Okay. Let me start off by saying this reminds me of Deadman Wonderland. And that's not a good thing. The art of Mirai Nikki is great, no doubt about that. No doubt about the sound either. But, obviously, since my overall rating is a 4, I'll talk about the stuff that really made me "wat" this entire series. Already.
The story:
4/10. Imagine you thinking about an imaginary world when you're alone. Now, you've thought of a God. A God that rules over time and space. Because he is a God, he can do whatever he wants, so he is now reality! Following? Good. This God
...
is no kind God, he likes to mess things up. And so he does. He gives twelve people a diary. Not just any diary - a diary in the form of a cellphone, which predicts the feature of the owner up to 90 days in advance.
If you're bound to trip at 1pm on Monday, and you do, nothing happens. If, however, you know this, and take another route or make a jump where you're supposed to trip, the future changes, and this will reflect upon the future diaries. If your cellphone is broken, your future is gone, so in short: you're dead. The God sends all 12 on a quest, a game if you like, to survive. If you are the last man standing, you are the successor to his throne. Okay, sounds cool, right?
Well, no, not really. The main character, Yukiteru, is nothing but a wimp. Just like the main character in Deadman Wonderland. I'll have to look into who produces this show, but this can't be a coincidence. Yukiteru is a loner. His class consists of average people. Everyone wears shorts, jeans, skirts, proper shirts, shoes, has a 'real' hair color. All but one. Yuno. Yuno is a girl who wears a skirt that's seriously too short, and with bright pink hair. Oh, oh, guess who's going to co-star in this anime? Right. The pink-haired girl obviously.
Okay, to go on: Yukiteru reads his diary, sees he is going to die by "Third" and reads what is going to do. Example: 12:40 - I notice I'm followed. 12:45 - I'm still being followed. 12:48 - I run into a closed off building. 12:50 - I die. Now, this shitface KNOWS the future is accurate, and what the FUCK does he do? He runs into the goddamn building while he just passed dozens of people walking down the street, where he'd be safe.
Seriously, if you like pointless, unreal violence, to the point where it's just too much and it's silly, this anime is for you. If you're not - walk away. Fast.
My opinion:
This anime should be avoided by those who wish to see that things make sense. I cannot comprehend why this anime would get a 8,24/10 after the first episode. Nothing is wrong with settings in unrealistic universes and what not, but this is just a big no.

Let's just start this off by saying: wow. Honestly.. just wow. I've seen 10 episodes, so I know what I'm talking about.
Story:
The story itself is okay. The thought behind it is intriguing, but the way they've told it, the way they've progressed.. it's just absolutely horrible. "best security ever" is all they discuss for 3 episodes long, and when they finally infiltrate, they are all able to walk by freely. A hallway with 30 people in, someone asks you something, you punch them in the stomach, and then are able to get away without someone noticing? Yeah. Okay.
Art and sound:
The art is
...
okay. A bit dodgy at some points, but overall okay. The sound is great as well.
Characters:
Wow. Okay, here we go. The characters are inconsistent. Inconsistent to the point where you just want to tear your eyeballs out of frustration.
Main:
Shion:
He started off as a naive little kid, always seeing the positive side to things. It got a bit creepy when another kid, about his age, grabbed him from behind and pulled a knife to his throat. All he could do was laugh, smile, and not be terrified.
Later on, after the wasp bite, he manages to keep his positive side, even though he's really an unguided missile.
Nezumi:
This guy.. wow. If there'd truly be a Kira, he'd be at the top of the list. Never seen someone deceive so many people, enjoy it, and later on cry about it when alone in bed. Imagine asking someone for help by entering their bedroom doors from the outside, only to put up a knife to the kids throat.
Imagine saying "fuck you", "i wont help you even as you die", "your mom was a stinky old dog", and then later on to say "ill help you always". No sorry's, just this.
He hates Shion, but yet, has developed romantic feelings for him. If I knew this were to be a ecchi series, I'd never have started. This guy goes from killing someone in cold blood, to making sure his clothes don't get dirty, to avoid killing someone at all costs. He makes no sense. None of the characters do though.
Inukashi:
This woman hates everything in the entire world, and yet, loves everything that she owns. "Go fuck yourself and die" seems to be the attitude she has. Going after Nezumi when he's walking alone, accompanied by her dogs, she wants to tear him apart. Even though they're actually good friends. See how it doesn't make sense?
