For those wondering, while this second season does retcon a lon of the first season to stay truer to the original manga, a lot of the events of season one, especially the s1 finale, are canon.
The story was decent but serves as a weaker point of the season, as it is more focused on the characters and their relationships with each other. By that merit, the characters were well-written and had incredible moments. The story was there but was different from the first season and much more characters-driven rather than being driven by events. Still, the lack of an event-based story wasn't necessarily a negative,

as the show very clearly wasn't focused on it.
The art style changed a bit from the previous season, but in my eyes was neither an improvement nor a downgrade, although the more vibrant colours and backgrounds did look better. The sound was another weak point, as the music fit mostly well but slightly too many effects were added in the occasional serious moments of the show. A lot of the time, the music felt like it was just slightly out-of-place and felt very generic. The voice acting, however, was quite good.
Overall, I really enjoyed watching this show, and it was great seeing the characters develop and form bonds and relationships.
