Millennium Actress: Chiyoko is a seventy-year-old woman who had once been a great actress. The actress of the millennium. The old facility where the studio where she worked was being demolished, behold, documentary director Genya Tachibana decides to record a documentary about Chiyoko. After thirty years, the building in which Chiyoko worked, was being demolished; But also, there was something greater behind; It had been thirty years since Chiyoko had fled the studio in an incident that had taken place at the height of his career. After so much time away from the cameras, Chiyoko agrees to record a documentary about his career.
Behold, then, Genya
...
gives you something that you have kept with you all the time. The key. And this key is who describes who she was. The woman behind the movies, Chiyoko. Thus, Chiyoko begins to tell you the reason why, she followed the career of actress. What a lot more than a love for art, is the search for a great love. "Of course, we're talking about Satoshi Kon. Soon, the documentary filmmaker and his camera are transported into the story. Where, clearly, beyond mere spectators like us, they also play a large active role within history.
The film has a very beautiful and charming narrative. - Metalinguistic. A mixture of fiction with the real, besides, of small errors of the memory of the own Chiyoko. After all, she is already an old woman. There is a great contextualization in history; Various aspects and changes stories and policies. Like Chiyoko, we follow his entire career in the world of movies. The most interesting thing is to know that both his personal life and his life in the movies are intertwined. She lives in the movie, she lives in reality. - Your true love.
But who is this love?
The man in question is a painter. Still young Chiyoko received a recording proposal, however, his mother did not like it, much less accepted the idea. I told you that your daughter should marry and keep the family business, because this profession was not honorable. Chiyoko becomes enraged, leaves to empty the mind, when unintentionally, an unknown man bumps into her causing her to fall to the ground. The man was a painter; Fugitive from the police. And he was wounded. Chiyoko helped him to hide, lying to the policemen about the direction in which he had fled. When they met, she helped him with his wounds. He asked what his painting was about, but he said he could not show it. It was not ready yet. The other day, when Chiyoko came back, he was preparing to flee... He handed you a key. The key. They promise each other that when they meet again, she will give him the key and he will show her the painting. And then he runs away. Then she received the news that he had been caught, but had fled to Manchuria. Where would happen the film, in question, that she had been summoned to do. Without thinking twice, she accepts and departs, the search for man. And throughout her journey, in each and every place, she is always running after him, for she must give you the key, which belongs to a very important place - but she does not even know what. But nevertheless, take good care of the key, so that you can fulfill your promise. Meanwhile, several eras of the history of Japan are presented to us as Chiyoko's life goes by.
Looking for your love of youth. In the end, Chiyoko says he no longer remembers his beloved's face. But even so, he will continue to chase after him. Because that was what motivated her. She says he is not dead; Refuses, namely. But the truth is that he had been killed a long time ago, when kidnapped by a policeman, who tortured him, killing him. Chiyoko does not know, or knows, does not believe. She prefers to believe that he is traveling the world, so she can traverse behind him. So the man who, we do not know who he is - or of place belonged to the key, was already dead long ago. But still, he kept his promise. He left you the complete painting. Chiyoko loved him, until the last moment of his life.
It's a beautiful story, on different levels. I love the way Satoshi Kon transforms something simple into something splendid. There is something so unique about your work. I believe that it is the way he directs every little detail, detail that he is. He is always working with mastery, giving value and meaning, not just the story, but the characters. All of them are very vivid, it is possible to connect easily; To be moved, to be sad. You can feel what the characters feel. And this is incredible.

"In the not too distant future, people coexist in harmony with humanoid robberies. The young Kurumi became isolated after losing her boyfriend in a plane crash and his grandfather resorted to using a robot to help her. And then, Q-01 takes the form of Hal and begins interacting with the girl so that she returns to normal... This is the story of two lovers who cared for each other"
~ Contains spoiler ~
"He's aware that he's a robot"
The story takes place in Tokyo, in a future in which for humans, it is totally narutal the conviviality with humanoid robots. These robots may have several trades, however,
...
in the work only it is shown that, it serves as consolation for Kurumi, who is a young, in the pre-adult stage, who lost her boyfriend in a plane crash. In the unfolding of the plot, it is noticed that, Kurumi was in depression, did not leave more of house, did not eat, nor talked with anyone else. And because of this behavior, his grandfather makes contact with a doctor, who would bring Hal, his ex-boyfriend, who died back to life. But this time, it would be in robot form. At the outset, we are presented with the robot's view of the accident, implying us to understand what could have caused Hal's death.
