I won't be returning back to discord since irl takes front seat now
but thanks a lot man :3
I didn't realise until now that Yanami also shares the same voice as Towa... I was like, WHAT...!?!?!?!?
I find manga to be much easier to get into and to drop off and return when I want
I do still watch anime from time to time but it's mostly manga now
Now that you mention it, I actually feel the same way. I guess it makes sense that we didn't feel much attached to it because unlike other places, Luofu (I had no idea it's spelt this way in English XD) has nothing to do with us as a Nameless/Trailblazer (Herta Station was literally our birthplace, we became a hero in Jarilo-VI and were even entrusted with a legendary sword, and Penacony was pretty much a Trailblaze legacy). But after all the events, I kind of feel connected to the characters in Luofu~
I only finished the first two endings (normal and Huohuo's). Skott's past was so hilarious XD
When production is massive, I suppose they pay for more creators to work on the project (a lot of outsourcing and stuff), hence why it becomes expensive. You can probably notice it in the ED credit. These anime will have loads of names from other studios.
Yeah even as an Ueshama fan, I was completely caught off-guard when I saw Hanabi-sama's trailer. I mean who wouldn't? Her previous Mihoyo role was Ganyu...
I don't think it's more expensive to do that. In fact, it's probably the opposite. People with unique styles probably get paid less because they don't guarantee your project's success. They only become expensive when they've proven their worth (like LAM-sensei or Mika Pikazo-sensei).
And I think it's quite funny that when a unique style becomes popular, they tend to milk it too much. Like what Shaft has been doing for the past 15 years for example...
She's known for her calm and soothing voice, but for some reason she's also incredible at yabai roles (Look at Mya-nee for example XD)
Yeah, I get what you mean. But I still think artistic choices are also shackled by the source materials to a certain extent (like Frieren for example. There's no way it'd work with other styles).
It also probably doesn't make sense in terms of profits especially when the producer is a big company. At the end of the day, it's about what sells and what doesn't... (Still, I think Japanese anime are way more diverse when it comes to art style than Disney/Pixar/Illumination/DreamWorks nowadays).
Despite all that, I think studios/producers under Sony have been quite innovative lately with some of their projects. For example, Nigewaka is pretty unique artistically imo. (And I don't understand how it's a Shounen manga when the anime is 17+ XD)
And man, apart from megane Anna, the episode totally surprised me with Asagumo >____> (Now I know exactly why they cast Ueshama)
I mean you can't really blame the anime when most of the time it's the source materials that don't try out much.
I feel like each season there are actually always a few anime with original ideas, especially with original anime, but most of them just flop...
