I enjoy this anime but at the same time I can acknowledge that it's not /amazing/.
I believe you can gauge how much you'll like it with only three episodes, and by that time I understood that the action was somewhat straightforward since the Main Character is OverPowered, and because of this the stakes don't seem particularly high until the last two episodes.
I love overpowered main characters because there's a sense of reassurance that nothing too bad will go wrong, so for me this anime is a very basic sort of entertainment where you know the hero will triumph, and it's just a matter of how
...
he'll do it while simultaneously teaching his party members how to improve in combat.
It's laidback and amusing, though not exactly hilarious. There are moments that make me cringe and parts that move too slow (that I play on 1.5 speed), but if you want to enjoy this anime then you need to have low expectations. It's not a big budget shounen with complex world building and character development and an enthralling plot, so if it bores you in three episodes, drop it and find something more entertaining.
I just think the kids are cute and the main character's confident fighting style is fun to watch. I like seeing them win and improve, but I know not to expect incredible fight sequences and intriguing backstories. It's super chill.
