This manga is a treasure to me. Without going in with much knowledge of it I quickly took it for a manga with charming qualities and adventure time aspects. After a few chapters I realized it went for a completely different story which I was not expecting at all. A story that leads you on in both the best and worst ways.

I am disappointed. I began reading this with so much enthusiasm and interest but as the story progressed I gradually lost more and more interest. I had high hopes that the story could gradually redeem itself but I don't believe it did.
Story: My impressions of the first couple of arcs were very solid. I genuinely had an interest on how the story would continue. But after a while there was a very noticeable pattern. Man I had high hopes for this show. It started off alright.
The typical "reason why this person got sent to another world" wasn't so bad I can actually say I liked it. The world building in the beginning was great. We see different people/monsters or whatever you call them and see the main characters interaction with them and how it helps him become a known figure in his world. When I started watching this I had no clue what to expect! I saw a cute opening and some middle school girls doing typical things but things quickly changed.
Asobi Asobase is the type of anime that you never fully understand but can definitely enjoy. I enjoy the amazing voice acting from the girls and the way the way their expressions are drawn.
