Bad but not horrible, I think that's the best way to describe this show.
For a while now i have been itching to watch a good ol' mecha series in the charts, so when I'd read the synopsis of this one i thought: why not give it a shot?
The concept really is interesting, at least to me sounds that way. Not just music powered mechas but a world with references to rock and pop culture, characters based on musicians and the "equipments": amps that when connected to the performers or "players" turn into mechas they then pilot.
All this, I think, had potential for a rich
...
and interesting world-building, like technical differences in the robots, diverse and characterized fighting styles between the players and stuff to name a few. Instead we got clunky and generic CGI mecha action, really bad CGI monsters that looked like a fog biker mice (?) and characters that resembles iconic rock/pop figures only on a superficial level. The may look like them and even throw a line or two out of their songs (which by the way it's done in a really awkward way) but there's not much more to them, no character development or thought in the relation between them or the main characters.
Anyway, with a messy story, bad character writing and not too sharp animation it has details about it that makes me believe that there was love or passion put into it, like the detail of different endings for all the chapters with cinematic sequences from the chapter but rearranged to a more symbolic retelling of the episode.
So even if the final product has it's flaws i think it's good that some studios keep staking with original projects.

Tensei shittara slime datta ken (or that time i got reincarnated as a slime) is another Isekai, in the way that follows the same tropes as other titles of the genre. This also means falling in the typical clichés of these type of stories, but it does with a lightheartedness that ends up helping the pace of the series making it a bit more enjoyable.
These characteristic shows in the beggining of the show, with its informal and laid back start with Rimuru, our protagonist, getting reincarnated in this phantasy RPG styled world after dying in the present day Japan. After taking in the fact that
...
he died and is now in, what appears to be, a huge cave in a strange land with the body of a slime our main character set out to explore the place. While making his way through the dungeon the show explains some of the mechanics of the world as the protagonist figures them out, as well as the implications for the situation he's in, like skills and the likeky adavantages he can get through them. All this in a easy going atmosphere.
This marks the tone for the rest of the series, giving it a light pacing while the story progresses. As Rimuru gets stronger and get's allies, sorting out hurdles while gaining something in the process to overcome them this gives the viewer a feeling of fullfilment similar to watching your character develop in a MMO in the sense that every obstacle is there to reward you in some way for conquering it.
This element is there to add but also to take from the expirience, on one hand it adds to the enjoyment by watching the characters grow as the events unfold on the other it takes from the sense of struggle. Even when the protagonist runs into a sad situation doesn't really change the optimistic overall tone of the story, the same goes for danger as there's always a solution be that for the resourcefulness of the main or his over the top strength and his allie's, there is never a sense of dread.
Concluding, one could find it off putting that it is an isekai, a harem isekai at that and with overpowered characters in the main character's gang but besides that it is enjoyable overall. So if you like the genre or just are in the mood to sit down and watch an entertaining fantasy action packed animu and chill it's a good option.

First I want to clear up that I'm not really into shoujo, not specially like or dislike it, maybe it's just that still haven't come across a title that made me come down hard for the genre and so my familiarity and knowledge of it will be somewhat lacking in various aspects.
Having said that, this is my take on "Kamisama Hajimemashita".
Getting it recomended from a friend that happened to be really enthralled with the anime I started reading the manga feeling skeptical and "surprinsingly"..it didn't really (appealed) to me: the characters, the pacing, the panelling, the drawings, and so on. Again, not terrible, just didn't
...
seemed anything special but not wanting to drop it so early decided to keep on reading, at least until the the resolution of the first arc, at the time never suspected I'd end up finishing it.
CHARACTERS
So, right off the bat it seems evident that a major part of the appeal to the story was right there, Tomoe.
And I don't mean it in a aesthetic sense but in the fact that it's one of the characters that, in contrast with the rest, happens to appear less two-dimensional. You can see different sides to him, some of them maybe stereotypical yes, but it's somewhat relatable to some degree in a personal level.
For example at first he's introduced as the typical "ikemen", dominant guy, sometimes arrogant and a little possessive but as the story progresses gives you a peek of the childish nature behind those attitudes.
Sadly I don't feel that happens with the rest of the characters, even with the MC.
They go through arcs, show some personal growth but don't really show any significant faults in the first place aside some (too obvious) shortcoming.
STORY
Like i already said previously in the beginning it didn't seemed like much but then as the story unfolds I get the feeling that the pacing and narrative started to get better. There are some arcs you feel the urge to see how the matter ends up playing out, altough also there are some pretty dumb outcomes..so there's that too.
ENJOYMENT
I had to say that at times really end up being entertaining. The art was simple and while this didn't change it's hard not to notice the change in skill in the stroke(especially in the shapes and traditional or ceremonial clothes such)along the manga.
Tthe paneling and page layering didn't felt like much but there were some scenes that conveys really well the tone of the context.
