You might like this show if you're a similar anime fan as I am;
Watching Bleach, Naruto, DBZ, Gundam Seed etc. whatever was on the weekend channels wherever you grew up (as for me, YTV in Canada).
This is a good show. Good action sequences (not just brief flashes of MC in different positions to signify movement, but well-choreographed fight scenes). Good character development, and good side characters.
Orphen is the story of one of the strongest wizard apprentices in history abandoning his wizarding school when they basically label his best-friend-turned-monster as a target to be killed. So, he follows his values and leaves the organization. Basically, this
...
season is about him trying to save the person in question, while exploring the world and meeting new people. It was super refreshing to find a new anime that was action-based where the MC wasn't a complete limp-**** simp, which so many people seem to love. He is strong right from the beginning but not too OP, and has good character.
They don't hold your hand with deaths or violence in this anime, not that it's over the top but it's still none of that "five inch laceration on your stomach that doesn't bleed and I'm fine in the next scene" nonsense.
I up-rated this a bit because it blew my mind to see a 5.80 rating when legit rape and pedophile animes have higher ratings on this site, god help the depraved virgins that watch and defend that garbage.
Good fights, decent story that tracks, and decent characters make for a solid 7/10 anime that brings any 25+ person back to their childhood with the anime vibes that this gives off, in a good way.
If I've learned anything from this site, it's not to ignore the low-rating animes. Remember the type of illegal shit that goes on in so many high-rated anime (ishizoku reviewers or whatever, come on that little angel child has vivid sex scenes with some pedophile excuse that 'hey it's anime I'm older than I look!) and never forget that those people have equal rating rights as you. If you see a premise you like and art style that looks decent, put 10 minutes into watching it and feeling out the waters instead of 20 minutes reading reviews written by people with different preferences.

For the OGs, if you want a classic magic/battle seinen anime with an OP main character that isn't entirely plot-protected, then this is the one. The side characters do their job; they're not amazing, but they each compliment the story in their own way. Action sequences are actually pretty well done, and the MC is already a mature adult so there's none of that beta-male-good-for-nothing MC that so many people seem to like for some reason.
This isn't a story where we follow each character from 0 to hero, but where everyone is already established as themselves. By this, I mean that characters have their own
...
magic and attacks etc. without having to explain it to the audience beforehand or having to have brief descriptions of these characters, which is more realistic. If you battled a random person in a magic world, as if you'd know what the opponent's skillsets are / what spells they can cast, it would all be random and you'd have to fight for your life. I've heard a lot of complaining about the fact that we're just "thrown into" this story, but I prefer the fact that we don't have to waste 4 episodes on powering up and learning the basics, our MC Orphen is already established as one of the most talented wizards in the world at the beginning of the story.

This is the first story that gets 10/10 across the board for me. I feel like it's mostly the anime OG's that like the Gundam franchise, which makes me feel bad for all those people looking for a gritty story that's both great and gruesome, with adult themes, unique characters, and an epic, well-written storyline, who don't watch this.
Story: This is the origin story of the original Gundam's antagonist, Casval Rem Deikun, the son of a prominent man in the space colonies that surround Earth. It begins with him as a child, and quickly progresses to the point where he is a young man. You
...
don't need to watch any of the other Gundam shows to understand what's going on here, since this is a prelude to everything in the Universal Century (one of the many Gundam timelines/universes)
Art: Beautiful by anime standards.
Sound: Perfect mix of silence and awesome orchestra.
Character: This is an anime where character truly shines, at least with the protagonist. The glimpse into his childhood during the first two episodes sets the stage for his future development. He is cunning and deadly, and ruthless AF. All about the low-key plotting and planning, manipulating and loose-end removing. His sister is a secondary main character, and so is Rey Amuro, the OG Gundam protagonist.
Enjoyment: 10/10, easy. This is part of a short list of amazing anime, the likes of Attack on Titan, Castlevania, Blood of Zeus, and Gundam Seed Remastered. Do yourself a favour if you're still on the fence, and check it out. It's better than the 80% general garbage that is most anime, and is one of those shows that gets people into anime in general.
If you like sci-fi or mecha, this is the apex of those genres. I would show this to my parents with no embarrassment, which I can't say for 98% of anime.

I haven't laughed at an anime like this in a while. Don't listen to the low-rating lames, this show was made 100% for the homies that have been in Peter's position, and the ones that have fantasized about it.
Story: It's a straight forward comedy/ecchi, that's, in essence, about the "hero" constantly being sought out by sexy girls that want to **** in order to make the strongest-bloodlined babies. All of these girls are sexy af and representative of a different race/species (ogres, orcs, elves, etc.) And unlike that creepy pedophile Ishu-whatever Reviewers that sexualizes children (that angel girl/guy looks like a 9-year-old, come on people),
...
it does ecchi justice without making you feel like scum for laying eyes on the screen (It just makes you happy about regular ecchi stuff). If you like ecchi, then don't hesitate--this show has more uncensored T and A than Highschool DxD or any of the other ones that are well known, like a LOT more, and no pedophile nonsense (sorry loli downvoters).
Characters: They exist solely to fulfill their roles, and they do it perfectly. This isn't a 10/10 shawshank redemption storyline, this is a T&A ecchi/comedy. Peter is hilarious; his moral dilemmas of trying to remain faithful to his classic "Pure and innocent, gorgeous girlfriend" are comedy gold.
Sound: The opening song doesn't really stick out in my mind, but the soundtrack is perfect imo for what type of story this is, and the ending song is pretty cool tbh, I'd listen to it outside of anime.
Art: Nothing exceptional, but passable. It's great when it counts (uncensored moments).
Enjoyment: Man, did I crack up with this one. Every single episode, many many times. This is the first show with 12 minute episodes that I've ever watched, since I like a lot of content, but I just looked at it as six 24-minute episodes and gave it a shot. Glad I did!
Overall: Overall, this is hands down the best ecchi I've seen in years, to the extent that this is my first review after twelve years of watching anime and ecchi is like my fourth favourite genre. I usually check out the reviews of an anime before I decide whether or not to watch it, and most of the time I lose interest as soon as I see a certain number of negative reviews. This time, I just played this on crunchyroll expecting some isekai ecchi (before they took it down in Canada) and was cracking up. Most ecchi have some little dope of an MC who is scared of women and doesn't act like a man would in reality, meanwhile Peter is the epitome of man. Highly recommend!
PS: To those like me, that usually lose interest after checking out reviews, just say F it and go for it next time you see an interesting concept. I've seen at least eight anime with less than 6-star rating in the past year that were great, and meanwhile most of the 8/10+ aren't something I'd like. Try it next time!