And for him to understand, he does everything for Kurumi to open with him, through a magic cube. (Idea, rather cool). Every time Hal, or anyone else mounts the cube, a wish of Kurumi appears. He gradually realizes, and the same, opens with him. Until then, they go out on a festival, where everything is revealed. There, Hal talks naturally with Kurumi about their lives, about why Hal had sold his things without her wanting to. And it is discovered that Hal had heart problems and because of this, his parents had to give him a new heart, but they could not remove that debt, finally, the option that seemed more viable, was to abandon him. The question is: What usually happens when parents abandon their children, leaving them without having something to eat and drink? Of course, they work for bad guys. What's not different, Hal works with thieves stealing things to sell.
"You don't know what it's like, you don't have money in your pocket"
That explains why he sold Kurumi's things without his permission. They decided that they would live together, but none of them worked hard. Soon, to make money, Hal sold the things from the Kurumi shop. Normally, there would be no problem in that, since they are objects of the shop of the same, however, Kurumi wanted people to come to his store by free will, and this caused the relationship between them to enter into a conflict. They argued, and Kurumi decided she would leave, leaving Hal behind, but Hal follows her to the airport, where he tries to persuade her, but Kurumi is determined to leave Hal behind. And then, the plane explodes as soon as the flight starts. That's when the story begins.
It was not Hal who died, but Kurumi. There was an airplane crash, and it was she who was on the plane. Hal was alive, but depressed. The blades were reversed. Hal had gone to seek help from a doctor to make a robot identical to Kurumi, but his psychological state was so shaken that he believed it was the robot.
Story: (7/10) It's a cliché story, though, with a great premise. I believe that the part of science fiction could have been worked out better. Even if not in the movie, at least in the manga. But the dispassion of both is almost imperceptible. He left many questions to be desired, one being the disparity between humans and robots. Although it is said that robots can learn the human form, both in the way of being, how to act and think, this is not said how. It was just thrown in there, to say it is, but not like.
Art: (9/10) Impeccable. It was Io Sakisaka's expected. Both the characters and the landscapes are very well done. It's just beautiful. There is nothing to contextualize.
Character: Story (7/10) The main ones, of course. Kurumi and Hal. A couple, who met when Kurumi was sitting on a bench. She said she had seen him several times passing by while she read. Sometimes worried, sometimes smiling, but mostly, with a sad look. We know that in the synopsis, the indication is that Kurumi is in the worst, but in this novel, Hal is the character who suffers the most. He is also the highlight, the character that is most developed within the story. We found out that he had a family that left him after having surgery, which was necessary for him, who had cardiac problems. Shortly thereafter, he joined a group of children who served for bandits, and suffered at their hands, often being treated poorly. And when he meets Kurumi, he decides to live with her, but they both do not have a salary income, which makes Hal worried and nervous. And there is more, the death of Kurumi, which is something that shakes him mentally and physically. This makes you depressed. Basically, his time stopped shortly after his girlfriend's death.
And good, the Kurumi is a character who was shown as "cheerful" and "gentle" secondary characters would refer to her so, so that it made her look like a sea of flowers, when in fact, she also had trouble with her parents , So she lived alone. Hal was its point of stability and vice versa. They believed they could live in love... But when they fought, everything collapsed. It's sad.
Enjoyment: (8/10) I particularly enjoyed myself while watching. It was fun to see Hal trying to fulfill Kurumi's wishes, such as when he tries to buy the giraffe. It's hilarious. It's not a "funny" humor, although simple, it's more subtle. Hal is like a mix of feelings... Inexplicable. I was very moved.
"Always think what you say, what you do, live, but think about tomorrow."
I think this is the lesson that the work wanted to pass. It's a great lesson and you have conviction with reality.
Overall: (8/10) It's worth watching. It's a short, tasty movie to pass the time. I believe it could have been better, but also, I don't believe that he has totally sinned. Watch uncompromising, without expecting big explanations and why. There's a surprising plot at the end.

A beautiful story of overcoming!
~ Contains spoiler ~
Yuri has a dream, this, is to become a great professional skater. This profession requires a lot of feeling, because it is something artistic. Yuri has a great love of skating, so much so, that he inscribes himself in a competition, but loses and stays in last place. This discourages you, of course. We always seek to do what we think is best for each of us, but when we even fail to do so, we feel completely desolate. I think this is the best definition. Soon, Yuri, desolate, loses the hopes of realizing his dream. He thinks
...
that this was the culmination of his career, which he hardly knew, was about to begin. The moral of this story is always persisting in their dreams, however difficult they may be, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. This light can be someone, or several people, who are always by your side, giving you full support.
After his failure, he goes to a rink, where he usually trains and there, finds his friend, to whom he shows a presentation of himself, a choreography of his favorite skater, Viktor Nikiforov. While he skates, he lavishes subtlety. His movements are all very sweet and subtle. While he skates, it is possible to feel all that he is also feeling; His sadness for having failed and also, the love for the choreography of his favorite artist, copying all the movements, he finalizes with grace the choreography.
