The biggest satisfaction is when a show knows what it wants to be and it fully shoots for it. There are no gimmicks, no distractions, and it keeps mostly the same tone throughout. Like in real life, you don't have a hand in intensity of happenings around you, that maybe accidentally also often keeps the show fresh. That seemingly arbitrary scene intensity attempts to attain the attention high, I felt because of this that the constant atmosphere was not exhausting.
Kuzu no honkai is a rather eccentric show. Firstly, i recommend watching this alone, it is fairly uncomfortable to watch with others as it contain scenes
...
that everyone would rather keep private. This will be a completely spoilerless review. Will be rather philosophical, and i will try not to hint anything.
I was mostly fascinated by how the show was made around the characters. From start to finish, there is tons of inner monologue that completely goes into the thinking of the characters. It is done in a way to actually not feel like dumb info dumping, but has a nice tonal switch between thoughts left for interpretation, and thoughts that could easily be taken for granted. By keeping such structure you could say it goes deep. Having this form of character introductions by having more than enough material could mean that the characters are complex and have depth.
While in those thoughts or carefully planned words between characters, you're being shown an interesting aesthetical trick which beautifully invokes their thoughts. It revolves around showing many shots in the same moment, all appearing usually connected to what is currently being said. It adds to the dynamic and further enhances the experience. The overall visuals are splendid, they're of painting art style, graced with many colors and fits well with the overall melancholic tone of the show.
Some issues could be that the characters only have "love" and "sexuality" going for them. "Could" because it may not be a mistake to not give on distractions and only givin to fully exploring those two themes. However, if hobbies or such were nicely incorporated, it could make the show freshen. Next, some could be frustrated on the characters and by their unrealistically daring attitudes at times. That may be justified in order to make the drama at times more intense as having a border between ficion and reailty is okay to make the fiction better if intended. Lastly sometimes the depth and monologue could come as offplace or an overkill. Realistically, people don't want sometimes to think, and would rather give in to pleasure without having a need of anything else.
VA was on point, tried not to be similar to generic anime voice acting. Ends up fitting since the show seems to try to go for TV drama like style. music just doesn't feel offplace, I haven't noticed much about it but it didn't ruin the atmosphere of any scene as I remember.
Talking about anything else is rather useless since its subjective. The show is rather controversial. But what sold for me was the character exploring, I always wanted a show where every thought is heard. Whilst also being given to your interpretation of what their thoughts actually mean. I didn't give this a 10 because it is forgettable. Strong scenes feel like that when you watch it, but it hasn't left me wondering weeks later.

Plastic nee-san is the most enjoyment you can get out of 25 minutes. Plastic nee-san is divided into 12, around 2 minute episodes, that approximately together last 25 minutes. They don't make a story together, each episode is a different situation. What they offer is pure comedy with very realistic punch-lines and over the top scenarios that can happen only in anime. Anime can be used for pure entertainment, for intellectual satisfaction, and some compelling stories. Plastic nee-san doesn't fail one bit as for entertainment as it was not trying to be anything else.
It is about 3 female best friends, that are so close to
...
each other, that insulting, and being rude for a second to anyone of them, is actually quite normal for them. Because of it, and how relaxed the characters are to each other, their chemistry is flawless. You can easily connect it to some of your best friends where you push the jokes over the top, where insulting each other only brings fun... Talking about random stuff, and having fun with it. Additionally, there are a few side characters that add up. They have really unique personalities (good, bad or plain hilarious). With them, they fill up some episodes with a little bit different humor. They don't overuse any jokes, so every scene will be refreshing and funny. Since the characters are really fun, and can connect to real life, together with anime limits of graphical images that go beyond real world, it can show you humor never seen before.
When I mention those images, I'm referring to, first of all, the facial expressions that are unique to anime. That, of course, you can't replicate to filmed series. Or the movements that's possible to do in anime; like speed faster than light, or different body language unique to anime. That was animated and drawn pretty well, and that also increases the humor even more in Plastic nee-san. Those 2 elements together make a perfect comedy strictly unique to plastic nee-san, which makes this one of the best comedies ever. Further more, it is armed with a fitting soundtrack that goes on with the show pretty well.
I rarely feel sad, but when I do, I just go watch some Plastic nee-san. After a few minutes I'm as good as new. Because the interactions are so natural, and humor is really good, I would suggest this to anyone, even to those who never watched Anime before.

Danmachi is an anime made to be simple. First of all, you won't see anything complex here. I see it as one of the budget anime, where there's nothing special about it, but it sells. It feels like sao season 3, just with more fan service. The purpose that I've found of Danmachi, is to serve as a passtime, and relaxation after you've exhausted the list of must watch anime, or if you want something "casual".
