“Grand Rosso, start engines!”
So, I just finished watching Galilei Donna and I honestly didn’t plan to make a review on this but as I went to add this series to my complete list I noticed the top reviews and it honestly surprised me why this series got so much hate. Since I don’t agree with most of the reviews about this anime I’ll be writing my own with my point of view about Galilei Donna.
Galilei Donna’s about three sisters, Hozuki, Kazuki and Hazuki, these sisters are descendants of Galileo. They end up ultimately getting in trouble and become essentially wanted criminals and are made travelling
...
around the world gathering Moon Sketches left by Galileo with the objective of discovering the Galileo’s Tesoro and avoid the people targeting the sisters from actually getting it first.
After watching all the episodes I can say that the plot execution is not perfect, however, it’s not horrid or even mediocre like most of the people around here seem to think, it has its flaws and a few plot holes here and there but it isn’t by all means unwatchable and I’ve watched really really worse things that didn’t get rated as low as I’ve seen around here.
Now that I got this out of the way, let’s get to the characters shall we?
The main characters, the three sisters aren’t by all means you stereotypical sisters, they’re all really different from each other and all of them want different things. Hozuki, being the youngest, is portrayed as a really pure and nice girl. She’s really good at physics and science, developing the Galileo (the big fish mecha) by herself and her objective was the attaining of the Moon sketches and the Galileo Tesoro. The middle one, Kazuki who is shown to be a really emotional girl that seems to deny as much as possible what’s happening, she also had knowledge on some sort of martial art that she used one or two times throughout the series. And finally we have the oldest sister, Hazuki who was studying law before the incident with the sisters; she’s your typical hot-headed girl who says everything that comes to her mind.
Despite its duration, the series is really good at actually making character development of the sisters, Hozuki, for once, starts as a really shy and timid girl but becomes a really solid thinker and strong character towards the end. Kazuki starts off really childish but starts making really mature decisions for the sisters and even cooking for them and eventually accepts the difficult condition that the sisters are in and finally Hazuki who also shows some development throughout the series, she starts as really hot headed girl who I honestly thought to be kind of annoying but she becomes this “shield” to the sisters, trying as hard as she can to protect them from any harm.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but these are the major changes I noticed over the course of this anime regarding to the sisters and I think that one of the objectives of the series was for the psychological growth of the sisters as their journey to find the moon sketches and the Galileo Tesoro occurs. These changes are also really gradual and hardly noticeable from episode to episode.
As far as the art goes, I can say that one of the things that I liked the most about this series was the art, it was honestly superb, the characters were really well drawn, the art was colorful and solid, the mechas also were really fluid with nice animation and the backgrounds were simply beautiful.
The sound was also not bad at all, both the OP and ED are catchy and the BGM is also blend really nicely with the scenes but since the sound if not really my specialty I might be a little biased here, but overall I think it was good.
In sum, Galilei Donna is BY NO MEANS a bad show and with the little time it had it managed to bring a decent story with characters that get new mindsets as the show progresses and that also brings a really nice ending with not much questions unanswered as far as I can tell.
If you’re looking for a quick show with decent plot, interesting and diverse characters, one badass of an antagonist and colorful and gorgeously designed mechas then recommended you to check this one out; it’s also relatively short so it won’t take you much time to actually complete it.
Thanks for reading.

Life is a series of choices. Even now, as you’re reading this, many choices are being made.
“Now you there, work up the courage and choose. The very important and necessary choice that will change all of our futures.”
Choose.
1: Read the rest of the review.
2: Do not read the rest of the review.
Well, if you kept reading I’m assuming you picked number 1 and decided to read my review about Ore no Nounai Sentakushi ga, Gakuen Love Comedy wo Zenryoku de Jama Shiteiru aka My Mental Choices Are Completely Interfering With My School Romantic Comedy aka Noucome, I’ll be referring to it as Noucome for both
...
yours and my sake.
The review will be spoiler-free so some things that I point out may seem a bit oblivious but I don’t really want to spoil anything for those who’d like to watch this.
