In both the series the MC is surrounded by bishies who care about them and want to protect them. Both the MCs are head strong and stubborn, when they decide on doing something they won't back down no matter what. Li Leng is very similar to Conrad and both even have the same seiyuu. The difference is that kyo kara maoh mainly focuses on comedy while hanasakeru seishounen is more of romance, another would be that the MC in KKM is male and the one in HS is female.

- In both series the protagonist is the male reincarnation of the girl one of the characters loved in her past life, they meet their reincarnation and protect them without clearly speaking about their past lives or relations. - The protagonist is surrounded by bishounen who all want to protect him. - Kyo Kara Maoh only has slight hints of shounen-ai while Uraboku takes it a little more seriously but both are safe to watch (at least for someone like me who doesn't like much physical romance in any form). Nothing ever happens between the guys. - KKM has a haremish feel while uraboku has predetermined pairs - KKM is more focused on comedy as compared to uraboku
