Amagi Brilliant Park is a high energy, fun comedy anime with a large amount of characters that all have their own unique personalities. There has been a lot of hype built around this anime, many people saying that this is a must watch, one of the best anime of the fall 2014 season, possibly one of the best of 2014.
I for one, did not receive any of said hype, and didn't watch while the show was still airing. I eventually started watching Amagi Brilliant Park a few months later, and boy did I miss out on something amazing!
Summary: It begins by introducing our self absorbed
...
MC, Seiya Kanie, who has been forced to go on a "date" to an amusement park by our main heroine, Isuzu Seno. From this, he is brought into a world of magical creatures from another world that want him to help get 500,000 guests in 3 months. Can, or will he do it?
Now onto the review!:
Story: 7/10
The story was pretty straightforward, the park in trouble of being shut down, if the goal of 500,000 guests was not reached within 3 months. For the most part, it was pretty episodical, though there was still character and plot development each episode, making the show pretty enjoyable.
Art: 10/10
Wow, I have to give credit where it's deserved, the art was absolutely amazing, though the animation was average, the beautiful art made up for the animation.
Sound: 9/10
The sound was very consistent, the Opening and Ending songs were fantastic, especially the Opening song, it got me pumped up to watch each episode! LOOK AT THE SKY IT'S MAGIC HOUR!! Ahem... Outside of that, the OST was beautiful.
Character: 9/10
Now the characters, while some seemed a little generic, they put a twist on each character to make them unique to the show... and I loved each and every one of them. From the self obsessed MC, socially challenged heroine, to the perverted and hilarious mascots, I truly loved all of them, and the interactions between all the characters.
Enjoyment: 10/10
What can I say, I thoroughly enjoyed this anime, I found myself laughing at almost every joke and funny moment, and caring what happens to the characters at every point.
Overall: 9/10
Creators of Amagi Brilliant Park, Bravo! You made a great anime.

Absolute Duo, an anime based on a Light Novel series may look like a generic "battle harem school" anime with a decent looking guy, and they have some super powers.... Well, thats exactly what it was, sadly. Lets get onto the review:
Story: 5/10
Though the concept is always interesting and has some promise, there was literally no originality to this story, typical past event that scars the MC for life, and he wants to get revenge. Along the way he meets friends and slowly gathers his harem, meanwhile evil organizations are plotting eeeeviiiillll things. The pacing was also pretty bad, almost nothing of note happening
...
for multiple episodes at a time, only really getting down to the story ~7 or 8 episodes in, and even then i wasn't sure what was going on.
Art: 8/10
The art/animation was actually very good, probably the only thing that kept me going with the series, everything just looked so good to watch.
Sound: 7/10
Everything seemed solid when it came to the sound, voices all fit the characters, music went with the mood, though it seemed like I'd heard VERY similar music in other anime, might be the composer. I absolutely loved the opening song though, same singer that sang NGNL opening!
Characters: 6/10
The characters were what you would typically find in your "Battle harem school" anime, the male MC that wants revenge from a past tragedy, the cute girl that he wants to protect, the shy girl that wants to be strong, etc. I personally loved the bunny teacher, she brought something refreshing to the show.
Enjoyment: 4/10
I enjoyed all of the battle scenes, they were all on point, but when the episode came around every week, I found myself thinking "Oh.. Absolute Duo is on.. Eh... Maybe they will have a good fight this episode" It wasn't a very enjoyable series outside of the battles basically.
Overall: 6/10
Absolute Duo is your typical "battle harem school" anime, as I stated a few times already, it was pretty disappointing. I would not recommend this anime to anyone, unless you love this type of anime.