This anime is about a boy named Kanade Amakusa who’s a high school student however he suffers from a curse called “Absolute Choice”. This curse does exactly what is sounds like, it forces our main character to choose from a series of options, these options will interfere with the way he and the things around him happen and interact, with many of the choices he’s faced with being completely self-degrading and humiliating. Amakusa eventually comes across a choice wether he wants his neighbor or a beautiful girl to fall from the sky. He chose the second option and that’s where he meets Chocolat, who eventually starts living with him.
As you can guess, this is essentially a comedy anime with a very simple yet effective plot.
The other main characters are with Kanade, the Rejected Five, it includes Yukihira Furano, a girl with a particular interesting sense of humor and who likes to abuse Kanade by calling him all sorts of things and Ouka Yuuouji, your typical happy-go-lucky and really cheerful girl. They’re pretty much the school “weirdos” and the people with which Kanade spends the most time.
All the characters have some kind of special trait that distinguishes them from the others, are carefully animated and above all really really funny. Whether it’s from an Absolute Choice, Furano’s sense of humor, Yuuouji’s lack of shame or even Chocolat’s lack of common sense you’re bound to crack a smile or, tons of laughs as the humor is really well executed and not really repetitive.
You eventually discover one or two little twists about these characters and get introduced to even more characters as Kanade is forced to do missions to get rid of his curse, these missions mainly include an interaction of some sort with the cast. If Kanade fails one these missions, he’ll be stuck with the “Absolute Choice” forever, it’s also in these missions and interactions that most of the character development comes from.
The art in Noucome is not extraordinary but it doesn’t put the anime behind either, it matches with the light-hearted and colorful style of the anime. I didn’t notice any kind of lazy animation or lack of detail in any scene. The background scenes also look pretty nice.
The sound is appropriate but not really that amazing, the OP and ED songs are generic and the BGMs are also pretty standard, not really anything that makes me go up or down. It simply is appropriate for the kind of Romantic/Comedy anime we’re talking about.
I can say that I really enjoyed Noucome, it didn’t really felt rushed and was overall a really pleasant experience that made me laugh way more than one time per episode. All the characters were unique and funny, the art was really good and the plot was the perfect setup for a Romcom like this.
If you like Romcoms then I definitely recommend you to watch Noucome, I promise you won’t regret it.
And now, as I bid a farewell to all of you;

If God suddenly decided to abandon the world, what'd happen to its people? If no one else can be born however, no one else can also die, what'd happen to Earth?
I'll try to keep the review as spoiler-free as possible but if I do post one, it was an accident and I apologise in advance.
Story [8/10]
The plot is actually, in my point of view, really complex. God abandoned earth, in this "new earth", people can no longer be born however, people cannot die as well.
However, before giving in to the world, God left behind "Gravekeepers", gravekeepers are the only ones capable of actually killing, or
...
to be more specific, "put ease to the souls" of the dead by burying them.
The story begins with a girl named "Ai Austin", she's 12 years old and she belongs to the last generation of borning humans since god abandoned earth 12 years ago. Ai's a gravekeeper and eventually embarks on a journey to search for herself and later, save the world.
Art [9/10]
The art matches with the theme of the anime and their quality is top notch. The characters are well drawn and I didn't feel any kind of "lazy animation" throughout the whole series, all the colors are adequate with the theme and style of the anime.
Sound [10/10]
I really really loved Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi's OST, the OP and ED were both really addicting and equally good and the OSTs blended really nicely with the scenes, it comes in the right moments and really helps establishing and improving the emotion of the watcher because let's be honest, mood-music is the best thing ever and adequate mood-music it's even better.
Characters [7/10]
I will confess that I felt kind of annoyed by Ai in the first couple episodes for a 12 episode anime her development was really well done and by the end I had already fallen in love with her and all the other characters that came across her way.
The development is really well done for a 12 episode anime and I was able to understand and feel emotionally connected to all characters, share their suffering, pain and problems.
Overall [9/10]
Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi was a great anime and probably one of the best this summer. The characters are unique and not really cliche'd, are nicely developed, allowing you to feel connected to all characters, the plot is entertaining and different and merging with different themes that usually aren't a part of only one anime. The art is of good quality and the soundtracks will give you plenty to look forward too even after you finished the anime (I'm looking at you, ED song).
If you're looking for a good story, with interesting characters a some plot twists, then Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi is the anime for you, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I and others did.
Thanks for reading my review and have a great time watching Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi.
