"Doctor Tenma, for you all lives are created equal, that's why I came back to life. But you've finally come to realize it now, haven't you? Only one thing is equal for all, and that is death."- Johan Liebert
Oh boy, what a story. I don't really give 10/10 for mangas. I mean, i try to save the score for the best manga i will ever see. At least, that's what i thought before reading Naoki Urasawa`s masterpiece.
Story:
It was... oh man, an essay about human psychology and philosophy, as someone said. All the small details make the biggest difference, i think i
...
will have to read it many times to understand what Urasawa was trying to do. 10/10, without hesitation.
Characters:
I think Monster is well-known for this part. One of the best antagonist, Johan Liebert. Even if he has not that much screen time like the other characters, his importance on the story and other characters development throughout the chapters is so big. Clearly one of the best characters this media have ever seen. Great side characters. Tenma is still a top tier mc. 10/10
Art:
The weakest part in this manga. Even if some of the panels were outstanding, the art overall was alright. 7/10
Enjoyment:
For some people, the hard dialog can be boring, but if you liked series like Death Note, go for it, you will definetely like it. 9/10
Overall:
It was truly a masterpiece. Imagine if Death Note was perfect and you will get Monster. 10/10
