Both Suisei and Mars Daybreak are sci-fi that deal with a planet covered in water and humanity living on ships-the only difference being in Mars Daybreak they have underwater cities. Both protagonists pilot mecha and in both mysteries of the past are uncovered under the ocean. Mars Daybreak and Suisei have a light-hearted comedic side and a darker one with more serious moments, though Suisei's is a bit darker. If you enjoyed the comedy and interaction of the characters, and even the battles in Mars Daybreak, you'll probably enjoy the same with Suise no Gargantia.

...then you might like Majutsushi Orphen add

Both Orphen and Slayers take place in a fantasy relm, but the similarities don't end there. Magic, Dragons, journeys, crazy side-kicks, wacky-ness & comedy along with a serious side flow through Slayers as much as it does Orphen. In Slayers the main character is an infamous Sorceress known for her most dangerous spell- (Dragon Slave).

If you liked Asa mo, Hiru mo, Yoru mo. add

...then you might like Tenjou no Kajitsu add

Both the lead girls have a large mistrust/hatred of guys though the reasons differ. In Asa mo, Hiru mo, Yoru mo the reason is more serious therefore though it is a similar storyline, it's not as light of a read.
