The best written manhwa Ive ever come across.

Do not let the somewhat unconventional plot fool you, its an excellent piece of literature. People feel like people with motivations, desires, and misunderstandings. Politics handles like how politics should be. There are no clear allies but there is also no clear enemies. Society and Morality, not a dull thing in this manhwa.

It will handle serious topics with the gravity it deserves but it also does not shy away from the joys of everyday life. The stakes are high because everything is on the line, made exceptionally clear by the little things.

This is not just your ... everyday manhwa. While the MC got a second chance, she is not omnipotent - and her past life quickly becomes useless in predicting the future. She is smart but vulnerable. A human who understands her position and values the duty placed upon her unwillingly - despite the great pressure.

10/10 especially in character writing.

If you can orgasm from a feel-good story, Nozomu Mochitsuki's Tearmoon Empire will make you do so.

I cannot understate how good the writing in this story is. From the worldbuilding of everyday characters to the main protagonist herself - its a story that you will remember forever. If you came thinking its just another feel-good wholesome novel, you would only be partially correct. Its a story of perseverance and kindness - and its not written just for the sake of it, but written in a way to make you realize how strong raw human diligence can go against even doomed timelines.

The strength of this series ... lies with its very real and influential danger. Death and suffering looms over the story and is an ever-present danger from the very start, but its because of this very real danger that the reader could actually empathize with every little joke and determination that the characters make. The comedy hits harder because you know that if something went wrong, the story wouldve been filled with tragedies instead - and conversely the tragedy hits harder because you know the effort that the characters put in defiance against the seemingly unescapable fate of danger.

Nozomu Mochitsuki has a way with stories that I never thought was possible. I cried and laughed so much in the time I binged this series. Its a comedy with a hint of tragedy and its not really a story that insists on tugging your heartstrings - when it does, it does so naturally and I think thats what is great with this story.

10/10 series. If you want feel-good wholesome experience or some kingdom building/political intrigue or read drama, this is the series for you. It doesnt even matter if you come in blind - I think its even better because you would think that its a story with a set piece action, but its not.

Please read, I cannot believe this is not more popular.

I could have rated this a 10 honestly but the ending was kind of abrupt but then I guess thats a symptom every slice of life has. Anyways the entire story is a very compelling read and it doesnt fail to make you feel that coping with developmental issues just cannot be solved by some flowery prose and it will constantly remind you that it is a process that you just kind of have to tiptoe around hoping to find the correct rhythm to both address and prevent issues caused by the aforementioned developmental issues.

I also guess this is the author's love letter to ... his audience that may have experienced similar things to tell them that they are not alone that have experienced the same pains and that one can be hopeful for a future like this.

Also the comedy can be hilarious at times - its not a lot but once its there, youll appreciate the break and realize that the FL is as human as anybody else. Lastly, it is just a very sweet series. Its full of hopes & dreams that gets slowly realized as time goes on and I guess thats because thats what the author intends us to interpret.

Anyways, 9/10. I just want more content honestly.

Anime starts kind of goofy and nonsense but it aint all that. Dont drop the anime, trust me on this.

Also I need to write more soooo, I recommend you watch with tissue somewhere close by and an open mind since it does get ridiculous at times. It will all make sense later on though so try to enjoy it like what Jojo is. At this point I dont know what to tell you without spoiling anything but MAL keeps forcing me to write more - so I guess Ill give a proper review here with no spoilers. Its got its ups and down and while ... its not exactly the best, the references and easter eggs are great, the tropes are actual story devices and not just what the plot is (unlike some really generic ass isekai - which this one is so far from despite its apparent trashiness beginnings), and the overall story is great.

Ive seen better but its better than most. Great anime hidden in generic's clothing.

This is the type of manga you read if you want to smile like a dumbass.

A very vanilla and sweet romcom that gets sweeter as time goes on. It starts fairly like as if its going to be a oneshot but it soons develop a really sweet story of people who didnt expect to fall in love but did - but now dont know how to tell each other since theyve been so used together. Makes me relive my days of falling in love with my best friend.

Smile like crazy and skip a day to enjoy this heartwarming manga.

(Also unlike other manga which has the ... main girl be perceived as bit problematic *ahem Nagatoro - this one is plain ol goodness fun, and both characters actually like one another (and dare I say already know it but too pussy still))

It lures you in with the heavily stereotypical romcom harem but after the first half is done - thats where its unique magic comes to life. Laugh and bawl your eyes out crying. Just watch and go along for the ride.

Comedy is ehhh hit or miss. The big twist, pretty unique but not too big. The ending though brings me life. Not the happiest ending but still a good outcome. Pretty decent animations too especially when protag goes on a tournament.

Protag is as generic as they come. He is dumb and oblivious as hell but charming in his own way. Odin-sama though is the star ... of the show, and she captures it.

Good anime for a short watch. 8/10.

This series is something hard to recommend but the reviews here on MAL is a bit misleading. While true youre gonna have to at some point reflect if youre okay watching this, one thing will always be abundantly clear from the get go of this series - it treats its tropes seriously. It is never done without artistic and thematic consideration and since this anime really is just touching the prologue, all things that was done in this anime will be explained in due time.

One thing I want to leave you all reading though is that given the chance - this is a masterpiece ... series.

Its overall plot in both LN and anime is to ask the viewers, is it okay for a really shitty person to be given a second chance? That is all there is to it - its a story of chances. This is not a story that is like Redo of Healer where it put insane shit for the sake of insanity, in this series, insane shit happens because it is necessary to hammer down a theme the author wants to convey.

10/10, read the source material if you have the time to because believe me - this is the tippest of the tip of the iceberg.

The negative reviews for this anime is blown way out of proportion but still this anime is more of a wholesome guilty pleasure than anything else. Say you finished a pretty heavy or traumatizing anime or is just tired from work or school and want to watch anime but dont have the time to finish one - then this is the perfect anime for you. A good episodic refresher of the soul.

Dont expect much for a plot though or anything else for that matter. If youre here expecting to see something that has an impact, its not this. If you want to just shut off ... your brain and drown in the sea of wholesome, then this is the perfect anime for you. Its basically all fanservice but instead of panty shots, you get feel-good moments throughout the show.

7/10, well-made anime suited for the purpose it had in mind.
