This show isn't something grand or out of this world but it is enjoyable.
It has great humor and the characters are fun and feel genuine. I like that at the end of every episode you see Hime grown up slowly learning about her father which makes it feel like the series has a purpose and a place that it's going.
The show is great if you're looking for something lighthearted and fun. Suppose you're into something like that this series executed this well. I don't know if this is a series I'll keep remembering or that left a big expression, but I enjoyed it
...
the whole way through.

Now I've already read the manga and I have to say that this show was a bit of a letdown for me.
The start is pretty good and has exciting stories, but it gets weird and all cluttered as the show proceeds. What's happening in the episodes is in a completely different order than in the manga and some of the core parts that made the manga so good have been taken away. Scenes like when Kino for instance kills a person for the first time, instead it's replaced by a weird episode with a bunch of sheep.
Towards the end, it just felt like there
...
was no purpose in the series, and the charm that the manga has just wasn't here at all. The characters aren't too different from the originals which is a good thing but the plot just isn't there and it just doesn't work for me.
It wasn't horrible, it just didn't entertain me towards the end and things just stopped making sense to me. Therefore it has gotten this score.

I loved this movie so much for different reasons.
Firstly the art and looks of the anime are great and I love the style even though it's simple.
The plot is really good in my opinion. It has a calm start and builts up later on and it has a great climax. But my absolute favorite part was the end because it wasn't just a sad ending. You would expect Tsuneo to give up his dream and stay or just leave Josee but I love that it's neither. I love seeing the struggles that they both go through trying to understand each other because their
...
circumstances and lives are very different. I really loved that after they got into a fight instead of a bunch of drama Tsuneo knew exactly how to make Josee feel better rather than trying to keep discussing it, so they settled it peacefully.
In general I just really love the character's chemistry. They really fit each other well in different ways and the way that they're both trying hard for each other. I also really appreciate that it isn't about them choosing between each other and their dream but that they actually support each other's dream.
I feel like this movie really shows that despite going through difficulties life still goes on and that you get through it. The story feels very real and I felt drawn into it the whole time. I found myself both smiling and laughing but also crying a lot watching it. It was just so touching and I genuinely enjoyed it. The only thing that is still a mystery to me is why Josee didn't get Tsuneo at the hospital. Otherwise, I loved everything else and it made me feel all warm and happy in the end.

For me, I know that I really love a show if it lingers in my mind even after I saw it and this definitely did.
I genuinely enjoyed this show. I've had a love for darker concepts for a long time and in my opinion, mixing that up with humor makes it entertaining rather than heavy. I don't think there's a single boring moment in the series.
I personally really love the three main characters and find them all likable in different ways. I especially love Hanako's personality. I find it refreshing to see Hanako since he is a good person and clearly cares for those who
...
mean something to him. But he also has his own struggles and darker sides. I love that he isn't just either the classic good or evil character but has variation. I also love his playfulness that makes everything a little more exciting and entertaining.
The plot itself I also find interesting and I'm always curious to see how things turn out. I'm very happy to see it isn't JUST Hanako that saves Yashiro every time since it seemed in the start like he would ALWAYS come to her rescue no matter what, so it is also nice seeing that Yashiro for instance also has to sometimes try on her own and grow more independent.
I truly love Yashiro and Hanako's chemistry and how they each help each other in different ways and balance each other out and that Hanako isn't just the perfect ideal guy. Minamoto Kou also has a great vibe and I'm a big fan of his character as well seeing how he grows and changes his views. His friendship with Hanako and Yashiro is also really nice.
I'm also a big fan of the art style and character design of the anime since it sticks out from others and the characters are easily recognized.
Overall I would say I genuinely enjoyed the show and I really fell in love with the characters. I just wish there had been more since it felt very sudden that it just ended when there were still a lot of things left unsolved, but I guess that's just typical anime. I'm definitely planning to read the manga as well, so I can see what happens.

Now I know that it has been some time since this came out, but I myself have just finished watching it and wanted to add my own opinion on it.
I absolutely love the concept of Death Parade and the idea of judging the dead. I've always found it incredibly interesting when authors put characters into hard or extreme conditions and play around with what that can do to people physiologically. I also really love that they use games that are played in the real world but then alter them to make more extreme conditions.
But I think my favorite part is that this show
...
is not just black and white. The arbiters are taught from start not to feel or question anything, so when they suddenly start doubting I think it is there where this really appears.
It is so interesting seeing these sorts of topics that this anime brings and it makes you think.
In the start I think it is hard to relate to the two main characters, however, I feel that it makes complete sense, since one has been taught not to feel and the other remembers nothing about themselves, which makes them less human. However, towards the end you see actual growth and the characters become more understandable, relatable but most of all more human.
I wasn't a big fan of Oculus. I think his character is hard to understand and he sort of just shows up at random places, but nonetheless, it is still a great anime and I highly recommend it.

When watching Horimiya I hadn't been watching this kind of classical high school romance for some time, but I genuinely enjoyed watching it most of the time. There are some things about Horimiya that I think I really great and some that were kind of dull, but let's start with the good things.
I loved how this anime didn't just focus on the main characters but actually used the time to show side characters and their thoughts and feelings. There is no doubt that visually the anime looks great and is well made. I love the character design, the voice acting is great. I really
...
also love the humor a lot and it is in general a very lighthearted and calm anime to watch, so I would overall say it was quite enjoyable.
However, there are some points that I dislike. First of all, you can say that this story isn't that original I think it is a lot like many other high school romance series I've watched. It had refreshing characters but when it came to the overall plot I didn't find it that special.
Secondly, I got to be honest and say that sometimes I don't like how Izumi Miyamura is kind of passive compared to Kyouko Hori in the relationship. Now I want to make it clear that I have nothing against more soft, gentle and quiet male leads. But the thing that annoyed me was that in the end, I felt like Miyamura just does a lot more things for Hori than she does for him. He literally does things that make him uncomfortable and forces himself to do a lot of the things that she wants him to such as being aggressive (despite it being very much against his nature) or watching horror movies. Now of course I think it's natural to do things for your partner even if it doesn't interest you, to some extent. But I honestly don't feel like Hori does this back so it feels very unbalanced especially in the middle of the series which I'm not a fan of and it kind of kept bothering me.
Overall I did enjoy the series which is why I still gave it a good score, but I just think these things sort of made it less good, which led me to this score.