Right at the start, there is a narration, that quickly shows you a bit of how the world works. Later on, in the first episode you will of course find
...
out more. What you will be finding out is, that that world is basically an RPG. It doesn't say anything about this being a game, but it simply works like that. People that aren't gamers probably won't understand most of the stats, leveling and item thingies. There are adventurers, that follow certain goddesess, which lost their divine power, just to have fun with mortals. The purpose is to conquer the Dungeon that is in the center of the world, and beat all the bosses. Doesn't sound like anything special, does it? Feels like you're watching someone else play an MMORPG, since everything is very easy-going.
*Minor spoilers in this paragraph
The adventurer that we are following is Bell Cranel. He is a guy that is naive, wants to be a hero, good mannered. But he's STUPID. The first scene we meet him, is when he was being chased down, just to see him soon saved from the strongest adventurer there is, that is supposedly a female. After being saved, he falls in love with her, and his motive is, I MUST GET STRONGER JUST TO REACH HER. Later on I will talk more about her. Soon after we meet his goddess, that is Hestia. I can describe her very quickly. Loli, with boobs, and throughout the entire series, you will only see her going after Bell. This serves to stop Bell from ending up with anyone. Hilarity ensues, except i didn't find it that funny, because it's the most stupid love triangle. Instead of bell going for the one that is extremely caring for him, he chases the strongest female, that turns out to be an airhead which we will see later on. And because it is all like that, the dialog is extremely stupid, leading to nothing. If they're not talking about adventure, they're talking about how the sky is beautiful or something like that. Another stupid character he meets, his supporter, living in the guild with the most ridiculous motive (more wine!). She has a very inconsistent personality. At first she wants to scam Bell, for his items. She accidentally falls down, the weapon gets out, and miraculously, that happens in front of a good character related to Bell. Cheap trick just to get the supporter some forced character development. Bell soon gets it back, without him noticing anything, 'cause it's Bell! Soon after witnessing her betray him again before his very own eyes, and she tells him that she already betrayed him once before, Bell forgives her, risks his live to save her, and the harem increases. On the question why? He answers that he didn't know (but he does! The writer told him, that he will gain a new motive; protect thine friends!) Most of the characters are plot devices that lead to a boring story.
Bell cranel has a Premium account, and he's the only one. He's the chosen one, and while the world seems very balanced, Bell with his unstable personality, manages to do great things, and beat monsters, that realistically speaking, if the world is based on stats, his weapons should just break. What's the point in stats and leveling, if it doesn't even show how powerful someone is. But he gets an ability, that makes it impossible to lose. Literally impossible, even though it is not instant. He's just beating everything through out his screams, that sound really good. He isn't a chicken Gary Stu like i describe him, he first falls, and than comes back, it isn't like he's god mode walking through everything. He also sees invisible people because he feels their eyes on him, perfect logic. Premium account, or hacker? You decide!
The fights are very good, not anti-climatic, they also have very nice music, and sounds, and are also animated extremely well. There's even a lot of blood going, and you can feel really well how the monsters get sliced up. The music is really epic, but the opening is just, no. It feels like it is for some slice of life show. It should sound more adrenaline pumping and exciting not like this. The music is at it's peak in the fights as i mentioned. And this is one of the few anime where i really enjoy the fights. Even though they're just shit Bell has to go through. However, the art and character designs are not well done for 2015, but they aren't terrible.
I didn't talk about all the characters, since most of them exist just to be there. Nothing to talk about them, since they don't do much for the plot. Even though it is all cliched, by my point of view, i usually don't like this stuff, and would rate this even lower. The only special thing about Danmachi is that it is not boring to watch; it's so easy-going with many flaws. It's like so simple, that it is fun in the same time, it gives off some kind of a nice feeling. If it is nice why is it only 4? Because the characters, are mostly annoying, and the story is just shit Bell goes through, without him receiving any character development.
I've just stated in this Review mostly how I feel about it. It is of course possible for people to enjoy this. Since it is, like I mentioned, very simple. If it isn't objectively good, it doesn't mean it won't be fun. With being simple, and the way the pacing is easy-going, together with intense battles, there is no sin if you enjoy it. It doesn't try much to be what it isn't, and I didn't give 4 since it failed, rather because i didn't like it. Since i usually burn this kind of anime down and I didn't really hate it as much as I could, most people would still find much more enjoyment in Danmachi than me.

