How can you not see the similarities between Nausicca and Symbiotic Planet? Both planets are surrounded by an atmosphere that is dangerous (Nausicca) or potentially dangerous (TO) to humans. The planets are both inhabited by strange creatures and societies that are at war with one another. In Nausicca its the Valley of the Wind against Torumekia and in TO its the American colonies against the European colonies. Where Miyazaki's world is set far into the future on Earth and TO is set on an alien planet is probably the only difference but I would suggest that the Future Earth depicted in Nausicca is the same as any alien planet.

I felt that the technology used in both anime's were very similar and they both had the same feeling. Anyway while I was watching the first episode of Vividred Operation I had a strong recollection of Eureka Seven.
