The plot has no weight, feels like there should be more risk for a reward if that makes sense. the pacing feelsbad as well 4 episodes in and 2 games done. 13 eppisodes and probably wont see season 2 advertising for a light novel that is probably on its last legs. The art is ok its a bit of the "standard" obviosully this show is taking inspiration from no game no life but this doesnt have the same feel. On a more positive note the OP and ED are both enjoyable to me, stupid small things irritated me like the first game they play ... they should have lost because of the fact that they had all the buildings broken and more were tagged for the golum gods side which the mc even points out. I will watch a bit more i guess or may just drop it not sure i see this going much of anywhere. I watched this because i wanted a current fantasy anime havent seen anything currrent in forever but this left a bad taste in the mouth.

I felt this deserved a review. I picked this manga soley based on the cover art and that it features an elderly protagonist. It is a very refreshing story something "new" . I like how the story goes into emotions showing prety much all of the main charaters views on each other and taking time to go into bnackstory. Honeslty the manga goes a bit too far into the process of fuilm making for my liking as i have no intrest in that. ( I do rather enjoy myself a film enojoyer though).
Themes - end of life regrets , sexuality and or lack of ... , romance, seeing the world through a digital lens, age gap and the awkwardness of fitting in.

it seems the physical books only are in french unfortunately. read scans up to vol 3. If anyone has an idea where to contiue reading or to purchase a translated copy please let me know!

Overall this was a lot deeper than I expected going into this. also Haru is defintely best girl

STORY:7

the main reson I didn't rate this higher is due to the lack of finish off the plot and character development. I guess when I went into this anime I had seen a youtube review of it , and what i got from it was girl does a radion show. I liked the girls personaloity so I watched it. was hooked from episode one. In a way I feel like it focused to much on the main protagonists (minore) ex boyfriend. I started wondering about hlaf way through will there be another chapter ... of her romantic interests?? ehhh I'm starting to ramble a bit (just like the show :) I tried explaining the plot to a friend and found it really hard to describe in an interesting way... IDK but i think that kinda sums up how I feel about the story... It is good but starts to drag wehen the main romance plot is dragging on with minore just doubting herself in the end... if it weas longer it might have been better although i feel 24 eppisodes would have been too much.


ART: 7

The art is solid. I really like the character designs. The animation didnt seem to sloppy. The op and ed had really goood animation and didnt spoil the plot which can sometime happen in shows. on a little offtopic there is minamal fanservice in the show can count maybe 3 from memory which is rare now a days. Alsways looking for something i could show my overtly strict parents.


SOUND: 10

The sound strangely enough was one of my favourite parts of this show. I loved both the OOP and ED. I really loved the main characters VA, They all are really pleasing to lisen to ( and holy shit Mizuho's VA was so cute) Modoka's VA when speakling english sounds like a different person in a cool way.


I guess those are the main points I wanted to address. The characters were pretty much all enjoyable (except for tachibana's brother he kinda pissed me off with his overprotectivenessand the fact that they didnt develop him more showiing that he changed and was less overprotective towards her)

would rewatch would like to own the BR if under 40 usd hopefull a season 2 comes out and elaborates more and gives a "true" end but I dont know the source material to know how much there is left

overall the story was my biggest problem. the first two episodes are pretty good and dragged me into the story. but the last two episodes feel rushed and forced in ways. had me questioning if i missed part of the episode multiple times. several thing are not really explained.

art was pretty good actually thought this was an early '00 anime. character designs are real nice and the backgrounds are fitting for the story.

sound had a nice wanna say funk vibe going on. op and ed ... were both nice and enjoyable.
guess i said all i had to say characters are semi developed but never full fleshed out

overall its worth a watch. it is about as long as a movie so its not super long or anything.

first of all it doesn't have a finished ending feeling, there isnt even an ova that ends it like future diary. this is the main reason the show isnt rated positive. as far as the story it starts of pretty simple, gets a bit more jumbled towards the middle and end part. the pacing is pretty bad in this show, i actually took a fairly long break around episode 8, because it stopped interesting me.

its bareable, it is an older anime pre 2005 so i give most of the animation problems to the age. but there ... are some horrid face animations. mostly involving anita and the people she is kicking..

i have never really had a problem with the sound portion of an anime review but , i had multiple problems with not eing able to hear the characters and of course the outro song starts waay too loud. both the OP and ED song felt off somehow, the fit but they didn't fit

characters were alright i could feel semi connected to them. definitely gave me some feels (a fair amount) didn't cry though sadly. characters back stories are hinted at but not explained (really frustrating tbh).

overall i would say i recommend it but just realize it doesn't have a conclusive end or an ending where you can guess what happens. worth some weekend binging feels though. cute Anita and some decent fights. 4.5/10

All i can say is finally. I've been putting this show off for two years.
I read the manga about 3 years ago.

