late to the party but I really wanted to write a review on this so here I go.

Bungou Stray Dogs is one of the most interesting anime I've seen recently for many reasons.

It's the first anime I've watched with a Gintama-esque humor. Well I'm not saying it beats Gintama or that it's even comparable. (Which no anime ever will if we're being honest, Gintama was just a one in a million masterpiece.) But it does give you a similar feel and that itself makes it worthwhile.

The story is pretty intriguing and it definitely hooks you ... on, and in no time you'll be craving for more.

I don't want to delve into much of the story but here's a bit about the characters: One MC, Atsushi is basically a less motivated version of Deku from MHA and the other, Dazai is basically a milder version of Gintoki with suicidal fantasies. Both really great characters that only enhance the story even more!

The animation was great! Definitely one of the better ones. I loved the fight scenes. They were beautifully done as well.

There are some brilliant soundtracks in the episodes that I really enjoyed and the OP wasn't half bad either.

If you've made it to the end of this very long review, I'd like to conclude by saying this: For some reason this anime's a hit or miss among people. You'll either love it or you won't, there's no in between. I have no idea why this is so but this is one of those anime you have to check out for yourself before forming an opinion.

Okay so I just finished watching Given and here's my take on it:

The anime is overall a good one. I like how being gay hasn't been reduced to something trivial. Gayness has been explored throughout this anime and it's really a refreshing take compared to other Yaoi themed anime.

That being said, I feel like no one really talks about the musicality of this anime as much as they should be. The sound tracks are beautiful. The OP is great. I love the fact that the music in this anime is real, What I mean by this is that all the music related aspects have been ... covered wonderfully. From the technical know hows to the actual skill, as a musician I really enjoyed it all.

The only negative feedback I have (And this is story related more than anything else) is that I would have liked more complete performances rather than just one. Then again, this is probably the musician in me speaking than anything else.

I'd like to conclude my review by saying this, if you're looking for an anime to watch during your free time when you do not want to be mentally occupied, Given is definitely one for you.
