Detective Conan kept me up many nights as I did not wish to stop watching. The episodes are well thought out with genius ideas for tricks. We had a wide array of cast with some showing up once in a blue moon to others that were there in most episodes. This anime gave me lots of enjoyment and I do not regret watching a single episode.
When thinking about the art, we have to remind ourselves when the anime first came out. An anime that first began airing in 1996 will obviously start off with art quality that is not the best. The sound was not

the best at the beginning. What kept me watching was an anime that had a great story and made us think carefully while watching. It made me think about what the possible trick could have been and who was the culprit. This is something that I do not see often with anime. Most anime I have watched just require me to watch and not put too much thought into it. I loved how it was able to engage me so well. As the years progressed, the art quality improved and even though at this time, the art is by no means the best, it would not be able to change my opinion on the anime.
The music in this anime was great. It was able to build suspense and have me shake at times when it required. It was able to make me more emotional when necessary. I found myself captivated by the openings and endings and I listen to them all the time. The main issue with the sound is that after all these years, the sound gets repetitive and doesn't make me feel the same way towards it as I once did.
The characters were very well though out. As each episode progressed, I easily grew attached to characters that I were not even going to appear in future episodes. The tone the anime had made it simple to connect with the characters and just feel what the characters felt.
I adored this anime and have never once wondered if it was worth spending all this time on Detective Conan. While there are many episodes, I definitely thought that each and every episode was necessary to create my all time favorite anime. I will just be going about my day when I see something that reminds of a random episode from the anime and the details of the anime start coming to me as I remember what happened.