Overall this anime definitely wasn't bad, however, I can't say it's one of my favorites.
It had a lot of great humor and entertaining characters but for a long time, I felt confused about Kuriyama. I simply just didn't get why she acted the way she did and thought it was a bit weird and it isn't until one of the later episodes that it actually starts making sense. You're sort of just getting thrown into things that I usually don't have a problem with but it was sort of just too random and confusing for me. It wasn't really until I had watched a
...
little more than half that I really got interested.
There're simply some behaviors of the characters that I either really didn't get in the start or that simply didn't even make sense to me in the end. However many of the characters are fairly likable and funny which makes it a bit more interesting to watch. Also, the plot was somewhat confusing for me at the start.
I actually really loved the opening and ending more than expected and I sometimes still listen to it. The anime also looks pretty good visually and so do the characters.
So if I had to sum it up I would say that it is pretty okay. It wasn't a waste of my time but I would most likely not rewatch it and I wouldn't call it a favorite. But it's pretty okay.

Now I have both watched the whole donghua, the live-action, and read about half of the manhua and I have to say that MDZS is one of my absolute favorite stories.
There are so many great things about this show so I will just try to go over it the best way I can while not making it too long.
First of all, I absolutely love that MDZS sort of makes you think about who is good and who is evil. It shows how looks and outer factors can make you misjudge and misunderstand others. I love that Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji are almost seen
...
as opposites in this. Wei Wuxian is the troublemaker who is mischievous and Lan Wangji is pure and always follows the rules. At least that is how they are mostly seen in the series. They are painted as opposites but in the end, they are the only ones who truly understand each other and I love it.
The series does such a great job at showing the characters and their stories that makes the viewers become immersed in them. The characters are complex and it is not just a case of good and evil or the classic black and white worldview.
The world is beautiful and detailed, and it also clearly sets its rules.
There are so many things that make the story good and make it easy to empathize with the characters or at least understand how they turned the way they did.
The only thing I am a little sad about is that the romance between Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji has lost some of its moments there were in the manhua. It has sort of become more of a bromance than them actually being in a relationship. Now I understand that Chinese television will not show a gay couple if they are actually openly and obviously gay, which is why their kiss scene for instance was excluded in the animation. But it still somewhat makes me a little sad.
But other than that I honestly think this series is amazing, and would really recommend it to any fans of the xianxia genre or someone who just likes to watch donghua and anime. Because it is really worth the time.

Now it's been some time since I've seen this anime but it's been a favorite of mine for a long time, so I want to make a review on it.
I know myself that Bungou Stray Dogs may not be for everyone and that's okay. As much as there's a lot of action in this series I don't think BSD is an anime you should watch just for the action.
There's a lot of humor in BSD and I feel that the humor in it is what makes it so enjoyable. Despite the fact that most of the characters have a pretty dark past and have
...
to deal with a lot of hard things, it doesn't feel heavy or boring at any moment. The humor makes it lighter and it's always enjoyable. This series is still able to have its serious moments when it needs to and is a big part of why I love it.
I also really love how in the start the anime sort of paints a picture of a good a bad faction but as the anime proceeds you will see that in truth both sides actually have a lot in common and there is not really a good or bad side.
It is a fun anime to watch the whole way through and it also has quite cool moments especially as it proceeds in the next couple of seasons and you get to hear the different characters' background stories. Which led me to give it this score.

Now I've read some of the other reviews that are on this series and I thought I would share my thoughts.
I'm going to make something clear: is Tian Guan Ci Fu perfect? No, it's not. But that doesn't mean that it is not enjoyable and I truly loved this series through the whole thing.
The series story unfolds immediately and they don't use a whole lot of time explaining the universe and where they are. I tend to like this kind of start because it allows you to follow the story and characters from the start without having to get a bunch of background information
...
from the start.
I, myself find the characters very likable. The two main characters have great chemistry with Xie Lian's gentle demeanor and Hua Cheng's more playful, yet calm character. However, it would be nice to be able to look a little more into the characters' past and see how they became like they did to get a better understanding of the characters to get more depth. But I think that for 11 episodes that can be hard to do without making the whole thing feel rushed, so I would rather have they did that in season two.
I know this may not be for everyone but I truly enjoyed seeing the characters go out traveling and doing missions and then come back home in the end. For some, that may feel like going back to the start but I don't feel that. In the story, Xie Lian is trying to make a temple for himself and get followers and I feel that what we see is going to be a part of how he as a god will get growing fame, so it doesn't feel useless or like a waste of time.
I also think that there's no discussion that it's beautifully made and the music is very good, so I won't get too much into that.
Despite wanting more depth from the characters and things sometimes getting a little complicated, and therefore confusing, I still thoroughly enjoyed watching the series. I loved that it switches from jokes and light humor into a more serious mood and that Xie Lian and Hua Chengs romance gets to shine (some may enjoy it, others may find it annoying). Also, I love this kind of adventure thing and seeing them solve these different mysteries, and can't wait for the second season. So I would overall definitely recommend it because I for one really enjoyed it and finished it quite fast compared to how long it usually takes me.
