No seriously I would literally rather pull all the hair off my head one by one than watch this again. It starts off pretty messed up w the adults sending these very much underaged children to risk their life in dungeon that basically tries to kill them if they try to leave to collect relics for God knows what. Our main girl Riko who is in either an orphanage or a slave camp (cant tell the difference) then finds out that her mother possibly died in the dungeon but
...
bc she left her the most obscure note possible she just dives head first into the giant cursed hole in the ground knowing damn well that she will never return to her loved ones on the surface. Also shes doing that w a half robot boy with amnesia that she found like 2 weeks prior. One of the adults actually encourages this adventure and its like????? does no one care about the well being of these children? The answer is no. Cause the amount of times these CHILDREN almost die is crazy.
The anime is essentially their adventure trying to find this girls mother or whatever.
I am wholly convinced that the mc's perpetual positivity is a trauma response bc she been through hell and back and acts like she didn't almost die in the most horrific way possible like 5 times. Also the creator has some weird shit going on up there bc sometimes it feels like this anime crosses into some sort of messed up kink territory on once again children.
I'm sure some people enjoyed watching this but I wasn't one of them.
