Well this is my first review so here goes.
This Code Geass R2 is a sequel to the first season (well no shit).
Art: The animation done overall throughout the series was pretty amazing. I was stunned by the mecha animation as I don't watch mecha very much so that added to my enjoyment even though I honestly don't like mecha verymuch.
Plot: Well lemme think of this plot...it was a bit...."meh". Now before you go on a fan rage let me explain myself. The fact is season 2 was shit compared to season one. Being a continuation the writers may have gotten lazy. Some parts seemed random
...
where lelouche pulls out a random tactic not even explained too well or the plot just turns around to much "just because". although the ending seemed more organized (last few episodes) overall it was decent.
Sound: The sound track was great at some parts and over used at some parts. Some sad scenes made it more dramatic but the action parts were a bit "meh" (just didn't impact me, probably due to over use.)
Characters: well let me think, the characters had a personality change a lot on this one. The thing I don't like (being objective) is the exposition for some. an example is how Lelouche's mother just came out of no where and how lelouche's father was made less of an asshole. I was really annoyed by the fact that some characters just change instantly like they have some bipolar disorder like "OMG LELOUCHE IS EVIL" then 5 seconds later "I LOVE AND WANT TO HELP HIM". To me it seems all major characters have this pattern.
Enjoyment: I can say that it took me a while to finish code geass r2. When I got half way through it still hot on the excitement of the first, I was very disappointed. It didn't really catch me and I had to force myself to finish all of it. I enjoyed the last part. It seemed like the only true part the writers got good for R2.
Overall: I would say all criteria pass the test with an average score. Why? While some parts were amazing and god like, others were just average at most. The plot was everywhere which made me lose interest. The art stayed near top tire for mecha scenes but failed to deliver on others. Sound track was overused on fight scenes to the point where I could practically predict when it would be played. Major Characters all suffered bipolar disorders.
These are all negative points, but what about the positive points. Don't let me spoil the fun for you because this series came up with the most interesting stuff ever. I would watch for myself instead of just listening to my opinion.
Some parts of this show can be thrilling and make you want to jump out of your seat so give it a shot.
