This is my first recommendation, so I apologize ahead for not going much into detail or for any failures in my English. Both are anime about sports, even though one is about football instead of basketball. In both of them you have a very peculiar and funny main character (Kuroko & Tatsumi), while exploring very well the difficulties of a rather mediocre team to stand up against all the other "sharks in their tank", trying to become the best in Japan. However, the thing that stood out the most for me and that really brings this two anime closer to each other is the spotlight that many of the supporting characters receive in them, despite their differences in roles and personalities. Each of the players get his space and highlights as both anime go on, delivering all the desired aspects of a team environment and giving the feeling of proximity with its viewers. Even though Giant Killing is not as captivating as Kuroko no Basket in regards to story depth, it compensates with awesome graphics and non-stop action.
