Honestly, it's not that bad. It's nothing amazing, but Monstaboo scratches an itch for cute human-monster relationships for me; however, I'm mixed on the fact that it drops multiple interesting plot points further on in the story.

Pros: The characters are usually interesting and fun to read about, the combat is decently choreographed (no JJK), and the subplot of loss is well done. I also love the villains and monsters in it, especially the main villain has that aura to him.

Cons: Too many ideas for the pot; the author brings up cool ideas just to either drop it or bring it in too late to ... really have lasting effects on the main story of Monstaboo. As well as the big "arcs" are usually more boring/contrived, but there are more interesting parts in it as well.

In conclusion, it's honestly a fun series I'd never recommend, but I'd bring it up in a conversation probably.

Ay yo, imma gas this shi up now. Okay okay okay, the main relationship is illegal, but some how this manga made me not even think that until I was conteplating this manga, like "damn girl really 40 to his 14", but I ain't even cryin about that cus this manga got me in the FEELS, like DAMN BOY; on a real note, this manga helped me think about love and friends more. Not even lying. I was a horny ass teen, now I am a horny ass teen who is slightly more sad (lol). But truly, I got a lotta respect for this shi, ... so read it. Trust me bro.

This is a decent fun anime that's basically a actually good Kono-suba with the most atrocious cgi I've ever seen (more on that later). I personally think no one should watch this if the cgi is important to them, but if you can maybe shrug off the shitty ass cgi it's a fun watch.

Now for the cgi, HOLY FUCKING HELL it's terrible, like I've watched the older Bionicle movies and that cgi is shit but it works because everything is cgi, but this cgi doesn't work with it AT ALL, but I still think this is a fun watch, but the cgi makes this anime ... terrible.

The only thing that could fix this is deleting this original and just remake this anime with better cgi or just draw the enemies, that will make this anime a great anime I would recommend for people, but god damn this cgi makes me so fucking mad.

This anime is so underrated, it's an over-the-top fun anime that goes into a darker side. The style also needs recognition, Artiswitch is another anime going for 3d models for their characters, but most parts of a scene is usually drawn, and the whimsical almost insane style when they "peer deeper" (they did change it from "peer deeper" to "look deeper" but I think "peer deeper" just sounds cooler)is so unique.

The music is very nice and goes really well with the wish worlds, especially Ruru's where she went insane along with the song. The plot may be loose at best but we're only on Episode ... 5 at this point so there's so much more to come for this great anime.

The characters that have their wishes granted may not get as much screen time as (who I presume is the main character) Nina, which is saddening, but we get to see a lot about those characters, but some have a mystery of "What's going on inside their heads?" like Ruru when she killed herself as her wish, which did actually affect Nina as a character/person and gives a reason why Nina wants to run. A character I wished that got more screen time is Akihiro because he was so interesting, especially his wish world. I liked the screen time for Mana because I'm a big fan of emo/punk stuff.

I don't usually write reviews for animes, but Mashiro no Oto (Those Snow White Notes) is the best anime I've seen, the performance of Shimazaki (the Japanese VA of Setsu) was amazing, the other characters actually felt like their own person and not just a character to push up Setsu, especially Kaito, he reminded me a lot of Ryuji Sakamoto from Persona 5, which was my favorite character from P5, and even if Kaito has a different situation then Ryuji, he still has a compelling story.

I didn't know or give a shit about the Tsuguru Shamisen before this anime, and holl shit I love ... the Shamisen know because of the beautiful sound, and on the subject of sound, the plot of Setsu looking for his sound just for his ideals to be shattered by Umeko because of her selfish desire to have Matsugorou sound alive again, while Setsu just wants to find his own sound, and the final scene of episode 12 when he goes to grab his Shamisen was the perfect end to the season, he has a true drive, not some bullshit one like "To be the strongest being possible", his drive is to find his own sound, this anime gets a solid 9.5/10.
