At first I always wondered where the wikipedia got the idea about Annie's past about her father since in the anime there's only a glimpse of it. But then I read this.
I like it really. Since in both the anime and maga, Annie barely showed up. You'll just see her in the side, in the corner, standing alongside the others, other than she's not really noticed. Excluding the Female Titan part and the part where they are already hunting her down. She's pretty much got the spotlight.
What i mean is, this manga somehow centers on her. To show her side of the story and finally
...
Annie's character, even for a little, not only gets the spotlight but also gets a bit of a character development/exposure to the audience. For me, Annie's never the bad guy, just some kid forced to carry the burden of some hometown and because she loves her father so much she's willing to make the whole humanity her enemy.
With such resolve, I want to see how it's formed, how she can live or put up with that. And I have this feeling that this manga will explain or show or answer that even just a little. Her character deserves to be justified.
I enjoyed the manga and finished it. Overall I'm waiting for the next one.

Akame Ga Kill. Wow. This is.. this is the kind of anime that knows how to give feels. I can't explain if it's a bad feels or the good one. I mean with all the deaths every time a new character pops out. They get introduced then after a while, bam! they're dead.
The story started well, I mean, it's got a storyline to follow. Getting rid of the corrupt bad guys, it's got a clear goal that it was getting at. Then Tatsumi, the main protagonist (or so I thought) was able to meet the Night Raid team and that's where things began. They do
...
missions and it made me thought that it's like other anime out there. Usually stuff like this would go like good guys do their thing, do missions by killing or hunting down one corrupt person (starts an arc) and they succeed at the end. But here, things are different. They don't only succeed or fail. There's deaths. Deaths. Character deaths.
Now to be honest, the first death I've seen, Tatsumi's friends, I thought it was normal. But after the first blood done to a Night Raid member after she was introduced. I mean, she's got a sad background and has quite a role within the team and suddenly she just- poof- dies. It was honestly unexpected. Second death, I was a bit shocked but after that, I realized that the anime is filled with it.
Characters and the storyline is what gets me hooked up in an anime. So if characters die- my favorite characters- die, what else is the reason left to watch? The storyline. I'm not sure if the anime ended by reaching it's goal or they just simply killed of Esdeath and her team.
As for the enjoyment? There are some scenes I enjoy and some episodes I like and probably because of those scenes and episodes, I was able to finish the whole anime. The new characters and old characters got me hooked too, even if one by one they just 'left' the show.
Other than these, the anime is alright. If you have to guts to watch your favorite character die.

As you may all know me, I usually give a 10-10 overall when rating an anime/manga. I'm not a critic but this is what I think of Gintama.
At first I didn't pay any attention to it when I've read it's about historical stuff and samurai and Edo period, until I suddenly saw an episode or two, an arc or two and just suddenly it got me hooked up. The thing is, not all episodes are great or funny like the others, so it just so happens that I watched those episodes which caused me to ignore it.
It's true that Gintoki Sakata is a great character,
...
not because he's the main protagonist, but his role isn't boring or 'uncool' or too overrated of the sort. He's just perfect as he is. No offense to Shinpachi, but sometimes I don't like it when he's around, but it can't be helped, he keeps an episode or arc balanced. He can play out a serious and a naughty character, either way, he's good as he is. Kagura is one of the cutest protagonists I've seen in this anime. Just look at her eat and 'go bananas' in the anime is already adorable. These three characters keeps the anime up. But if you add more characters that are as interesting, intriguing and adorable as them? Mix in the Shinsengumi, Yoshiwara women and the others, it's already enough to get attention.
It plays out like this to me. Characters 'advertise' the anime. The story is the product than we can try once we've been enticed by the character. And once we watched it, it means we 'used' the 'product' and we liked it which is why I keep coming back to 'buy' (watch) it. Or it could be the other way around. The story is the one that 'advertises' the anime and the characters are the 'freebies' or something. Either way, there is always one part of the anime that advertises itself. It could be the cool action fights/battles or the humor and fanservice.
For Gintama it's both the humor and action. Although it's more on humor and parodies. It's funny in it's own way.

I've rated this anime a 10-10 in all criteria because that's how much I like watching it. Although Railgun S ended faster than Railgun because almost the whole arc is about the Misaka saving the Misaka Network which consists of only a couple episodes in Index. I don't mind though, but it just left me in a cliffhanger to end it with a short arc about Febri. I liked that arc so much though!
Misaka's love for Gekota is really obvious and everyone just got used to it.
I also approve of Kongo Mitsuko's appearance there, even if she's just a supporting one, her character development is
...
good. I mean, despite being from a rich family she's not as rude and terrible as I thought she'd be. She taught Misaka something about friendship, something Kongo doesn't intend to share. I liked that part too. The part that Misaka no longer shoulders everything alone. (since this is not a discussion area, I'll stop there).
Oh and once again, I am giving two thumbs up for both the openings and endings there. It's catchy, gets me calm and at the same time feel active. I couldn't explain it but I hope you get the point.
I also love the MISAKAs! I guess you now know what inspired me to use this username. I just can't wait for season 3!

Love the anime, it's the first one I've watched over all the 'A Certain' series and it got me hooked up watching the whole esries thanks to this! Can't wait for Season 3 on both anime of Index and Railgun!
Also, of all anime I've watched, this one I liked both opening and ending songs. Usually I'd skip it but here, sometimes I do, sometimes I just listen to it. The characters are great, it's funny and full of humor, it's also action-packed and mixed with both science and magic. Mostly science though. Magic is Index's thing.
Great story too! The fighting scenes may not be as
...
long as other anime, like using about 1-4 episode of only one battle. Sometimes it bores me to watch all four episodes only about the fight and a few or couple cuts to show other characters in other locations to make sure the audience isn't bored with watching the continuous fight.
I enjoy this overall!