Side:
Rikiga. This guy must have been a pervert, and therefore placed outside of No. 6. There is no other explanation.
Youming. This guy seems like he wants to help, yet, only later shows his real intentions. Raping, killing and misleading the one he wanted to help.
Safu. Good girl. Bit weird to ask for a guy's semen only if the girl's.. what? 14-15?
Overall:
Don't bother watching. It goes to such extremes. From not hurting a fly to shooting someone in the head whilst they are lying on the floor begging for their lives. Note that I'm talking about the same character in both scenarios. I've yet to see more shittier characters than this anime does. If you feel I'm wrong in any way, feel free to contact me. I'd love to spread more hate about this anime.
Good god, please go watch something worthwhile. I will be finishing this, only because I don't like loose ends.

I've watched both Adventure and Adventure 02 back when I was a kid (I believe both were the English versions). Less than a week ago, I've started re-watching. All 104 episodes. Here are my findings, hope you find them helpful:
Characters:
No matter how you look at it - you'll compare it to the first season. Where the first season had 8 original characters, all with an amazing background, unique in every way, this series simply does not have the same amount of effort put into it. Daisuke is even bolder than Taichi was, to the extent of you wanting to smack him in the face. Big
...
time. The same with Veemon. He's like Daisuke, and thus, annoying as hell. Didn't grow to either one of them.
As for Miyako - wow. She's even more annoying. She's that one girl that nobody really hates, but has no real friends around her either. Comes from a family that runs a convenience store. Not really much to add here.. her Digimon is okay though.
Iori. Iori, Iori, Iori-kun.. back then, I thought Takeru was a crybaby and rather holding the team back. But this guy? Wow. His Digimon is somewhat okay, he reminds me a bit of Tentomon, but a little more childish and adding -dagyaa behind everything he says.
Takeru. Takeru sure has grown up. He's gotten used to fighting, protecting people, he's someone you can rely on. Patamon hasn't changed either. Both in a good way.
Hikari still is the same sweet girl she was back then, only a little bit more mature. Back in Adventure, Taichi said that "she was a person that really didn't care for herself, always sticking out for others". That quality seems to have been flying away in this series. Even though that's the case, she's still likeable.
Ken - well. I don't like him. Imagine someone torturing all of your friends, to the extent of almost dying, and then having him join your team because he was crying in a desert. Yeah. THAT kind of guy.
The story:
Well, yeah. A Chosen Child that thinks Digimon are just "data"-segments that have no feelings, and thus abuses them? With evil rings? And with a whip he hits his partner with? Okay. The story after the Digimon Kaiser-era (which took up 25 episodes if I'm not mistaken) grew a bit. Not a lot, just a bit.
I immediately resented the bit where Veemon came out of his Digimental, and instantly knew what to do. "YELL DIGIMENTAL-UP YOU BLOODY IDIOT, I DON'T HAVE ALL DAY!" is basically what it came down to. Where the original series was about the actual adventure, finding out what to do, where to go - this series has it all laid out before them.
The art:
It was still okay. Not that impressive, but good considering what year it came out in. Design of the Digimon.. well.. to be honest, I quite resented the Pegasus/Sphinx types that Patamon and Tailmon Armor-Evolved into. BlackWarGreymon and Parrotmon were Digimon that shouldn't have been introduced any further. Parrotmon had its charm because it was, well, just there when the original Digidestined saw it fight.
Sound:
The music was great. Well thought-through, just like the first series. Music, sounds, nothing to say about those but good things! :-)
Overall:
I enjoyed the series, even though there were enough things that bothered me. The biggest of them all was the following:
Remember how in the first series Digimon died all over the place? They wiped out Devimon without a second thought. That happened in the 13th episode. In the new series, the thought of having to "destroy"/delete Digimon, first occured in episode 40. And even then, when it finally came down to it, all new Digi-destined didn't like the idea. Honestly, someone is trying to kill you, but hey, let's not try to kill him back? That annoyed the hell out of me big time.
I still give the series a 7/10, mainly for the reason that the old Digi-destined (Taichi, Yamato, Sora, Jou, Koushiro and Mimi) were having a well formed role throughout the whole series. Don't get me wrong - if you've watched the first season, I highly recommend you watch this one, just don't get your hopes all the way up.
