I'm going to be blunt: I did not expect to enjoy this Anime as much as I did.
Art: Unique, colourful and telling.
Animation: Nakamura levels of eye candy
Characters: Strange and funny, but at times difficult to understand
Story: Unlike anything I'd ever seen. I understood next-to none of it, yet still binged the whole thing in a day on the edge of my seat

To be honest i understand both sides of the coin in the debates on Solo Levelling:
Yeah, it's a banger. You'll finish it in a day and re-read it the next. It's just that fun to read. The originality and story, however, are lacking. I can see how some people don't agree with the "Hype" surrounding it. It's nothing new, and besides "grinding" the story doesn't seem to be going too far. Character development is always good, (Spoilers for the next line) he gradually loses his humanity while he gets more powerful. It is a little forced however, as a timid and scared weakling becoming a heartless ...

This Manhwa is a masterpiece in contrast to every single other "CTRL-C" "CTRL-V" returner/time traveller/gamer type manhwa out there. This Manhwa is just a masterpiece in general. I highly recommend everyone at least gives this a go, It's worth the read. It's funny, but not too often, it knows when to be serious. It's sad, sad enough to make me cry unlike every other Manhwa I've read. (Chapter ~65 ish). It's exciting, and there's action sequences more engaging than animated shows. Hellper is also well thought out, you can tell a lot of passion went ... |
