I’ve never thought that the first Chinese anime I watch would be a two hours worth of CCP funded biography of Karl Marx. I’ve also never thought that I would ever reccomend any communist propaganda before but in the end, here I am.

If you're history guy (or paid the slightest attention in history classes) you would’ve probably known Karl Marx and his ideals already, but this seven-episode series covers the chapters of his life, which are unsurprisingly quite augmented (especially the narrator, who often praises excessively), we all know that Marx is ... a famous leftist philosopher but I'm certain that some events in his life didn't resolve the same way it did in the show. But afterall, this is obvious communist propaganda and they had to squeeze in lots of communist aspects into a couple minutes of Marx’s speech, in terms of that and dialogue writing, they just did a fair job.
(I swear Jenny’s lines are very much contradictory from what a mother would say when loosing her son , It seemed unnatural)

Storyline and political drama aside, the voice acting is well done, it's not the best but it conveys the message. Though the official dub is Chinese, you can easily find English or other languages dub on YouTube.

The animations isn't the best, but it's far better than the other people might have reviewed. The problem is that aside from the main characters, everyone else looks plain and copy pasted, sometimes even Marx himself speaks without moving his lips, explosions and gunshots are quite terrible but personally, the worse part is the ending’s Chinese propaganda part, Mao Zedong’s face is plain and low res and the Chinese flag on the forbidden palace is but a red gif banner (Though the real ones at the palace are also red banners, the ones in the anime kinda fly unnaturally). The good things though are that there are often 3D aspects in play and the graphics are quite stunning actually, overall I think they did a job well done.

While others would refused or hesitate to recommend this anime due to it being a communist propaganda, while I’m not claiming it isn't, in fact I'm claiming it is. I’d still recommend this to everyone, especially history lovers who wishes to hear about Karl Marx’s life from the perspective of the Chinese. Just keep yourself aware and fact-check often, believe in the facts and kindly ignore the propaganda part. To end this review, a quote from Marx himself (someone who you’ll easily get bored of upon finishing the series)

Story picks up in the fields at the end of the das finale 1 and managed to flow on smoothly can’t say more you’ll have to see it yourselves 8/10
Art has improved since the last version. The review is in 2021 and art has gotten better but nonetheless smooth snd high quality! 9/10
Sounds are nice with quality tank sounds and all sorts of noises Miho makes. Same theme from the original work with a new song from an old friend. 8/10
All characters( with minor ... exceptions) are familiar faces and one specific group of people has shown significant development so an extra point for that! 9/10
After watching das finale 1&2 back to back I had to say it feels like the same film and it’s absolutely amazing a must watch for fans of GuP, I must say the wait is long but when it’s done I will say that all will be worth awhile!!

The story left off since der film and picked up well with the schools now safe the new problem arises and I think it's a decent goal for a story can’t spoil much, very good 8/10
Art is very nice, all is smooth the review is in 2021 and art has developed since but the quality pleases me as it’s not much of a stutter. 8/10
Sound is top as usual, like the others parts tank sounds are high quality and same theme is still in used. A point for the sung onion song 9/10
Characters we're taken from the ... main series with an addition of new characters it may seems sudden and all but it fits in the universe well! 8/10
Overall? Enjoyed! As a fan of the series this is a good way to kick off a film streak. The name das finale signals the end but this may just be the best beginning to the end ever! (Hope and prayers that das finale is not the end!)

Story wise 8/10 the Ova looks like an episode from the main series that got lost and went on air late. It introduced us to a new school jumps to the fun and that’s about it!
Art is an 8 the date of review is 2021 and hence art has come a long way since. But by 2014 standard and by eye the series did well, Smooth tanks flipping scenes included!
Sound wise very okay same cast same VAs great job as usual.
Character wise it just introduced us to a whole new school and some character development was shown. We can see ... the personalities of each characters from just this 30 mins glams!
Did I enjoyed it? Yes! It like a stray episode from the main series that will help on understanding Anzio before going to der film or das finale. A must watch for a fan of the series!

