While 'Magical Girl Pretty Sammy' isn't an ecchi and Papillon Rose just isn't good, they're still both OVA parodies of the magical girl genre, whether they fail at being a parody or not is up to you

at first glance, the two don't really seem similiar other than their animation style as they were both directed by Satoshi Kon but 'Tokyo Godfathers' and 'Perfect Blue' both happen to have commentary that is even more relevant today than when they were made

I cannot fathom how much Yuzu and Mei look like Misaki and Usui if they were a lesbian couple, and while i mean that in terms of appearance, Mei, who look like Misaki, is too a student council president with a rude and cold personality

While they're pretty different, 'Millennium Actress' and 'The Tale of the Princess Kaguya' are still both movies about the life of a girl, its themes are very "Emotional And Captivating Fantasy Storytelling" according to Letterboxd which... yeah, true. Both movies are great and should be watched at least once.

Studio Ghibli movies that just feel similar to me, not sure why but it might be the strong connections the characters have or the drama aspect ( and also because both movies feels like queerbait-)

Both of these shoujo manga deals with a dark haired girl protag with a hatred of men ( in Misaki's case, her hatred of men is more extreme than Rin's since Rin is just distant from them ), both manga also has a popular blond male lead who's really popular with girls and doesn't show much emotion

both movies are about one or two characters going into another world ( the way to get to it is different in both movies ), said other world is a fantasy world where stuff like kings and princesses exist, the main girl is a princess in the other world in both movies too maybe not exactly top tier anime movies imo but they're both alright for what they are, isekai anime movies, yes i know Napping Princess isn't classified as such but it's still isekai to me

i feel like the connection between the two is pretty obvious, guy meets girl, said girl also happens to not be a normal girl and the reason why has something to do with water and also they fall in love because of course they do i'd recommend Bubble if you're in a mood for action but if you're in a mood for something more relaxing then i'd recommend Ponyo, just expect to see alot of water in both

I got the same vibes reading Ichiroh! than i did K-On!, it's cute girls doing cute things with the same humor and format and everything, although unlike K-on!, Ichiroh! does have a bit more male characters but it's still more focused on the girls ( both with some yuri, although it is more... there in Ichiroh! )

if you want something like Maid sama where the maid is the one in love with the other person, Kobayashi's Dragon Maid would be perfect for you, sure, Tooru is very different from misaki in terms of personality but they're still both maids, here are some oher similarities between the two shows : - both have "maid" in their title ( plus they both starts with a K ) - both have a character that would do anything to protect their crush - they're both rom coms ( although there's way more romance in Maid Sama ) - Kobayashi has the same kinda chill personality as Usui ( except that she isn't a tease ) - Kobayashi also seems to like maids like Usui does - both are a fun and lighthearted watch
