Both series are over the top and filled to the brim with action. Both series also have quirky and fun side characters. The animation are also fluid and are unique. Both series also have slight cartoon like animation.

Both series contains battle of wits between the main casts. Kaguya is more comedic in tone, whereas Death Note is more mature. The main duo of each series are well developed and likable.

The main male lead of both series have the same type of thought patterns. Both are just as hilarious. Noucome has a slight supernatural theme but both series have almost the same type of setting. The female leads are also eccentric and unique in both series.
