They say that if men will look at the sky, they would like to undertake an adventure"
This phrase has been in my mind a good time to have finished a work like Kino's Journey, a unique and personal work that is a great exponent of episodic series as well as adaptation of LN.
So let's start talking about history which would be to see / know the different cities in which Kino decides to stay, this simple narrative perfectly serves to cover various types of topics such as technology, humanity, war, etc. without feeling too far away. Another point is the cities, in a short time
...
we know enough to understand the behavior of citizens and the place itself.
In this there is a turn, because it takes to the extreme an idea about human behavior that at first sight is an exaggeration without sense but that bears an incredible resemblance to the real and that gives us an implicit message with these cities and being a format episode series can be given the freedom to explore human behavior according to the society in which they live, therefore, we can see from people who are constantly reminded of the misfortunes that have happened to cities where a supposed end of the world is predicted. One of the best episodes of the series is the end, in which the personality of Kino is explored but also a critique is made towards the behavior of the adults and as they do not take into consideration their wishes, a small satire is also made the people of certain countries who are rude and what would happen if you told them that they will cease to exist. And just as there are many episodes that are just as good, like the episode of the countries of war, that of the monk, the city where all the people chose, each of these chapters is special and in turn submerges the viewer to interpret what the story has wanted to convey giving so many variations that makes it even more striking, so the series never tries to give you the absolute truth, simply puts the situation, it enters the context and throws you the thought of Kino but never you He says that this thought is the absolute truth. Let's add that the series has a calm pacing that helps us to better appreciate the story and we have a series of stories that are magnificent in their own way.
Much of these successes are due to the characters, for many the characters in the play may seem alien or irrational but follow a logical pattern according to what they have lived and the society in which they were raised, an example would be adults of chapter 4, are children who have been forced (and not by external issues such as a war) to grow to maintain a country and having no experience with external situations treat children as childish things and their reaction to a problem is ironically the Most childish of all, but their behavior is appropriate, they have been educated in that way and having no contact with the outside have been alienated to that point and this is also a success because nobody is bad and good.
No character we see as someone good or bad, all act according to what they have lived and this is probably what many annoy them but I think that putting the characters in this way reinforces the approach of the series.
Speaking of the stars, Kino and Hermes are a love, they are the ideal pair of friends because jokes are made, they reflect and they have learned many things together and both complement each other so well that it is a pleasure to see them interact because the calm but serious attitude coupled with the cynical humor and charisma of Hermes makes them an unmatched couple separately both are also good and full of details but as a whole they make the series shine.
Since we are still stuck in the script let's talk about dialogue, the fluidity of this is the greatest success of the work. They can talk nonsense but it is so natural that one ends up falling into the play of the play, an example of this would be every time a small plot twist is given in some city, in these situations a generic anime would play loud music and it would be a first flat to the expression of the character in turn (this would surely put a crazy face) but Kino's Journey puts it another way, it can be a silence or a pause with relaxing music and the characters will reveal the turn and grace to the performances and the address will be so natural that it will make it easy to assimilate. And this without a doubt, is something worthy of applauding.
Aesthetically the series enjoys having aged a lot but is maintained, there are frames in what really looks like something out of a cheap work but when it requires it most there is an incredible fluidity and the same applies to the storyboard which shines when Nakamura Ryuutaro It shows off its experimental style generating episodes such as the country of books or for example the episode of the 3 men of the train track, another great point are the backgrounds, which give the feeling of being in a fantasy world and that They compensate for the ugliness that sometimes Kino's can become.
The designs on the other hand are expressive and accompany the work very well without making it dissonant as well as being accompanied by large seiyuss.
As for the sound I have a serious indecision, I like the work as sound director of Tsuruoka because it shows that he put effort to make the work heard well and accompany in the most "strange" moments of the series but the soundtrack tends To be repeated too much despite the fact that it accompanies very well and sincerely, only one topic has remained engraved in my mind.
Concluding and summarizing the text, the trips of Kino is a unique experience and a project made with love from Nakamura Ryuutaro, is undoubtedly a must for fans of experimental anime.

English Versión:
Juuni taisen is the latest adaptation of a novel by the famous NisiOisin (Monogatari Series) and is the most disappointing thing I've seen from this author. Sincerely Juuni taisen is a battle royal like any other: stupid, without context, silly and extravagant action but with the difference that he discards the common narratives for a very little sight and that makes it bad and tedious. The episodes of Juuni Taisen follow with clear guidelines such as: > Presentation. > Introspection. > Death. During the 12 episodes we are presented to each participant in the same way and this worked the first episode because it grabs us on guard and keeps ... Dec 2, 2017

Let's remove the obvious things and then talk more about this peculiar film, Metropolis is a wonderful movie, the Tezuka design gives it an incredible personality and makes it stand out easily from many other futuristic films also the background art and the level of ... Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryoukuo is a different show that has seen the light in a time that normally would not accept this kind of works.
The series takes place in a post-apocalyptic world in which the journey of Chito and Yuuri is followed, which travel aimlessly through this new destroyed world. This is when the story takes a turn when we see that the girls are discovering aspects of ancient society and seeing the natural way in which they unfold with these elements is something worth seeing. Another important thing is the stellar, Yuuri and Chito reflect such an air of friendship and tenderness that they are easy ... |