Donten ni Warau also known as Laughing Under the Clouds(which after finishing the anime, the title makes a lot of sense to me now!) looks like a series that is pretty generic at first, but it really isn't.
The show centers around the relationship between the three Komou brothers - Tenka, the oldest, Soramaru, the 'middle brother', and Chuutarou, the youngest, and the events that go on around them.
Now, onto the review!
Story: 10/10
The story was very interesting, mainly focusing on the brothers' relationship(will go into their relationship in the characters section), and the "Orochi's Vessel" that appears once in a few hundred years ?
...
(not sure of the time...). The story was very good, keeping me interested enough to keep watching. Keeping this short to avoid any spoilers.
Art/Animation: 7/10
The art was good, there were a few things that stood out, but the rest was good, decent animation. I personally loved the design on their eyes, I kept pausing just to look at their eyes sometimes.
Sound: 6/10
I don't know, there wasn't anything that I really enjoyed, though the Opening and Ending songs were all good.
Characters: 10/10
Now this is where I think the anime got everything right, with character development and personalities and more!
Tenka - The "Fatherly" brother of the family, he had to take on this role because their parents were murdered when they were younger. He does everything for his younger brothers, protecting them, raising them, going as far as he can to keep them from danger.
Soramaru - The "Middle" brother of the family, always striving to be as strong as Tenka, trying to live up to his older brother. I didn't really like his character much first, he was somewhat annoying and edgy, try way too hard to be relevant and not looking at the little things and just being content with his brothers. All my opinions changed when that big reveal happened (for no spoilers I won't say what it is) I, for lack of other words, "Saw the light" of how good of a character he was. We were meant to be annoyed by him and his actions, and that is why he was a beautifully made character.
Chuutarou - The Youngest brother he always wants the family to stay together, and after the certain event happened, he sort of withdraw into himself, losing his usual happy attitude. With influence from a minor character, he almost turns evil - wanting to take revenge on certain people.
Shirasu - To avoid spoilers, I will only say that THIS guy brought back my interest in the show when it started to get kinda boring.
Wow, that was long.
Enjoyment: 10/10
I thoroughly enjoyed this anime, the comedy had me laughing every time, and relationships between the characters were spot on. The plot twists kept the story very interesting.
Overall: 10/10
Even though the Art and Sound weren't very special in my mind, everything else in this anime made up for that. Characters/Story are the main parts that I judge on, and both were amazing.

Assuming that you have seen the anime, or read the Synopsis on Akuma no Riddle, lets go straight into the review:
WARNING: POSSIBLY SOME SPOILERS AHEAD IN STORY CATEGORY!
(Going to do Story last)
Art/Animation: 7/10
The art/animation was good, there wasn't anything that caught my eye that looked amazing, but there was nothing that was bad.
Sound: 9/10
The music in this anime was amazing, the music during the fights set the mood perfectly for every assassin. My favorite though was the opening song, that got me pumped up to watch the show every time. The endings were all good, with a few unique songs that stood
...
out. I liked how each episode there was an ending song for each assassin, and also for the target, Haru.
Characters: 7/10
Most (if not all) characters had their time to shine, most getting their own episode to show their reason for being an assassin. Though, I feel they didn't do enough for some characters, and I ended up not feeling anything towards them at the end of the episodes/anime. One thing I really hated was that Haru stayed pretty much the same throughout the show - very gullible and naive, constantly saying she wants everyone to graduate, pretty much forgetting that everyone around her is AN ASSASSIN that wants to KILL HER!
Enjoyment: 7/10
The fight scenes were enjoyable, some plot twists that kept me watching the show, along with the music, not much to say here.
Story: 4/10
The story... my god this was a mess. Not to mention that the series was very unoriginal, and felt extremely episodic, almost every assassin getting an episode for their attempt. I felt I knew exactly what was going to happen even before I started each episode (with the exception of a couple). Also, THAT ENDING, I HATE that some of the assassins somehow MAGICALLY LIVED through this... Especially the Romeo/Juliet girls... Ugh.
Overall: 5/10
If it wasn't for the story(which I think is the most important part of shows), this would have gotten probably a 7 or 8 out of 10. Would not recommend this to anyone unless this was their type of anime.