By chance, there were three children, who were also known to Yuri, who recorded their presentation and posted on the Internet, soon viralizing the video. And yes, this is real and can happen. The biggest and best way for an unrecognized artist to be known, is through the Internet. And what he did not expect, was that his video came to Victor Nikiforov. (Wow, this is a dream and what a dream). Yuri, remains incredulous about this, but happy. Especially when Viktor tells him that he has the pretense of being his coach. His hope that was over, at last, has returned! However, Viktor has unfinished business with another young man, this, Yuri Plisetsky. The smaller, more talented skater.
He hoped that Victor would also do a show for him. And thinking of both, Viktor creates a choreography for both of them. There is a misunderstanding among the Yuri's, out of sheer jealous jealousy. But both, have the same interest, become a great skater!
• About the soundtrack: If there's something I love about Yuri !!! On Ice, it's the soundtrack. If I could define in a single word, it would be "magnificent". The songs, for the most part, are very engaging. It is to shiver anyone! And it has the opening, that could not be better! The letter talks about dreams, and we can realize them. Clearly the anime! Pure love! The video is also very subtle, the characters skating together, with bright colors and expressive.
Each character (there are many), has a unique presentation, with a song I theme different. The songs make beauty in each personality, exploring their personality, which are also very unique. And at first, when Victor decides to train both Yuri's, he makes each one choose one of the songs, and of course, purposely alternates in a way that makes the characters show a side that nobody knows. And in the end, incredible as it may sound, the songs identify the character very well. Yuri skims over "eros" a love, a charm, a romance. It's beautiful to watch!
And Plisetsky, about the sound of agape. Each song has a different story. It is lovely to watch the characters training, in order to learn to enter the character, like the art of theater. And that, has a great representation, because there are characters who skim to the sound of songs that participate in stories and famous fables. And your intention is simple, grace, purity, splendor, pain, love! All for art.
• Art of anime: Overall, I found the art very simple. I must say, I waited a little longer, since it was an anime about such a simple subject. The skating scenes were magnificent, but somewhat bumpy. Sometimes the characters got huge body limbs, it was kind of weird. But this, only in scenes of longitude, because when I focused on the characters, the art was beautiful! The character traits are completely wonderful and the landscapes are also very well crafted. Overall, I enjoyed it, even with that little problem, which to me, does not matter much. Since it did not affect anything, in the anime. Something I just love is when the characters blush! Oh my God, this is the most beautiful reaction they have! The tip of their noses turn reddish, since they stay in the cold. Duh, but when they blush, the tip of the nose comes in contrast to the cheeks, it's so beautiful and enthralling! <3 in addition to reflect the innocence of the characters, I love so beautiful.
Finishing here, the anime is beautiful and fun. It has a very good and pleasant comic content, has amiable characters and with completely different personality from each other. (Which makes it better when you watch), because each character has a dream, but executes it in a different way ... So when they skate against each other, we can feel the Win the final prize. This part of combat between the characters is very good, because we see characters always wanting to amaze the public, changing the choreography, or doing something eccentric! Something that kept me way above expectations always, and when they fell, I was so sad for them! But most of the time, they reimpose themselves in a "wooow" way doing three times better! The anime also has a great diversity of characters, because there are characters from several different countries, with several different ideologies. This is cool too! Apart from the costumes they usually wear, simply sensational.
Something I want to make clear is that, I was moved during the entire anime. And that's not a lie ... It's so beautiful, especially when Yuri wants them to believe he can do it! The least we ask, put your faith in us ... And he just shines when he's on the rink. So much so that Viktor gets emotional ... When they both run to hug each other ... Man, I cried a lot! The most beautiful anime scene, in my opinion. I was so happy, I did not know what words to express myself at this moment. I just know that I love the relationship they have with each other! Pure love.
Phrase to you, if you have a dream!
"Love yourself a lot, really, learn to be more humble, and when you think of giving up what you want most, know that when we want something, the universe conspires in favor, as long as you truly believe."
Anime 9/10
Stay with Viktor's voice in mind, speaking "Aa-ma-zing" <3

From the beginning: The name of the circus. (I may be plotting, but I thought it might be a reference).
"Noah's ark was able to carry much load and served to save Noah's family." The circus is a way to keep all the main characters together. It is like a boat, that there is capacity for much cargo. There is a place for everyone who wants to enter, as in this case, Sebastian and Ciel, who enter the circus through information.
This bow is one of the best in my opinion. (Actually, I love the circus theme in movies and animations, from the general). Something remarkable is
...
that whenever an anime / movie tackles this theme, or the story is sad, or it's scary. In children's tales, there may be a happy ending. Perhaps.
Taking advantage of what I mentioned about children's tales, there is a popular tale called "The Pied Piper of Hamelin" which tells the story of a man who hypnotized rats with his flute. And after not paying this man, to end the infestation of rats, he left the city, returned and began to attract children with the sound of his flute. This tale also appears in Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon R: The Movie. Where the flautist hypnotize the children. Likewise, it happens in Book of Circus. The circus hypnotized the children by taking them. And in their dreams, they seemed to be in a beautiful and wonderful place.
