Originally I was going to give this series a 9/10, but after glancing at MAL's classification of a 10 being "Outstanding", that is what perfectly fits my opinion on this show. I have never seen such a beautiful and deep story as unique as 3-gatsu no Lion.
1: Story Score -> 10 (Outstanding)
The story of Rei Kiriyama's journey and past are presented with extreme care. And with Hina's arc in this season, it beautifully captivates the audience with an excellent flow of story progression and quality. No complaints here.
2: Art Score -> 10 (Outstanding)
Oh man, how can I describe the art? It's jaw-dropping. It flows perfectly
...
with the various feelings our characters go through (anxiety, fear, joy, etc.) and handles it extremely well.
3: Sound Score -> 10 (Outstanding)
The OP/ED's are catchy, the various piano OST's used in the emotional scenes fit perfectly, as well as the other ones used during comedic scenes. I loved every bit of music down to even the accurate nature sound effects!
4: Character Score -> 10 (Outstanding)
With such a huge cast of characters, each of them feel unique and entertaining in their own way. The way they are portrayed demonstrates a high level of execution behalf on the writers part. I feel the writers really understood how to handle accurate thoughts of individuals feelings (fear, anxiety) which is rare of this quality.
5: Enjoyment Score -> 10 (Outstanding)
Every time I took the time to sit down and watch an episode of 3-gatsu no Lion, a smile was put on my face. I thoroughly enjoyed this show and everything it had to offer.
-_-_-_-> Final Score: 10/10 (OUTSTANDING) <-_-_-_-
This is a series you MUST watch. I can guarantee you will enjoy it if you open yourself up and just give it a chance.
Extra Thoughts:
-> Is this the end of the show entirely? I hope not. Judging by the ending and how popular this show was, I can definitely see a third season on its way. I just wanna see both Hina and Rei going to school together ;-;
-> There are so many lovable characters but one I adore a lot is the three sisters and Someji. I love how they support each other no matter what!
-> I wish he had more Souya moments with Rei. We had those couple of episodes with them spending a bit of time together but I wish Souya had just a tad bit more screen time. Even if he's just a supporting character, he plays a big role as the current meijin!
Thanks for reading! :D \>.</

"Bite off more than you can chew."
I feel like this statement fits the spot on how Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku represents itself. The story of a computer programmer finding himself immersed in a new fantasy RPG, he decides to use his godly powers to help others and live a peaceful life (with his harem).
1: Story Score -> 5 (Mediocre)
Don't get me wrong. The story in Death March is decent, following the journey Satou takes to help protect the people of the village from despair. The problem lies in the unusual flow of story progression. Some bits fell out of place or unnecessary (filler-like)
...
given the circumstances that this is a 12 episode season.
2: Art Score -> 7 (Good)
I like to give credit where credit is due, and Death March does well with its good art elements that help boost its story. Especially in settings such as when the sun sets, those scenes really popped to me.
3: Sound Score -> 5 (Mediocre)
Not much impressing audio factors in this series. During the shortly lived battles Satou takes on, I didn't notice any ground breaking sound effects. The OP and ED are good, but nothing special.
4: Character Score -> 6 (Fair)
With a large cast of characters and a short length of 12 episodes, character development and screen-time will be limited, obviously. And this is where the statement "Biting more than you can chew." comes into play. With such a decently large amount of characters, it will be hard to include everybody and have some sort of impact on the story. I do respect that every character had a decent amount of screen-time (excluding Zena), but on the other hand perhaps this show should've waited for more source material or something to make this season longer (24 episodes would be ideal).
5: Enjoyment Score -> 4 (Decent)
I really wanted to truly enjoy the nature of this show, but with this stereotypical blend of harem character development and a seamlessly indestructible MC with no problems, it just feels TOO much like a fantasy if that's even possible. Throughout the entire show I never felt on edge even a little, since I knew Satou would have kicked butt all the way with no issues. It's receives an okay from me, but I can definitely respect those who really enjoyed it. It's just not my cup of tea.
-_-_-_-> Final Score: 5/10 (MEDIOCRE) <-_-_-_-
Listen, this show is NOT bad at all. As the score suggests, I just consider it to be mediocre in my book. Nothing special jumped out at me personally, but nonetheless, I would still recommend this show for anyone looking for a solid fantasy series.
I would've raised this score IF:
-> We got more of a compelling ending? I know we were left off on a hook a bit but at least show something memorable. Nothing popped to me in the last episode.
-> It had further character development. They should've further embraced its characters as I feel it is truly the backbone of the show.
-> It provided a longer season. 12 episodes was just not enough to cover all the potential between all the characters we had in this show. Specifically more Zena and Lulu moments.
Thanks for reading! Remember these are only my thoughts on this show and just because I didn't ADORE it doesn't mean you won't unless you give it a shot for yourself! :P \>.</

A tale of two middle schoolers, and innocent love. The chemistry between Nishikata and Takagi was so powerful, hence why I loved following this show.
It's not your generic love story with a cheesy storyline, rather it plays on the idea of love with both happiness and thrill.
1: Story Score -> 5 (Mediocre)
-> Something that this series lacked in my opinion. I felt there was no sense of story progression between each episode, because of how they chose to break it down. In short and sweet "Topics" they showcased a spectrum of different situations and feelings that both Nishikata and Takagi went through, as well
...
as the trio of friends. I liked how they took the approach of cutting it down to different showcasing but it doesn't support a easy to sense timeline or story structure.
2: Art Score -> 6 (Fair)
-> It takes a lot to impress me on the section of Art, as it implies a powerful influence on the entire story. For this show, I think its fair to give it a solid 6/10. It didn't quite wow me, but at the same time it wasn't terrible. Decent scenes in the typhoon period and others but that's pretty much it.
3: Sound Score -> 6 (Fair)
-> Pretty much the same description from the art score fits my sound score. Nothing wowed me, but again. Not terrible. From voice acting and situational audio, it was fine.
4: Character Score -> 8 (Very Good)
-> Being a short 12 episode series, it is pretty hard to maintain a strong cast of characters who pass a charm to its viewers, and thankfully this show does this extremely well. With these seamlessly short and passive scenes in the show, I felt as though the chemistry between both Nishikata and Takagi was amazing. The way they communicate with each other shows a realistic approach to the 'innocent love' or 'young love' aspect. Being an inexperienced lad, Nishikata is completely oblivious to Takagi's feelings, so much so that he often lowers his guard at the worst times for Takagi to tease him. Strong potential for these two in the future. Although we did see only did see a handful of scenes between the three friends Yukari, Mina and Sanae, I am comfortable with stating that they were also well portrayed for their ages.
5: Enjoyment Score -> 8 (Very Good)
-> With its fairly simple story, I was surprised. I was always looking forward to my Monday afternoon to watch this show, as each episode made me smile and laugh at how dumb Nishikata can be! :D
-_-_-_-> Final Score: 7/10 (GOOD) <-_-_-_-
I really enjoyed watching this show, but as I stated, it takes a lot to impress me given this short stack of just 12 episodes.
I would've raised this score IF:
-> We had a much more fullfilling ending. The missed potential of adapting chapter 31 especially. A great opportunity lost.
-> More story progression. Fill the air with some sort of organization instead of just following a broken "topic" based timeline.
-> Increased quality of the art and sound aspect. These two were both okay in my perspective, but with the ever so increasing competition of the Slice of Life genre you NEED to stand out. An easy way of doing this would be to focus on the art/visual style, since it is the one aspect that is literally at everyone's faces from start to end.
Thanks for reading! This is actually my first MAL written review so I hope you enjoyed it! :D \>.</
