When I first saw The Seven Deadly Sins, I downloaded as a quick crappy shonen anime to watch while I multitasked on the side. I was pleasantly surprised.

Its no Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, but it doesn't have to be. It's fun and entertaining to the point that I was watching it full window, freaking shocked on how it was actually, GOOD.

Story:
The plot is maybe one of the weakest aspects of the show, but it still is strong enough to be entertaining. Though the lore of the land is never explained, I enjoy when they don't go out of their way to over explain, because it ... takes away from the flow of the story and seems forced when there are lengthy explanations of boring backstory. It was cliche and sort of silly, but it was enjoyable. Not all anime need a FMA level of backstory.

Art:
I found the art very pleasing to look at, and didn't see any big errors on my first run through. All the characters seemed to move in different ways and were very expressive. This anime does have a case of the "Everyone is pretty or hot expect bad guys or old people" but the designs were very varied so I didn't have any problem with it.

Sound:
I enjoyed the opening theme enough to sit through it and the ED was good enough. The soundtrack was pretty generic but I didn't really notice a lot of obvious repeats so I was fine with it.

Character:
Elizabeth is a pile of useless shit, but, while being sort of obnoxious, it is amusing to see her get groped by Meliodas with no repercussions (And I'm a anime boy loving girl.) Elizabeth is a classic useless anime girl, but she doesn't annoy me by being all tsundere so points to that.

Meliodas is a OP, edgy protagonist but he somehow is his own character. Kaji Yuki as is VA does a great job being sort of carefree but a tad bit edgy. There isn't much to his character, but he is amusing and not the worst MC to follow (Fucking Charlotte and all it's shittyness)

Ban, Diane and King are all good and serve their purpose. Ban's VA also voiced Makato in Free! which amuses me to no end.

Nothing magical, but there all pretty good characters (expect Hawk, fuck Hawk)

Enjoyment:

I enjoyed the blatant ecchi aspect of the show and the action was engaging, I would say I liked it and will be looking out for the next season.

Overall:

If you like classic anime action, some tits, and cute boys (Yeah, you got me, I was here for Meliodas' character design. He's a shota MC, you don't see that a lot.) Your going to like this anime.

It's harmless for the most part and kept me interested (Something a lot of anime seem to not be able to do. I'm looking at you Blue Exorcist/Charlotte/SAO)

Huh, this one is a weird one. I've been reluctant to watch this and its been sitting in my hard drive collecting dust for a while.

I thought I got it all figured out before I even watched it and, I was pretty wrong.

When I sat down and watched the first episode I was actually surprised, I was interested in how the story would go, despite thinking I had it all down. I was presently surprised when I got to around the 7th episode and I was clicking for the next episode, and the next episode and then I was at the end. I finished ... the show in one night and the end had me smiling.

I have learned to hate drama/romance genre in the anime industry, mostly because its all 'shocking' backstories and forced romances and the same old same old. The weird thing about this anime is that it WAS shocking backstories and forced romances and the same things I see all the time, but it was done WELL.

Though I figured out the villain of the series wayyyyyy to quickly. (They made it quite obvious, though I feel like maybe that was intentional on their part?) But, it wasn't disappointing when the MC found out, in a way it was sort of suspenseful, since I KNEW what was happening and in the back of my mind I was saying 'Satoru get the frick out of there!'

The time travel was done well and I didn't have any issues with it, maybe it's me LOVING all time travel related stories but I thought it didn't seem out of place or forced.

The characters were a tad bit bland, but I didn't mind so much, since it was the story which was most important. Kenya did act odd for a 10 year old but I can forgive that because he was such a cutie. Actually, regarding character designs, I thought everyone was adorable! Even a socially awkward 'weirdo' was drawn, not attractive, but pleasing to the eyes and even though you only saw him a couple times, I thought it was sweet. Fifth grade Sotoru and Himori were probably my favorite designs though, since they managed to make me grin at how cute they were (I'm a girl I'm sorry, well written+drawn anime kids are my weakness.) I truthfully forgot what the other two kid's names were though, which isn't too good on the show.

The abuse in this story was handled well and it wasn't anything more then it needed to be. Maybe it could have been removed, but I guess that's up to the viewers opinion.

So, was Erased perfect? Nope! The characters where flat in some places and I felt like some of the kid's dialogue was clunky at some places. BUT! What really matters in the end is how much you enjoyed it, and I, finished the series satisfied.