Soon, the anime has a great story, despite a sad ending.
The circus contains very cool and captivating characters (if that's how I can describe it), the whole character is cool and has an interesting ability (common circus). But of course, the character who has more prominence, the Joker! I particularly love this character.
The design in the characters is also great. The costumes are pretty cool. (Expected from Kuroshitsuji, usually the characters have a cool design and are very cute). The expected of Yana Toboso, I say.
The soundtrack is divine. Besides the OST, the opening and ending are very special. Something that Kuroshitsuji also works very well, which is the audiovisual part. There are always bands or singers of influence, which makes it even better. The cool thing is that the opening and the mv coincide with each other, because mv is as macabre as the circus.
And now about the end ... A sad ending, unfortunately. I clung to the characters in the circus, even though some of them, no matter how cool, were just that. It's very sad when you discover their story. In the end, they only wanted to pay for what they had done, for they were grateful to give them life again, even if it was not their liking to do what they did. (The abduction of children, I say). I hoped the characters would live to the end. And after Book of Circus, my love for Ciel was never the same.
Watching Kuroshitsuji Season 1: Ah, I love Ciel.
Watching Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus: CIEL, I HATE YOU.
To conclude, I think this bow was great in 10 episodes! Certainly one of my favorites.

"Nothing in this world worried me as much as this self; this mystery of being alive, of being an individual, of being separated and isolated from all others..." Sidarta - Hermann Hesse
Buddhism is one of the greatest religions in the world. Although it is a religion practiced throughout the world, most practitioners are in the East. Buddhism has a disingenuous view of death, for it emphasizes death as one aspect of life, and there is no reason to fear it. And it's for this reason that there is a high rate of suicide in Japan. (And despite having a high rate of suicide, it's not
...
the one that is in the first position.) In Korea and India, the rate is much higher. Anyway... According to other religions, suicide is an abominable sin. But in Japan there is the view that suicide is not a matter of sin, but honor and responsibility. And such is the point. Death represents a latent state, during which energies are recharged for rebirth or a new life. Reincarnation.
There are two doors in Death Parade, being they entrance to the "sky" and "hell"
The sky, clearly representing reincarnation.
Hell, the ardence that will prevail.
And a simple game, it will tell you which door you will cross depending on how you acted.
In Buddhism, there are the "ten states of existence," being:
• Hell
• Hunger
• Animality
• Will
• Tranquility
• Joy
• Education
• Absorption
• Bodhisattva
• Buddha
And each of these states, representing us as human beings, manifest each state within itself. As happens during the anime, having as the emphasis on the "anger" state, which is what determines the door to which it should enter. Whoever crosses the door of heaven will live, for life is eternal. It does not end with death.
Closing this subject and starting the next one, the lotus flower.
In the East, the lotus flower means spiritual purity. The progress of the soul until it reaches the peak of enlightenment. The flower represents the overcoming of the pain and suffering of the physical world in reaching the enlightenment of the spiritual world.
Now her performance in anime:
It's possible to notice the presence of the flower at various times. As for example, it was part of the design of a specific character, the Oculus. There are also flashlights that appear in flower format. And finally, there is a scene where the Chiyuki appears surrounded by flowers, while sleeping. The white lotus symbolizes a pure body, mind and spirit, along with spiritual perfection and a pacification of nature itself. In Buddhist legend, it was reported that when Siddhartha, who later became Buddha, took his first seven steps on earth, seven lotus flowers sprouted. So every step of it represents a step in spiritual growth!
For some people, the biggest mystery in the world is why they are alive. Under what conditions did such an individual deserve the right to live? For some, life is a burden. But there is nothing simpler than life itself. Do you know why? Because the true value of life is to give value to one's life! There is a saying that "we only give value to something when we lose it" and it's the truest truth. You must look for the most beautiful, even in the darkest. For there is still a beautiful side to this world.
Death Parade is about reflection on the value of life and the question of human understanding. We often stop saying what we feel because we do not know how to express ourselves or how people will react; I have identified a lot in this respect, because I am someone who always thinks, but never says. And in the end, for people like me, we only have regrets, because we never know tomorrow.
Anyway, those were the details I could notice about the Buddhist symbology in Death Parade. I particularly found the anime sensational. The anime has a great premise, and is well structured, although I think that certain characters and stories, could have a little better development... The soundtrack and art are also beautiful and charming. I must emphasize one of the most beautiful scenes, which is when Chiyuki is ice skating. It's so simple and magnificent!
AND YES, THE OPENING IS AWESOME. I KNOW.
"Don't forget that one day you will die... And this is the reason to live now." - Decim.
