A well written generic rom-com.
Although the story uses stereotypes, the dialogue is well thought out for the most part. There is no deep philosophical message or unique approach to the genre; it is simply a fulfilling story about the protagonist's character development from a loathsome pessimist to a genuinely good person. What I think makes this story so loved is the snarky conversations between Hachiman and Yukinon as well as their different approaches to resolving issues. The story also includes a good amount of drama created through vague dialogue concerning personal issues.