This anime's plot is exactly as the tittle suggests.
It offers many different, in most cases funny occasions in which the characters meet up. There are actually plenty of characters, and they have all unique atmospheres about them, but their characteristics are very simple. Interactions between this simple characters are executed perfectly, they all fit their roles pretty well. I'd say the best part of it would be characters, just by seeing them you will be laughing with guesses on what might happen.
The punchlines will make your sides hurt, and they start from episode 1 up till the end. There are just a few parts
...
where it isn't so funny, like it could be. The plot is like a marathon of special episodes of some show. There are a few "specials" that are connected to each other, which leads to character development. Yes... legit character development in a slice of life show. Apart from the comedy, this anime follows realistic motives. Like troubles with starting an conversation with an opposite sex that you don't know quite well. It usually turns out hilarious, but you could also learn something from here.
Sound is what is also another exceptional part here. Usually it is slow, which fits the mood or plot progression. I didn't personally find music out of sync. The OP is good, while i personally didn't like the ED, I felt like it was annoying. Voice acting is really impressive. When they act they change the voice dramatically that it feels right in the place, or just plain hilarious.
Art and animation would be the main criticism i give. It feels too plain and simple for 2012, it fills the atmosphere but i still feel it could have been more beautiful. The animation has some drops in quality, but in some parts the producers were exerting themselves when they put more effort on some little stuff, that could bring you up a feeling of fulfillment after you notice it. However, i don't praise anime much on art and animation, and it shouldn't be your main concern in this anime.
As I said this is full of comedic "specials", however there are a few parts that are actually just entertaining to watch without having a need to laugh. They serve to just make you a little bit happy, preparing you for the next funny scenes. I find it brilliant because humans can't laugh non stop. It's a nice time to take a break without having a need to stop watching for a while.
I enjoyed this a lot. It is very catchy so i finished it quickly. Easy going, simple and funny, you could watch in most times, in most moods, so feel free to give it a shot. Just the first episode will get you hooked. I didn't want to point out any scenes, so that you could experience them first hand in a glorious way. For comedy it would be a 9, because some scenes aren't so brilliant like most of them. Overall as an anime i give it an 8, which scores high in my book.

"This opportunity is always dangling in front of your eyes. You must grab this opportunity and act on it. And if you not, you will walk this life as now, ever unchanging." For starters, the opportunity would be this anime, and you shouldn't miss it, as it will impact your life, just as the quote suggests.
This starts off with a fast dialog quickly summing you up on the "world" the main characters lives in. You will quickly notice the special art that is very different from regular anime in any age. It doesn't resemble any art on any anime ever made, it might rather resemble
...
a little bit of a regular cartoon. It could suit your taste, or you can just live on with it, however, this kind of artstyle is very open to symbolic images. Rather then watching how the plot progresses, the animation is based around the thoughts of the character. In the same time while you're reading the subs, you could take a glimpse of the image going on, and it will force you to think at the same time while reading. So this is not for just pass time, it fills a role of a psychological activity that might change the way you think about certain situations in life.
The most amazing thing about this anime are the characters. They're well thought out and written. Watashi, the protagonist, is just a regular guy pursuing the regular "rose-colored campus life". He thinks that it is perfectly normal, that it is finally time to leave his past behind, and start anew. On his "adventures" he meets Ozu. He is a "demon" looking guy, his look resembles his personality as in he feeds on others unhappiness and sadness. Another notable character would be Akashi. She is not so sociable, doesn't like to interact with others, but she's very open to people that are close to her. There are many other characters, but telling you about them here would just spoil it.
Another unique part of this show would be it's diversity. As it offers many different perspectives throughout the episodes, featuring "new" characters, or rather remade characters. This show with its diversity makes you question is what you're doing the right choice? I mean it's the right choice to watch this, but I'm reffering to normal life. This teaches you in some way that what's done is done. You can wish, or think of what would've happened if you did or didn't do something, but that alternative way won't happen. However, you can experience how it would really end up if it did, in this show.
This also shows you that while you're going for your life goal, you're living your life, not when you reach it. When you do, many more ways to other goals open.
Some episodes serve as a purpose for later development but just going through them isn't as fun as watching the climax of the show. Most of them are actually very fun, but there are 1 or 2 that are good, but not so fulfilling. Those episodes before the climax are what tells me to not give this show a 10 because these little flaws are what keep the perfect shows from near perfect, so i settled for a 9.
Even though this appears mysterious , the message of this anime is clear as a river, so you won't have the "wtf factor" up. I repeat, you shouldn't miss this opportunity.
