Jungle de Ikou! reminds me of those 1980s so-called novelty one-hit wonders on the radio... A piece of entertainment with no real depth, no real soul and some agressive silliness, but not without a certain charm.
This three-parter OVA series from the 90s is admittedly bad on many aspects, but its goofiness and lack of pretension can make it a passable guilty pleasure. Its jungle themeing is mostly an excuse to show characters in revealing outfits (when they are wearing any) and to provide as much fanservice as it could. This goes the same for the tribal dancing the characters use to transform or to use

their powers but the fact that they are teenagers makes the whole process lap into cringe-worthy territory.
The story is basic and not particularly well-developed and so are the characters. Only a few of them provide any interesting dynamics and none of them have deep personalities. None that are well explored in the series, anyway. The characters are portrayed as archetypes, not individuals. And they seem to be defined by their interactions with each other, rather than on their own. Yes, Natsumi and Takuma seem to enjoy bickering each other, but so what?
This is typical material for Chaos Project, which also made fanservice-heavy OVA like Variagle Geo and Futari Ecchi. So watching it depends on the type of attitude and expectations you get from this kind of material. It can make for a good time while you're watching it, but it's not really one you'd be keen on watching again.