OK ill start with the story. its a nice blend of military and shounen. but it feels horribly mixed with comedy. umm not really anything negative about the story besides the pacing it feels waaay to long during the later half of the anime.

the art is OK better than the old one by a bit. the op and ed are where the art really shows. probably just me but i hate it when anime try to pull manga style gags with the art. ...

the music really didn't get my attention for any of this so i gave it a 5

overall it started out good but started to really drag halfway through it has a nice ending though. a bit to militaristic for my tastes. worth the watch but I don't get the hype

Ok I'm going to try and keep this short.

At the time of this review (episode 759)

Story: amazing. Indepth. All of it seems to be connected. If I were to complain it's that the story can seem repetitive from arc to arc. Another good thing about this anime story is that after looking back at the arcs I found that I enjoyed the filler arcs the most.

There is an art style downgrade from after the time skip that is pretty bad considering what art we have today in anime

Another thing that started idiot aging me post time skip was the incidental music. I ... mean for 400 episodes it's alright but by the dressrosa arc I was kind of sick of it.

Anyway if you are new to this series or contemplating weather or not to watch, it's long as hell and only getting longer but it was well worth my time.

First of the things I enjoyed about this series
I enjoyed the character designs, the story, and the 2nd closing and ending songs.

the reason I rated this anime so low ( the main reason ) is the story plot holes and technical errors. Who kills Zwei in the end? Why is there so many time skips? Another thing that highly irritated me was the fact hat th routes were obious and poorly put together. How were Ein and Zwei rescued? Or how did they survive? How did that little girl ... ( forgot her name was the 3rd phantom )become opaii Maximus from a washboard in two years while Zwei who looks older end up going to high school? What was with Ein's change in personality after the 2nd time skip?

Also why show nudity in the first 20 seconds of the first episode? Seemed really tacky. I'm ok with nudity but there were scenes that could have used some nudity ( Claudia and Ein ).

Personally I couldn't get into the characters. There were some scenes that I would have cried on but because I didn't "feel" the characters the feels were non existent.
It's wierd though if they stopped the anime on episode 11 after both Ein and Zwei had died and maybe had a wrap up episode after, it would have been a much better anime.

Over all it's worth a watch but slightly irritating on details.

First of all: KAWAII OVERLOAD!!!

Story- there was no over arching story. I was kind of hoping for one similar to the first season of to love ru. This is neither a bad thing or a good thing in my mind but there wasn't really a story. And there's no kiss. That's my big criteria for a romance slice of life, that make or break. I really enjoyed the circle things they used to separate stories kind or made me think of the 4 panel manga it was based off of.

Art- Average, passable, Cute. I didn't really like the main male Character design but it's ... nothing to complain over.

Sound- literally either the best or second best ive heard. I listened to the op and ending song every time. I even found myself trying to sing it (badly). Cute lyrics and catch tune.

Characters-- pretty much every MC reminded me of another MC from other shows. The characters are wonderful to watch even if this does feel like a Japan equivalent of sponge bob.

Enjoyed this to pieces. Looking for a collectors set and LE because it deserves a home.

SLIGHT SPOILERS

I really wanted to give this a 10/10. But there were some things about it that are my reasonings.

The story is really compelling and interesting. But there were a couple times that it dragged on such as the middle of the York New city arc and (kind of) the arc with the ants. But overall worth the drag. A good thing about the story is that it hooks you straight away in the first couple of episodes. Major reason why it's not 10/10 for me is that they chose to show what happened to each character in 5 minutes at the end behind ... the ending song. I mean especially with the tease about kuripika (most likely misspelled) and Leorio not getting an answer.

Art- nothing outstanding, not crap. Not god tier.

Sound- for the first 30 episodes or so good op nice ending song, but then you realize they keep it for pretty much the entire show. I almost missed the resolution with the other MC's because they chose to do that behind the ending song. Should have had at least one other op. On a more positive note the Dubb is 10/10 in my book.

Characters- I really enjoyed and felt the characters on a personal level. I cried multiple times towards the end.

Overall- get your animu loving butt over to the web and watch this anime. It isn't #5 for nothing.