A fan of the series might be lil biased but let’s get digging!
The episodes are quite short and can’t show much of the story (It didn’t either ways) episodes are like inserts for the main series so we kinda know everything, but there’s that one episode that bumped it up this high and I think it deserved an 8
Art is good like the original that’s all I can say and lots and lots of fan service. so much I had to lower the score a little but episode 4 is erm…. Let’s say it bumped this one up to a big 9!
Sounds are the same ... as the Og. same VAs, same theme good as usual but we did get an instrumental of the anglerfish dance so I’m happy.
Character dev is not much shown here since it’s like a mini piece of the series what can be shown has already been shown so not much to do here.
For the conclusion do watch it if you’re still deciding After all it’s just a couple of minutes you could jump to the movie next or go grind your soul off in WOT or loop ep 4 for the day! Your choice! This Ova is fun! My opinion is I enjoyed it!

Art is good for the time I am writing in 2021 and Art has improved since then. But in 2015 standard this is quite good!
Sounds are amazing, themes of each schools are presented and well made-well cooperated with the actions ongoing! Brilliant!
Character development is shown and the spotlight is not taken by any single team it made the movie truly looks like an GUP Universe movie and not just Ooarai‘s got talent. Can’t say more without ... spilling the juice, recommend!
With all summarized I really wished the movie could be a little bit longer.
I did clear my schedule for the night and I do want to say that it was really worth the time I spent. 2 hours of fun and thrilling combat(really! like half the movie is tank scenes!). I won’t say this is a masterpiece but I would put it up amongst the stars!

Newbie review's don't consider it too much
If you're looking to kill time but not in the mood to ruin your fingers with the Girls band party. This is your answer fun, Compact and full of laughs.
Story-wise most things done here are (PROBABLY and Hopefully) not cannon so not much character development could be said. It is tho full of jokes laughs and references that we often do not understand! But when we do it's funny as heck!
Art is in chibi that said other things are well-detailed, props to the animators
The sound is very good being that BanG dream is a music anime the ending was ... a banger and the VAs did a great job.
The cast was inherited from the main series and the story did a good job of linking the members with each other.
I watched it in my free time of boredom and it helped (Hell I even did a school project on this). Defo on my recommended lists check it out the only bad thing about this is that it's short and only lets us into heaven for a certain amount of time.

A newbie here! If you're looking for a serious review put less consideration into mine!
The story left off at the end of season one was picked up but with a little time-skip which is very understandable and in this season we get to see a character's lore which we didn't see for the last season. Unfortunately, it kinda ended with a cliffhanger and left us waiting for season 3
Art increased since the last season and many in the fandom would agree dance scenes got even smoother!
The sound is improved over time and the songs have landed a spot in my playlist, so far my favourite ... is 50 and 4 Things Left Behind.
We inherit the same cast from season 1 which didn't disappoint further character development with additions of special guest characters that further improve the current's cast story.
I watched the 2 seasons back to back and it felt connected and this season had many references to the last season which further improved continuity making it feel like a single season. safe to say I enjoyed this one
Overall recommend continuing if you're watching season 2 you're likely to be a person who watched season 1 and if you liked it this won't disappoint.

I'd like to give this one a solid 8 but do consider my experience in anime as being slim as paper.
Storywise Who knew zombie and Idol would go well together When I saw the title I imagined The walking dead anime adaptation but no it was something way better props to the writer of this series! Very funny and full of references and continuity!
Art is quite ok for the time it was made I wrote this review in 2021 where art got smoother. Dance scenes were good and smooth.
The sound was amazing due to this being an Idol/music anime, the quality please this simple man.
Character ... progress is neat everyone had background lore (Little said about some characters but nonetheless) and we got to see Sakura's progress from her old lives a little surprise change at the end of the season.
If asked whether I enjoyed it or not? The answer will be I did. I liked many Idol anime because of their music and it goes for Zombieland saga too but this one also sports an interesting story and cute anime girls. Those two were a plus.
I'd recommend the series to you If you have time go check it out really fun and it will leave you craving for season 2 and soon 3
